Toulouse is home to the Airbus and all its associated bits and pieces involved in developing and building very sophisticated airplanes. It is also in the heart of France, a pivotal historical city at the crossroads of a great nation. So you would expect it to be a bit of a class

This hotel is very "French" hotel and I liked it for the night I was there. The decorations are keep very authentic and the hotel itself is older and feels that way throughout. The staff was very friendly and the location is great. I have to admit that I usually stay at the

Dear Michael, Dear Client, We would like to thank you for taking the time to let your travel impressions about the Grand Hôtel de l'Opéra on Tripadvisor and are happy to read that you have appreciated your stay with us. Please be informed that we have 5 different room categories and that starting from the deluxe room, rooms are very spacious. (I suppose you had booked a standard Traditional single room). Our hotel has a small "spa" with sauna and steamroom but unfortunately we do not have a fitness. We would like to arrange one but due to the historic building of the hotel this is not a project for the very near future. Nevertheless it is possible to arrange a daily package with a nearby fitness center if you will stay with us again. We wish you all the best for 2019 and hope welcoming you again this year. Best regards, Sandra Lampée, General Manager

OK its pretty and the location is good. Reception was cool and indifferent. Friendly, but superficially friendly. I didn't feel valued. The bell boy took my (very small) bag to my room. I didn't want him to but there was a very awkward level of expectation. The room was

Dear client, We would like to thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay in our hotel. We are sorry to read, that you have not been entireley satisfied. In general we always have very good feedback about the welcome by our staff but we had some issue with one person at reception which has been resolved in the meantime. Our bellboy always bring clients up to the room as this is the service we would like to offer at the Grand Hôtel de l'Opéra.(some rooms are also difficult to find as we have rooms in different parts of the building). Nevertheless he should have respected your wish to go up to the room by yourself. The room you have booked was a traditional single room. We have 5 different room categories and starting from the deluxe room they are very spacious (24 to 32 sqm) and equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine. We can also bring a water boiler up to room if you request one at reception and bar service is provided from 7H15 am to 11H15 pm also in the room. We welcome a lot of business travellers at the hotel and globally they are always satisfied. Of course our hotel is not that modern than any chain hotel you will find close to the airport. We nevertheless hope welcoming you again in our property. Best regards, Sandra Lampée, General Manager

I stayed for 4 nights and in the middle of the first night found the room cold and could not get the thermostat higher than 22 degrees. I complained about this early the next morning and during the day this limit was removed so that the thermostat could be raised to 26 degrees

Dear client, thank you for your feedback about your stay with us. We have also replied to your e mail due to our guest survey sent to you directly. As already explained october is mid season and days have been still very warm. The hotel is in a period between stopping airconditioning and starting the heating. 22 degrees is even above recommended temperature for a sleeping room and unfortunately at that period we could not heat more as other clients still use the airconditioning to have it colder in the room. We are sorry that this was inconvenient for you and nevertheless hope welcoming you again at the Grand Hôtel. Best regards, Sandra Lampée, General Manager

We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, but there was coffee provided in the lobby some mornings. It may have been compensation for the renovations going on.
