We spent 3 nights at the Hotel Europa and couldn’t have asked for anything better. The staff is very attentive to the guests. We were in Room 308 which has a small balcony. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very roomy also. They pay attention to details at this hotel and it shows. There was a buffet breakfast available and it has everything, including scrambled eggs and bacon, which we rarely find. A great choice in Pamplona!

The hotel entry looks really fancy for a small hotel, it was very nice. We stayed here just for one night, we got a very nice greeting in the reception, help to store our bags until we got a room, as we were a bit early. The room on the third floor was really nice, and the bathroom was super impressive with all marble tiles and a big bath/shower. Small bottles of shampoo and shower gel was very appreciated as I forgot mine at home. Only negative thing is that the room doors are paperthin! You hear absolutely everything trough the door. This might be the reason for need of earplugs. Location is really good next to the plaza del Castillo, with a lot of restaurants and cafes and more to be found on the backstreets.

The Europa Hotel is a lovely, clean and conveniently located small hotel in Pamplona. Located just steps from the Placa del Castillo, it is served by a fine restaurant frequented by locals and tourists alike. We know this only by reputation since we did not dine at the hotel. The only feature detracting from the appeal of this facility is that a long and steep flight of stairs must be scaled with luggage before the desk is found. There is an elevator to the rooms. This hotel is very reasonably priced by any standard.

The hotel is situated very close to the main square, so central to everything. Staff were polite and helpful. Rooms were clean, had all the facilities needed, even kettle and fridge. The breakfast was more than adequate served with linen napkins and beautiful cutlery. Fresh fruit, wonderful crusty bread, fresh fruit juice and even scrambled eggs and bacon. Would certainly reccomend.

Bit of a delay in posting the first of quite a few reviews of our stays along the Camino back in June/July. First night spent in a hotel along Camino Route was in Pamplona which we really liked. The hotel’s location was good but I didn’t really warm to this place much, partly due to the chilly welcome but mostly due to the accommodation itself. I think the room looked much better in the photos than it did in reality. It smelt too strongly of chemical room fresheners which I unplugged immediately and you couldn’t open the window to the balcony. Our bed was fine, but the room felt cold and uninviting, a bit dated and overpriced. Our friend’s room for single occupancy was like a cell. They did however, have a kettle for tea/coffee which we appreciated. Apparently the food is gorgeous at the restaurant, but we didn’t want to eat so late and left before breakfast the next morning so cannot comment.
