Such a beautiful location and hotel. It feels like you've stepped into an Italian estate. The staff were amazing, the food - delicious. Our room was perfect with a comfortable mattress... but when will Italy realize we need better pillows. lol... What it's NOT, is close to the action of downtown Sorrento. For what we were doing, it was perfection. But when I got back to Sorrento, I'll stay within walking distance to the shopping and piers.

This was our first stay in Italy. The staff at this motel are the super stars! They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. A shuttle is provided for trips into central Sorrento. Again, the staff were amazing, even transporting us to the train station on our departure. The rooms are basic - with everything you need including self-adjusting air con, a safe, and even a boudoir in the bathroom! Breakfasts consist of bacon, eggs, a range of cereals, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, pastries, tarts, toast… with staff available to serve and ensure you are well catered for. Restaurant evening meals are simple yet satisfying after a busy day. While we found the service can be a little slow when the restaurant is full, the minimal staff work incredibly hard! Then there’s the delightful and well-kept pool. Special thanks go to Fillepo, Giuseppe, the epic little waiter, and the man we called a Robert De Niro look-a-like! You will fall inlove with this place if you visit!

The hotel was great. The pool was lovely but quite cool. We enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was exceptional with so much choice of home made pastries and cakes. The only downside was the shuttle which only runs very limited times of the day, so you need to plan you days out carefully as taxis are an extortionate price, due the location on the top of a very very steep cliff, that's impossible to walk up.

Just stayed here with my 17 year-old daughter for 4 nights. We only booked the week before so were lucky to find somewhere to stay in Sorrento in July! What a gem this hotel is. It’s a small hotel, very Italian and the staff are wonderful. Our room was lovely, very spacious and clean. It had a huge window looking out to sea and a balcony too. Air con was brilliant and much needed with the heatwave currently. The hotel has a free, regular bus into Sorrento which only takes ten minutes and it runs until late at night. The pool is beautiful and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was amazing. So much choice and as much as you want. We were B&B but we did eat in the hotel restaurant on two evenings and the food was superb. We cannot wait to go back!!

I stayed in this hotel for a week and I loved it. Great location and the room was clean and tidy. What made this holiday even more special was the staff. Especially the manager Raffaele was incredible, so professional, and friendly and he always checked if everything was ok. I couldn't have asked for more. I will definitely stay here again and I hope to see Raffaele again!

Our tour group stayed two nights at this hotel. I stayed in room 205 which still uses a real metal key instead of a key card to open the door. Room had a view of the ocean. There was an unstocked mini-fridge under the desk. A small safe was located in the closet. The bathroom didn’t have a tub but a shower stall. I found it cramped in the shower stall. Bathroom has a bidet next to the toilet. The free wi-fi was easy to connect and fast enough for my needs. Breakfast buffet in the hotel dining room was typical of Italian hotels.

I stayed her one night with the group tour. My room was 201. The room was clean and overlooked the back hill. Quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was good. At night we asked for a bottle of water and were charged 1 euro. I thought that odd, since most hotels offer complimentary water.

Family-owned and operated, this hotel offers the comfort of home and the luxury of a picture-perfect view of the Campagnia coast and the majestic Vesuvius from our 3rd floor room balcony. At night the Golfo de Napoli reflects a million lights from the shore, rivaling the stars above. The view is so gorgeous you’ll want to stay in, order room service and drink up the glory of nature. The menu is small but the cooking is masterful. Prices range from €9 (Omelette, vegetable soup) to €16 (Scialiatelli with shrimps and zucchini). Try the Risotto with Mushrooms or Scallopina (pork) Sorrentino, both €14 and delightful. Vino is their private label. A hotel can look great but be unwelcoming depending on its staff. Johanna Park Hotel Sorrento has a warm crew led by front office chief (manager?) Giuseppe, whose knowledge of the area makes him an ace troubleshooter and resource provider. Shuttle service to airport at 3 am for a 6:30 Sunday flight? Si! Document needs correction from town? He’ll zigzag down on his scooter for you, va bene. Try not to be mesmerized by his sunburst eyes. The staff is lean but efficient plus. Dino brings dinner while humming, Umberto with a flying kiss - rumor has it he’s a co-owner. Housekeepers Luisa and Caterina adhere to strict safety standards. Lucky to discover a hidden gem in this spot of paradise.

The hotel is out of the way from the town but had a shuttle service. This does mean that if your train or bus arrives in to Sorrento outside of the nominated times it is a €35 euro taxi. The location however is great and has some very commanding views of the Gulf of Napoli especially if you are facing over the front of the hotel. Why 3 stars? The hotel seems to work with tour operators which start very early, with the very thin walls it sounds like the neighbours are in your room and you struggle to get a decent nights sleep which is rare for me as a very deep sleeper. It also didn’t help that the bed springs in places were feeling like they were poking you in the leg or back unless you strategically positioned yourself on the bed, which doesn’t help either party when there’s two of you trying to do the same. As others have commented the staff are incredibly helpful and I feel slightly harsh for leaving this review but seeing as a hotel is there primarily to recharge and get going for the next day - this hotel fell short of this and considering the price of the room you would expect at least this. As a heads up - this hotel doesn’t offer and tea or coffee making facilities in the room but you can pay for drinks downstairs.
