Unfortunately we were forced to cancel our original trip in October 2020 but were able to rebook in June 2021. The resort did a spectacular job in having all of our original plans rebooked so we were able to recreate the original. The resort is just beautiful with exceptional facilities and make you feel miles away from the city when it’s actually right outside the gates. Breakfast was excellent and as I said the service was spectacular arranging everything from transportation to tours. The drivers and guides they arranged were all fantastic. Special mention to Antonio who helped with everything even though we undoubtedly asked for a lot. Thanks for everything
Our stay at Bosco De' Medici Resort was flawless... from the accommodations, to the breakfast (& dinner), to the amenities & grounds, & - especially - the service (specifically Antonio). Antonio went above & beyond for us several times -- such dropping us at the restaurant we dined at Friday evening, preparing piping-hot brioches each morning, permitting us to check out 30 minutes late, recommending THE best gelato shop in centro Pompei &, perhaps most importantly, giving us a pre-arrival phone call to say that we should book a guide for our Pompei tour given that it could've been very dull for our 11 year-old son otherwise (he was so right). Our room at Bosco De' Medici was spacious, with a small refrigerator & a little outdoor patio. The resort itself has a huge pool & beautifully-landscaped grounds but what my son loved most was the "fattoria", or farm. Here, you'll find peacocks, cows, a donkey, pigs (there were 7 newborn baby piglets when we visited), turtles, chickens. There are a lot of equestrian activities, too, but we didn't book anything so I can't share an opinion on this part of the resort. There are huge gardens growing all kinds of produce & the winery is lovely. We had dinner here one night & were blown away by how generous (& delicious) the antipasti portions were. We tried a bottle of their white wine, too, & it was very good. The breakfast was a notch above what you typically find in Italy with freshly-made scrambled eggs & bacon, hot croissants, meats, cheeses & a giant bowl of fruit. We could walk into downtown in about 10-15 minutes, you can walk to most entrances of the Pompei ruins too. After visiting Pompei we drove to Positano for lunch (less than 1 hour away) & we also visited Naples, also less than 1 hour away. I rarely find a hotel flawless, but Bosco De'Medici deserves this -- especially Antonio, he was the epitome of kind, efficient & genuinely hospitable.…
A beautiful little gated hotel, restaurant and winery. I think this is one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in. Such care taken with the rooms and grounds. The pool was a real oasis. Beautifully kept. The staff were quiet and helpful. We were served a wonderful breakfast on our little terrace in front of our room. The facilities aren’t super top end stylish but more than adequate and felt Italian and real. The restaurant was good and service really good. A broader menu would be nice as vegan options limited. Wine delicious!! I didn’t do the wine tour. Location is easy walk to the centre of Pompeii and it’s quiet location worth this walk. The area of Pompeii is a little run down and driving in the vicinity a little scary! I strongly recommend this hotel.
A creta report away from the hustle and bustle. Not far from town - 10 min walk. Lovely setting with gardens, pool, farm nearby etc. Breakfast is room at first I thought wouldn't be great but it was well done, food hot and decent variety. Pool surrounded by sun loungers in a lovely gardens were stunning. Rooms were OK, but need some more windows and bathrooms decent but in need of updating. Nidia at reception was great and helped us solve a problem easily. A relaxing retreat.
We spent a week here with our two young kids and had a great time relaxing by the pool with a magnificent view of Mount Vesuvius. Large sized rooms and availability of baby cots. Their restaurant offers great quality meals and a good variety of their own wines. They also have a small farm with some animals for the children and offer horseback riding at the horse club. Best of all though was the friendly staff all round, from the reception to the gardeners!
