The hotel was a beautiful old mansion and the public areas and restaurants were lovely and dressed for Christmas. Breakfast was okay but in a basement room with no decoration, more like a conference room. The location was very good with easy access to all parts of the old city. The staff were professional. Enjoyed our stay in Granada. There was no bar in the hotel but adjacent was a cafe bar Lorca (the poet) which was part of the hotel building was good and had friendly staff and good tapas. On arrival we went to our rooms (2 doubles) and they were dark and had 3 beds in a small room. Having booked in July for Christmas I expected a better room, I went to reception and our rooms were changed to larger better rooms. Parking is difficult, very steep entrance and not easy access. You must request your parking at reception, you can park your car for 15 minutes in the road next to the hotel, so can unload luggage; you then you are accompanied by a member of staff to the under ground parking. Stayed in: Double or Twin Room…
This is an old hotel very conveniently located in centre of Granada. The cathedral is very close and there are many shops, bars and restaurants close to the hotel. The lobby, is very attractive with a small fountain and nice tiles The single room was very small but it was ok for me as i spent so much time outside exploring Granada. However, it was clean and i slept well. Breakfast was in a basement room. The choice of food was adequate although i found the room a bit gloomy as it had no windows. If you are looking for a mid range hotel with character then this hotel is a good choice.
We do appreciate the option for vegan food and the friendly service but the vegan burger should not be on the menu. We enjoy flavour and spices as much as meat eaters and this vegan food was way below what is acceptable in a restaurant. Thank you for trying but please stop serving it. The service was excellent and lovely place, so this review has only to do with the quality and taste of the vegan burger.
An old hotel with history and stylish lobby. On the plus side, it also has a convenient central location and service-oriented personnel. But the place has many minuses and, to me, they are stronger than the pluses. These are – crummy rooms and bathrooms, lack of cleanness, poor sound isolation, short beds, boring breakfasts. I wouldn’t stay in this hotel again.
We had a lovely stay here. The staff were all really friendly, one helped us grab last minute tickets to the Alhambra, which we were so grateful for. The location is perfect, close to the cathedral and spoilt for choice with restaurants. The décor in our room really was old fashioned but we loved it. Beds are comfy and we were on the first floor with a room facing the street but did not have any issues with noise. There is so much to see and do in Granada, it is a beautifully friendly city with fantastic tapas.
