This hostel is located at a walkable distance to the Center (10-15” walk) with grocery markets, restaurants, coffee shops, bakery nearby. Each room has a small refrigerator and small bathroom with a tiny shower enclosure (can barely move around in it). Room is clean and serviced every day. The hostel has a small dining area with microwave and electric kettle for hot water. Highly recommend for anyone who travel on budget.

Great location just set back from the Gran Via, hotel is spacious and has a common room with some basic kitchen items, but the bedrooms are in need of some updating. The bed was tired and the room needs a paint, all clean and tidy. Bathrooms in good condition

All we needed was a room to sleep. And this is what Hostal Pizarro offers. We arrived late night and the staff had arranged for us to pick up the key-card in a coded safe on the oustside with e thorough guide on how to acces the building. Our room was clean and consitet of a small bed room and our own private bathroom. In the bathroom there was also a fridge. So nothing impressive, but a good cheap hotel, with a good location, where we found a nice bed to sleep in.

Check-in and check-out were smooth, the location is convenient; close to shops, cafes and metro. It is also a ten minute walk away from bars, clubs but not too close so we could get a good sleep after a night about town.

I went to hostal pizarro, during my 4 day stay in Madrid, and honestly it was the nicest stay, the room was well air conditioned; very clean, especially the bathroom! We even had a little fridge in our room to store small items of food and drink. Apart from our room, there was also a living room for all the guests on our floor, which had a Tv, computer area all very nice. The gentleman at the reception was VERY welcoming, helped with luggage, showed all the attractions nearby along with restaurants. The area itself is very close to the city centre, and managed to walk to most attractions, the nearest metro station is literally 5 minute walk from the hostal which is great especially after a long day trekking around! Altogether my experience at hostal pizarro was amazing and I would defiantly come back! Thanking you for having Us! Tanya

Can’t speak highly enough of this beautiful little hotel in a great central location. The host is always on hand to help and his knowledge of the area is great and really appreciated this when checking in. Room is well kept, clean and all that is needed for a stay in Madrid

I liked the hotel. The location is excellent. The rooms are clean. I would like to say thanks to the front desk manager Christian, a very nice young man who helped us with everything. On the first day while moving from the airport to our hotel, we were robbed in subway. Christian provided an escort to a police office and tried to help us. He also arranged my bf’s visit to a barbershop, found a swimming pool for us, answered all our questions, was always willing to assist. An invaluable employee for this hotel! Many thanks to Christian for everything.

I would advise people to be wary of booking this place if they are arriving in the evening. My wife and I booked a room at the Hostal Pizarro after. There was a delay at the airport and we arrived an hour later than expected, just after ten o-clock. The place was closed and there was no-one at reception. The front door was closed and there was no-one manning reception available to open the door. There was a page pinned to the door with a list of guests who were to ring a telephone number in order to get in. We called this number several times but unfortunately no-one answered the telephone. The result was that we had to walk the streets of Madrid at night looking for somewhere to stay. We were pulling our suitcases behind us, and we were worried for our safety. This place does not have adequate reception facilities, This we have discovered to our cost.

If you want to experience the Malazaña experience for a very affordable price, this is a great place. I was there for World Pride in Madrid and every single place was booked. I found this place and was skeptic about it, but it was actually great. The rooms are in decent shape and the service is ok, maybe they could be friendlier. I ended up going back for NYE.

Room extremely basic but offering a great location. Bathroom a bit old and very basic. we found difficult to get some sleep since we could hear the flush from the room next to our. There was a window in our room but the view wasn't very appaling since it opens on a tiny patio with absolutely no light. Anyway the hostal is very near of many touristic places that we could reach walking. Safe place.
