Wonderful hotel, great value for money, superb staff; highly recommended. I really cannot think of any faults whatsoever! Clean, funky, marvellous roof terrace and pool. I would certainly use this hotel again, without hesitation.
Nice hotel located in the heart of Granada . The Staff were great , helpful, informative and professional . The room was large very clean and well appointed with all the necessary amenities, the supplied breakfast exceeded our expectations and was very good , overall a great experience which unfortunately was cut short by the coronavirus and spain shutting down and the urgent requirement to return home but gives us an excuse to return in the future
The pros Excellent location Amazing breakfast buffet and breakfast available from 7am until 11am Comfortable bed Good staff (the breakfast staff were excellent) Clean rooms The cons Room ridciously hot at night, when asked about air conditioning they said it's not turned on as it's not hot enough. Therefore 3 nights uncomfortable sleep due to heat. Altho windows are double glazed, it is still quite noisy all night. Tip Alhambra is a 20 minute walk from hotel, advise to get there early to avoid the 1000s of chinese.
Location is very central but all in all, the hotel has been designed to a pretty cheap standard with bad sound insulation - everything makes a noise, and is done to the bare minimum. The rooms are as spartan as can be and the main road is VERY near. Pictures imply a large roof terrace and a luxurious pool - not the case. The gym is not a gym it is a pair of running machines just off the hotel lobby. We had a slight battle to get our room changed to one with the double bed we asked for and moved away from being right on Gran Via. On a plus note the staff really are extremely helpful and friendly and sweet, the hotel just isn’t what it sells itself as. Clean and convenient but nothing more
Visited with wife and two children (7 and 4). The hotel is very clean and modern with new quirky funky designs. You can visit the 6th floor for breathtaking views of the city. This is where the pool is located which is very tiny. Ideal for sun worshippers who want a quick dip to cool off between tanning sessions In the summer I guess. Freezing water and not open in winter. Room: we had a suite, very spacious, huge comfy bed, nice bathroom with huge shower and also a separate lounge area. The separate room was great to chill but was needed as the shower has a screen that was opposite the bedroom meaning you was in full view of anyone in the bedroom. This is ok if you're a couple but we had to get the kids to go in the lounge area when showering. The other negative was I tried to sleep in the lounge area which had a sofa that converted into a bed. The sofa bed isn't very comfortable and you are constantly disturbed by the noise outside as it overlooked the main road. Cars beeping all night and drunken party goers signing etc. Make sure you ask for a bedroom that doesn't overlook the main road otherwise you'll have a tough time getting any decent rest. Our main bedroom didn't overlook the main road so we were ok. Also the bathroom doesn't have extractors so you'll have to leave the bathroom door open after showering and I was advised by staff to leave a window open. I can imagine this being problematic in the summer with bugs coming in etc. There was a safe in the room however it wasn't nailed in place so yes it locked my passports away but was a loose small box which you could walk away with. They are the only negatives other than that the room was great, great wifi, plenty of plug sockets for devices and a great coffee machine. Staff: very friendly and couldn't do enough for you in particular Javier who made our stay better in anyway he could. Location: Now this is what makes me give this hotel a 4 star review instead of 3. Approx 25 mins away from the nice small not hectic airport (25-30 eur cab fair) you will be slap bang in the city centre. Scores of restaurants designer brand shops very cosmopolitan feel. A stone throw away from the stunning Cathedral, cross the road and up the side street you will be in Albaicin the old moorish quarter where you won't feel like you're in Spain at all. Albaicin has many Arabic halal eateries and lovely morrocan tea houses and sooks. You will feel like you're in Morroco but without the in your face hard sell. Keep walking up the hills and you will come across random tavernas and bars with Spanish guitars being played at every corner. You will eventually reach the famous lookout point called Saint Nicholas square where you will have breath taking views of the Alhambra, the whole city below it and the Siera Nevada snow capped mountains. That whole walk was a brilliant adventure which you must do. When you visit the Alhambra be warned that it is a very steep hill, we took a cab which only cost 6eur. If you have kids a great place to visit is the Science park 6eur in cab. You will have so much fun as a family but account for plenty of time as you will spend hours there. Finally for the shoppers among you, you will have plenty of great shops next to you already (Zara,Mango,HnM etc) however be sure to visit the Nevada Shopping Mall 8eur cab ride. Basically a Spanish Trafford centre. Overall: great hotel, fantastic small City, lovely people, a must visit. This hotel will help you maximise your stay and experience due it's comfort, cleanliness, friendly staff and above all the location.…
