This little hotel although hard to find and access is in a great position right at the edge of the Old Town. It took us 10 minutes standing in the street in intermittent rain to gain access to the building. After ringing the bell for 10 minutes with no one responding it was by sheer luck that a youmg couple also staying there came along with a key. Once inside and up two flights of stairs I asked the recptionist who was busy chatting on the phone whether she had heard us ringing, she said Yes where are your passports. And that was it!! The room as clean and the bed comfortable that's all I can say. Not recommended.
. The entrance is not easy to find when driving the narrow mainly pedestrian streets in the old town. The hostal is accessed only by alerting reception. There are steps and a lift to the first floor. If you have a 2nd floor room no lift access. It was clean and minimal. Our room had no view but ablanked out window. Cheap but very centrally placed for bars etc.
Great location in central Pamplona one street off Plaza del Castillo, close to sights and good dining. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful. Simple, clean and comfortable rooms. I would stay there again
This hostel represents decent value for money: on one hand it’s an excellent location right in the thick of things. On the other hand the room was very small with a tiny shower. Cleanliness was problematic: the floor was covered in hairs and there was a long hair on the sheet. The rooms must have been sprayed with some kind of deodorant which kind of gave off a general scent of old man. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
Stayed here for three nights. Very basic, but that's OK as the rooms were cheap. Parking is a different matter. We rode here on motorcycles and found you can't actually get to the hotel by vehicle. You have to park under the square and walk. It's not far but motorcycles cost the same as cars. 13 euros a night. Access to the hotel is a card entry system and a couple of flights of stairs leads you up to a reception area. This is only manned 2 - 10pm Staff are friendly and very helpful . The rooms are on the small side, but are clean . No view to speak of just windows on the building next door. We had to keep the curtain closed. Plus side there was a very good air conditioning system in the room and bathroom was clean. Again the bathroom needed some work with shower head not staying in place and the cubicle was very small. You can get coffee and tea from a machine in the reception area ,but this is barely drinkable. No other facilities to buy water or cold drinks, so buy these before you go back to your room. There is a little shop out the main door to the right that sells a lot of drinks and is open quite late. Food wise is very much bar food in all the cafes in the square with a couple of exceptions. Look outside the square for the better restaurants.…
