We had an amazing dive with Magic Ocean! Our divemaster was great. On the dive sites is a lot to see, lots of macrolife and corals! It was amazing! I would definitely dive again with them. Also the boat was almost new and the equipment is in perfect condition. So, you are in good hands with Magic Ocean!
I had an awesome time diving with magic ocean. Service was very good, staff was all helpful, Boat looks very new and all boat crews was very helpful as well. Equipment are in great condition and divesite is superb. Highly recommended if you go to Anda. Thank you jessica and Eef.
Sister to magic island same format but with more space only open 18 months ,went in low season so for main part was only guest they could have not made my stay more special, no short cuts meals to order, deserts made in heaven. Diving out of this world walls muck macro ,found it hard to leave
This is the new sibling of Magic Island, and the successful formulae has been copied across. The Service is great, the beer is cold, the fellow guests (a lot like us had come from Magic Island) were interesting and social. We think (controversially) that the diving is better here than Magic Island (less crowded and more to see), the guide quality is excellent (as it was in Magic Island). The in-house lectures around the bar were a definite plus. We just had a great time all round.
This was the second of two diving resorts our group visited. The first place was so top notch it was hard not to compare Magic Oceans with it. The accommodations and grounds were very, very good. Eef was really helpful, funny and very accommodating. Jessica in the dive shop and Evelyn at the front desk were great. Our dive masters Herbert, Juan, Larry and Lee Ann were really good about finding amazing things for us to see and photograph. Magic Oceans is a fairly new resort and still have a few tweaks to work out but everyone appeared to be trying really hard and, given a little time, this place will rival any dive resort we've been to.
We stayed at the Magic Oceans dive resort for 6 days to earn our Open Water Diver license and it was just an amazing experience. First of all. The bungalows are amazing. They are spacious, well maintained and really clean. All in all the dive resport is very very beautiful and everything, from the garden, to the dive center to the bungalows is very modern and clean, even compared to western standards, which is not easy to do in tropical countries. The food was very good, slightly higher priced, but definitiely worth it. Jessice, our instructor was amazing too. She was very patient and took a lot of time to make sure we were comfortable and know our way around. hat The next thing we really really liked was the familiarity of the resort. Everyone knew each other and we shared…
Magic Oceans is a great resort. However, it is primarily tailored to hardcore divers and wealthy tourists. The excellent quality of the rooms, modern style, and affordability of the price per night for a bungalow defines a Magic Oceans stay. The staff is extremely knowable and friendly. The pool and grounds are clean and well maintained. BUT the cost of the amenities and facilities are much more expensive than other hotels in Bohol. For example, the motor bike rental price per day offered at Magic Oceans is almost double than other places nearby Anda. Pickup in Tagbilbaran and shuttle to the resort is $60. Lunch and Dinner at the restaurant is typically $20 to $30. So it might be advisable to find alternative services nearby the Resort during your stay to keep the overall…
With a group of 22 people (including a baby) we were staying at this resort. 8 out of 10 cottages had a garden view near the swimming pool, 2 out of 10 had an ocean view cottage. It was a shame that we were not together, but it was a 30 second walk to the rest of the group (the resort has 16 cottages in total I believe) Cottages were simple for me. It has a big bed, minibar and a bathroom. Bathroom had a showercurtain, simple shower head, toilet and a sink with mirror. In the cottages I would like to see a doormat, because the floor will get dirty especially if it rains. The cottages were clean and housekeeping came every day. The steps to enter your cottage where high, I don't know why but everywhere on the island the steps are high. But just so you know, I don't think a…
Lovely, modern, well kept up dive resort with spacious bungalows and a delightful pool area. Dive area well done with individual equipment baskets, hangers and pegs for gear as well as showers and adequate rinse tanks. Food EXCELLENT and special meal requests like vegetarian well taken care of. Staff very friendly and want to please guests. Special services like massage, pedicure and romantic dinners by pool were very nice. Two major areas of dive sites. West of resort: 5 meters deep there were mainly hard corals with walls going down to 25 meters with nice soft tree corals like those on Apo or Pescador Islands. East and northeast of resort, at 5 meters there were mainly hard corals, then a sandy plateau to about 12 meters, then a wall of soft corals again. Currents…
Diving at the Philippines is great. Beautiful reefs and a lot of macro life, especially at Cebu and Bohol. We stayed at the Magic resorts and we can highly recommend them. Comfortable accommodations, good food and friendly staff and dive guides. But that’s not all. When we had to delay our return home from Bohol, the manager and his assistants from Magic Oceans helped us in all possible ways. When we thanked him, he simply answered : “this is the way I wish to be treated in your situation”. So if you want to dive at Cebu or Bohol, go to the Magic resorts. Great holiday guaranteed!
