TripAdvisor gives a Certificate of Excellence to accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travelers.
We had a lovely stay. Beautiful property, friendly and welcoming staff and a beautiful part of the island. The menu is almost overwhelmingly long, but including many varieties of food all very well prepared. We happily recommend this property to other travellers.
Thank Chris K

Hi Chris. Thanks for the thumbs-up. I hope we see you again soon. Best wishes from all of us at Island View.
This place is a paradise. Probably the best hotel we have been in the Philippines. We only stayed for 4 days but we wish we could have stayed much longer.
The location is perfect, on a small, white sandy beach - that we basically had...More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for four days and we absolutely loved it. The sunsets here are spectacular. I wish we couldve gone diving in front of the hotel but we did snorkel from the (free) kayak with stunning corals and fish. One of...More

We unfortunately couldn't stay in the resort as far as we were late in booking but nevertheless had the chance to have lunch and dinner there. Feels like a little paradise with its private beach, staff is extremely friendy, food is very good, strongly recommend...More

Apologies for the delay in responding, I have just discovered your question on TripAdvisor. However, if you are thinking of staying with us in the future, I can offer the following information:
We have both Standard and Deluxe rooms. The rooms allow for two adults and one child, or two infants, if the existing bedding is used. The Deluxe Suites do have an additional Sofa-Bed. Children in excess of this will be require an extra bed for which there will be a reasonable charge. For six of you, I would recommend that you take three rooms, preferably the Deluxe Suites as these have a very large bathroom and a number of additional features.
We do not include breakfast with internet bookings as peoples breakfast requirements vary so much. Room prices vary according to season and increase during a number of peak times. You can check the prices at any time through TripAdvisor or Agoda.
We can arrange transport for transfers to the airport, the ferry terminal, and for general touring.
We are right on a beautiful beach, perfect for just relaxing or for snorkeling and beach-combing. We also have a large (20m) pool in a tropical garden setting.
We are located in Anda, which is the quiet and beautiful end of Bohol. The area is not focused on nightlife. People come here to relax and enjoy the beautiful natural and cultural environment. Those who want crowds and up-beat nightlife should go to Panglao on the western tip of Bohol.
There are places to eat in the local town and most of the resorts serve meals to non-guests. At Island View we have a wide-range of local, Asian, and international dishes. Meals and snacks can be served in our upstairs restaurant or at the Aninipot (fire-fly) beach-side Bar. In the evenings we play recorded jazz music in the Bar. There is no karaoke and no techno music at the resort, although these can be found in Anda township.
Lots of "must do" activities: If you only have two days I suggest you give one day to enjoying the water in the way you best enjoy (swimming, snorkeling, or we can arrange a diving expedition) and the second day we can arrange a tour to see the famous Chocolate Hills and a visit to the Tarsier (Bohol's tiny bug-eyed primate) Sanctuary, or you could just visit the local town and some of the close-by cultural sites.
If by "scooter" you mean jet-ski, no, we really don't like them because of the damage they do to the environment, but if you mean motor-cycle, yes we can arrange rental, although with only two days you are not leaving much time to do what is most popular here - relax by the sea.
Hope this helps.

The resort is about 98km from Tagbilaran which is the provincial capital and where the ferry terminal and airport are located. There is a beautiful coastal road to Anda where the resort is. The journey takes less than two hours and cost around 2,500 Pesos for a chauffeur driven car and maybe 3,500 Pesos for a large van. Public transport is also available but is slower and suitable for people who enjoy adrenaline surges.
If you arrive early in Tagbilaran, you could consider taking the interior road and visiting all the "must see" sights (Tarsier Sanctuary and Chocolate Hills) along the way. It is a much longer trip but will only cost a little more, and will leave you more time to relax upon arrival.
Ways to contact the resort can usually be found by doing an internet search for Island View Beachfront Resort.

Dear Heidi,
I am sorry I took so long to find your question. Typhoons occur every year in the Philippines, In the central Philippines these mostly occur during the second half, and especially the last quarter, of the calendar year.
It is unusual for Bohol to suffer directly from severe typhoons as they tend to strike the central or northern provinces and then travel in a north-westerly direction. However, air and sea traffic can be disrupted.
The large typhoon in November 2013 (Yolanda) stuck the island of Leyte to the north of Bohol where there was terrible damage and loss of life. Bohol was relatively unscathed, although some lives were lost. Anda township was not severely damaged. Most of Bohol receives power from Leyte and the transmission lines were damaged. This caused a black-out for many weeks.
Since then there have been a number of lesser typhoons impacting on Bohol, but damage has been limited.
I hope you made your planned trip and were not adversely affected by the aftermath of Yolanda.
