Let's start with the positive aspects. The room, in a pensìon, was 30mn walk away from the city center and was easy to find. The check in has been made through what's app and a keybox, although we arrived during reception opening hours. The neighborhood felt safe and has a couple stores around. We paid 40 euros a night, which felt like a deal considering that we booked last minute. The beds were comfortable. Now onto the negative aspects. We have stayed to a wide range of pensions across different cities in Spain, most often in similar price ranges, and have been underwhelmed by this one. The flat is made of 4 rooms, with a shared bathroom and a kitchen. The sound insulation is terrible and we have been waken up by guests or staff on multiple occasions, day and night. The whole flat felt dated, just like the shower (no pressure). Very limited use of the kitchen, no instructions given (check in, check out, etc), no shower gel, no coffee machine, no AC (which can be a big problem given the temperatures in the summer)... I probably wouldn't come again. Below is the TV, probably about 15 inches..

The initial communication was ok but as I was arriving out of hours there would be no-one to meet me so I got a series of WhatsApp messages which is fair enough. I found the office and the lock up box housing my keys. I was instructed to go to Stair 2 but not told where I would find stair 2. After walking round the block twice and finding Stairs 1,3,4,5,6 & 7, I ended up trying every door until I found one that unlocked. It was numbered "34". So y instructions were then to go to floor 5 & my room will be on the left. So I did this and after trying my 2 keys, some guy opened the door and was not happy that at 0100hrs a strange Englishman was trying to get into his apartment! After some messages with the WhatsApp people, who were not happy because it was late (tell me about it, I'm tired and I need to sleep), i go up a DIFFERENT lift and eventually find my tiny room. It must have been 200 degrees in there, you could have cooked a chicken in it. There was NO fan and NO air-conditioning!! I was melting! I decided to have a shower to cool down and the ONLY towline there was a SMALL hand towel. All in all,HORRIBLE!!!

The building is going through renovation work, not great to be on a building site, the inside was completely ripped off. We arrived within opening hour but the office was close so we had to call and wait for someone to take us the keys. The room is in a shared flat with no use of the kitchen. 30 min walk from the city centre. No shower gel provided, no air con, no tea or coffee facilities.

Roms are located in several apartment blocks in Avenida Pio XII. Very quiet location. Friendly staff. I stayed in a shared apartment and my room was "en suite" with private bathroom and closed from the rest of the house (so you can have the privacy of a self contained room). Excelent location, many restaurants nearby. Near the Clinica Universitaria de Navarra. Close to the historical center with good accessibility both by public transport or taxi. On the downside, the room was too hot (stayed in April). There was no air conditioning and the room had central heating without possibility to regulate the temperature.

We stayed two nights and we were thoroughly impressed with this place. We had our little dog with us, so as soon as I booked the room - I contacted the Olga pension to let them know about it. They were so helpful - immediately said that they would prepare a room with a little balcony for our dog and offered reassured us that we would have a double bed instead of two singles. Finding the place was easy (I really can't understand how some people said that it was hard to find it). The guy at the reception spoke good English and was very helpful giving us maps and recommendations! The room itself was really pretty and all very clean and tidy! We had a shared bathroom which was always clean and had a great shower! Their parking space is underneath the building in a very secure location (although is not very cheap - 10euros/day) - all very convenient! The Pension is very close to a Japanese style park - which is really nice and even has an outdoors communal gym! There are plenty of nice and cheap places to eat close-by! I have to agree with the comments about the noise coming from the roads opposite the building - it is a bit noisy but it is not unbearable! We had the door to the balcony open to get the breeze but we needed ear plugs - but not a major problem for us! We could use their kitchen with is well equipped! Having the ability to cook while on holidays is a blessing! In addition, we could buy breakfast stuff and just store without any problems. Also, they let us use the washing machine without any extra-cost, and as we had a little balcony, we could dry our clothes too (they provide a little rack for your washing). We had our push bikes with us so we could reach the town centre within 10 min (tops). We left the city the day before the bull running (as we hate everything about this tradition) - but we still got to see the city in full party mode (it seemed that it is a major destination for Australian teenagers). Anyway, Pension Olga (or Alojamientos Olga) was fantastic and I simply cannot believe how little they charged us for such a great place. I would not stay anywhere else in Pamplona.
