Hello Arie / Desiree - Just as I settled down to write this report, I see that Facebook has once again changed how things appear so . . . I am writing directly to you so you can post this on your site. Having been to the glorious islands of the Philippines four times, my observations and experiences cause me to want to share my findings and feelings. To begin with, the people of the Philippines are fabulous. But . . . the point I wish to make is . . . There's NO PLACE LIKE HOME. At both Magic properties, you arrive as a valued guest and leave as treasured family. Both Magic Island and Magic Oceans go above and beyond in how their guests are treated, respected, guided and entertained. We always feel "at home" and comfortable throughout every aspect of our trip. …
we arrived here after 6 nights in magic island this resort is newer, bigger but no less friendly .we had bungalow number 1 which looked to the sea inside quite a bit bigger than magic island especially the bathroom. lovely pool again bigger than before. diving here was excellent as there were less dive boats from other resorts a couple of days the boats had to be moved to the other side of the island to escape srong winds but this wasn't an issue we were transported around to them in a bugy and if you were staying all day lunch was brought down after the 2 morning dives. the staff here were also pleasant knew everyones name after the first day and were only to happy to help with allergies etc. we went on a excursion with two german girls we got friendly with this was run by the…
Magic Oceans is a nice resort, people are very friendly. The prices for diving however, are extremely high. Before going to the resort, I did some diving in Malapascua, Moalboal, Coron & El Nido (all Philippines). Prices for each (boat) dive were 1000-1300 pesos, INCLUDING rental of diving equipment (1 guide for 2-3 people). In Moalboal, I only payed 750p for a guided shoredive. In the resort, me and 10 other friends took a 15-dive package. Even after that package, a single dive was 1600 peso (1 guide for 5-6 people). A house-reef dive without guide was 750p (so only for air). Those prices were a little expensive in my opinion, but what really disturbed me is that the gear rental wasn't included yet: they charged an extra 1400/day. ==> everywhere in the Philippines, gear is…
Wonderful resort! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Very personal service. Arrived in the afternoon and by the next morning, the staff already knew everyone by name. Diving was excellent (saw a whale shark!) and the guides were great to point out all the little things that most of us miss.
very nice resort, friendly accommodating staff. Nice room with fridge and mini bar, aircon, clean. large dive shop with great guides that can find critters. pool front rooms. nice layout with bar and dinning room plent of receptacles in room for charging , charging area in dive shop
I recently returned from a wonderful dive trip at Magic Oceans. The staff was excellent, extremely friendly, and attentive. The management was easy to access and very friendly as well. Rooms we clean and everything was pretty much brand new. Dive sites we excellent, even had a whale shark encounter and a night dive to watch the mandarins dance. Dive boat was very comfortable, the Dive gear storage/cleaning faculties were very roomy and nice, and the dive staff was very knowledgeable and eager to find cool stuff to look at!
We stayed for 10 days at the Resort Including 7 dive days. I would absolutely recommend it. The dive facilities and dive sites are world class our dive guide Rowena had eyes like an eagle and found the most amazing critters for us to photograph . The food was always fresh and tasty. We had stayed at the sister Resort Magic Island before and couldn't wait for this one to open. The staff is very helpful and nothing is ever too much. Samantha is the dive centre manager and everything there runs smoothly. The resort itself is very well appointed. has a great swimming pool and lovely gardens. I had some problems with my camera housing closure from a previous dive trip and there Eef the Resort manager and part owner used his magic and fixed it all up for me so my diving and…
We just returned from a great holiday at Magic Oceans. We have been at Magic Island 3 times and that is why we wanted to check out the new resort. It is a very long trip from Holland but it is worth it. The resort is beautiful. Nice big bungalows, nice pool and a great bar and restaurant. The staff overall is very nice and helpfull. Nothing is too much. The dive center is excellent run by Samatha who is not only a great manager but also a lovely caring person. The diving is effortless your stuff is being brought on hte boat you just have to clim on board and go diving. The diving itself it excellent, saw lots of stuff despite low visibilty due to El Nino. The daytrips on the Island are fun and well organised. So we can recommend it to anybody
We highly recommend Magic Ocean Dive Resort, Philippines. My husband I stayed for 1 week at Magic Ocean and 1 week at sister resort, Magic Island. This review focuses on Magic Ocean and our experience there. We have been traveling to dive resorts for the past 18 years, but this was our first trip to the Philippines. During our stay at Magic Ocean, I experienced a case of ‘Skin Bends’. I had never seen it before and thought I was having a reaction to food. Eef, the resort manager, and Samantha, the dive manager, recognized the rash right away as potentially nitrogen-related. They immediately contacted DAN and had me on Oxygen quickly. The symptoms subsided within an hour. Eef contacted DAN with updates and the next day DAN told us they recommended I be seen by the DAN…
I had a wonderful six night stay here in February. I travelled by myself as my husband could not get the time off work. I would particularly recommend it for sociable solo divers as everybody is so nice and friendly. The owners , a charming couple from the Netherlands plus the resort manager and the dive manager all eat " family style" with the guests. As a solo traveller I felt incredibly welcomed and included at all times. The food itself at Magic Oceans was exquisite, so much better than many Philippine dive resorts when the meals can be very fatty and sugary and salty. The resort itself is stunningly beautiful with a wonderful pool surrounded by colorful flower beds. The finish throughout and in the beautiful spacious bungalows is absolutely first class. The diving is, I…
