This was a huge disappointment DO NOT BELIEVE THE PICTURES! Though the bed was very comfortable (the highlight of the hotel), it felt like we were stuck in an 80’s TV series... this hotel needs a serious do over and staff with training that makes you feel welcome and want to spend time here, especially now in winter when it is cold... The breakfast, oh dear, I thought I was back in a travelodge in the UK, pre 2005.... never will we ever stay in a Barcelo again... the bed was good though....

I was staying with my partner in this hotel for one night. The hotel was almost empty, check in was OK but the staff was not too friendly. Even thought the hotel was almost empty, it seems that they gave us the worst room with no daylight at all. There was just a very small window to a courtyard. The courtyard itself was totally dark either. I wonder how the pictures on the profile of this room category could be taken but it was definitely far away from the reality. The pool facilities were nice but not too big, unfotunately only a few sunbeds which were occupied all the time. There would be enough space for more. Due to covid all bars and coffee bars were closed in the morning so it was not possible to have a coffee after waking up. The prices of the rooftop bar were average, however the price of a cortatdo coffee (espresso with a little milk) was 3 euros and more than double the price than you normally pay outside. The coffee really tasted awful.

Dear Michael, Thank you for your visit tour Barcelo Carmen Granada and for sharing your constructive critics on your stay, your comments are crucial to keep on enhancing our guests’ experience among us. We have taken good note of your remark on the room we accommodated you in and would like to take the opportunity to inform you that rooms are being assigned in accordance with the room type selected and paid for upon reservation, moreover, double rooms are advertised on booking.com as having an Inner courtyard view. For a future occasion we strongly recommend you check the room categories description to make sure that you book the room type and category that best meets your holiday needs and wishes. Furthermore, we regret your disappointment with the quality of the coffee, and although this is one of our guests’ most positively commented service on Booking, for a future occasion please do not hesitate to voice your concerns, our staff will make sure you are served the coffee to your liking. Thank you again for the courtesy of your time, we look forward to serving you again and exceed your expectations on a future occasion. Kindest Regards, Customer Experience Barceló Hotel Group

This hotel doesn’t deserve 4 stars. Rooms are basic at best. Beds were squeaky (we had 2 rooms, 4 nights) and not comfortable. Very disappointed overall as we had booked 2 rooms and couldn’t cancel. The rooftop is charming although the pool is tiny and lacks maintenance (broken ramps) and milky water. Not enough lounge chairs. And you are kicked out by 8 pm for them to set up the restaurant area. NOT convenient for guests at all.

Dear guest, First and foremost we would like to thank you for your visit and for sharing your comments on your stay at our hotel, your feedback is essential to our continuous efforts to ensure that all guests fully enjoy their experiences whilst staying among us. We have taken good note of your remarks on the beds and deeply regret reading that you did not enjoy of satisfying nights’ sleep since this is a basic for any hotel therefore and this is why all rooms assigned to new arrivals are being double checked to ensure that everything is spotless and fully operational at all times, for a future occasion, please do not hesitate to voice your concerns, the team will be swift in addressing any issue you may have. The rooftop pool is constantly being supervised and cleaned daily, the water is being also filtered with chlorine throughout the day, we can only assume that there may have been some solar cream in the water at a specific moment when you visited the pool and apologize for any inconvenient this may have caused. Lastly, we regret your disappointment for the rooftop pool being closed at 20pm to allow for the a la carte restaurant to open and will make sure to share your comments with the management team for information and revision. Thank you again for your visit and constructive critics, we hope that you had a safe journey back home and look forward to the opportunity of recovering your trust on a future occasion if you gave us that chance. Kindest Regards, Customer Experience Barceló Hotel Group
