Pension Austria cancelled the reservation, but they charged of my bank account anyway. Unfortunately they didn't show the same hurry to solve the problem - still no response from their side so Booking had to take over the debt. Be careful when booking directly with them.
The room in the hotel was basic, the location and the price were fine. However, while I was there, I had a serious injury to my lower back. This meant I struggled with standing, walking and was clearly in a lot of pain (a 55 year old man crying). I genuinely hope that the woman on the desk never has the same problem in a country where she cannot speak the language and does not know how to get medical help. I genuinely hope the woman never has a receptionist who tells her that they are 'too busy to help because a lot of people are arriving today and they have a lot of paperwork to do'. I genuinely hope that the woman has a receptionist, who instead of saying that they don't know what to do because it has never happened before, uses her common sense and finds out how to get help by e.g. asking their neighbours or by phoning their own doctor. The woman on reception at this hotel could not get me out of the hotel fast enough. Thoroughly disgusted.…
Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff. However, paper-thin walls and water pipes noise in the middle of the night. Not enough plugs in the room. Shower gel sachets were not replaced. Very steep steps to access rooms.
This hotel is very basic with no frills but it is very close to the old centre and a great price to stay this close to the action. They have access to a private car park so you can leave your car once you get there and don't bother using it until you're ready to leave. As a plumber it always amazes me that cheap hotels don't maintain their showers and basins, they are the most important part of someone's stay.... Along with a comfy bed. The shower head was of poor quality and did not stay in the upright position and the basin tap was loose. Hopefully the hotel will remedy these problems and improve the quality of their clients stay. The bed was comfy for me, something that is very personal and may not suit other people. The staff are very friendly and very willing to give advice and help you find local points of interest. If you're looking for a central hotel to use as a base then this is it.…
The place was an awesome combination of price and location. The room I stayed in was small and charming, it had a nice balcony on the street leading up to Alhambra and old Spanish tiled flooring. The best wasn't comfortable at all, but it was clean. I only stayed for the one night but it was definitely worth it for the price you pay.
