Just home after a great week in Lourdes, stayed in l'Europa Hotel which I can't praise enough. This is a family run Hotel and Tristan, his parents and staff, especially Michael were so friendly and helpful. Very reasonable and as much food as you could eat and if you didn't like something they did their best to get something to suit you. Have stayed there a few times and please god hope to be back there again next year.
We stayed for a week as part of a pilgrimage group from the UK. The owners and their team could not have looked after us better. Air conditioning throughout ith easy contols in the bedroom. Great bar service and flexible around meal times. Quietish location with attractive views of the river and hills.
It was a really nice Hotel and really affordable where you have a great view on the amazing village . This amazing Hotel has a beautiful staff and the menu that the chef made for us during our stay was just fabulous and we would like to thank him a lot for this special welcome ! Our favorite Guy will remain ERIC who was really nice to us and he was always here from morning till night time ! This hotel offers a variety of things to do in Loudres and its next to the sanctuary of Loudres ! Lot of thanks from Gaiqui and François Family ! We would like to thank all of you one more time for this incredible vacation in Lourdres and we will never forget what you did for us !
Having stayed in the Europe four times I will always go back. It is one of the few, if not only, family run hotels in Lourdes, a place where most hotels have now gone down the commercial route and lack the same character. It recently celebrated its 100th year and I love the fact it is still in the family, who are wonderful and will do anything to ensure your needs are met. They are so helpful. They cater really well for vegetarian and vegans and have a great menu of authentic French food. How would I describe the Europe? Friendly, homely, clean, quirky (every floor has an amazing array of old religious artefacts and statues), has so much character and you are made to feel so welcome. Oh and the bar is a great and they do a lovely Rose wine!
This hotel, built in 1920, retains its original architectural features and is a joy to stay in. Its position by the River Gave and the views from the hotel offer a real sense of peace. The food is excellent - fresh, varied and appetising; I have an intolerance to garlic, and when necessary my food was cooked separately - really appreciated, as I've stayed in 5* hotels across the world, and been offered poached salmon and chicken! The owners and staff do everything they can to make your stay perfect, and are such lovely people. I'd recommend this hotel without reserve. 0
Lovely family run hotel. The food is wonderful. Lots of vegetables all freshly cooked. Most hotels in Lourdes make no provision for vegans or vegetarians, just serving plain pasta or couscous. Hotel de l'Europe always serve well prepared real food. Nothing is too much trouble. Russell
Lovely hotel with clean rooms and good food. The staff was very helpful and polite. Good value for money. Close to local amenities and shops and also 10 min walk to the church. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Lourdes.
We stayed at this hotel from 23rd to 30th April. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we were made very welcome, so much so that we felt like family members or friends rather than tourists. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable and afforded us views over the river. During our stay, we had the opportunity to sample some French cuisine and enjoyed some really tasty meals. Altogether, a very enjoyable holiday, and we look forward to returning again one day. Many thanks Tristan, Mary and John, for helping to make our stay such a positive one. Our very best wishes, Barbara, Mary and Martin.
Such a lovely hotel in a perfect location on the banks of the river Gave. Only a short walk to the Grotto and beside shops and restaurants. The outstanding memory for me is how friendly and kind each staff member was to all of us (including five children!). They will go out of their way to make your stay a memorable and pleasant one. The bus to and from the airport is so accessible from the hotel.
As a regular client (since my childhood), I was happy to find this hotel and its family in the same charming and hospitable condition as the last time I was a guest there. In this first post-Corona trip, we were so happy to find certainties... We stayed at this Hotel for a few days last week, and... it feels like home... Thank you for those warm and welcome feeling :-) Clean rooms, with airco now. Good job! Restaurant and the lovely classic bar are absolutely a PLUS. For us, this really is a certitude, always happy to stay a few days when we're in the south of France. There is not only the Town of Lourdes, but also other trips possible: Pyrenees with Aspin, Tourmalet, Gavarnie, Pau, and even Biarritz.
