Nestled on the iconic Champs Élysées, the Paris Marriott Champs Elysees Hotel is lauded for its prime location, ideal for exploring the city's attractions. While the atmosphere oozes chic elegance, a few guests feel it misses a local Parisian charm. The rooms receive mixed reviews; some appreciate the modern upgrades, but others question the quality and service.
The hotel's amenities, including diverse dining options and a helpful concierge, earn praise, and the overall cleanliness stands out. Opinions on value are contentious, with many travelers finding the cost steep for an average experience. Service experiences also vary, ranging from professional to disappointing.

Detailed Reviews
Their location on the Champs-Élysées can’t be beat, near the metro, multiple Michelin star restaurants, Louis Vuitton, and several pharmacies with rapid COVID testing. The rooms are centered around a large atrium with skylight which bathes the entire hotel in the Parisian natural light. My wife also loved the scent in the hallways and after they cleaned the room, and we felt comfortable that COVID protocols were adhered to consistently. The hotel was an excellent homebase for our first post pandemic vacation (5 nights) in France.

+1
The Paris Marriott Champs Elysées hotel is located right in the middle of the action, in one of the busiest intersections of the city, and yet once you walk through the gilded iron gates, it feels secluded. The lobby is an impressive atrium with a glass dome and features the reception and concierge desks, on the opposite side a bar for an afternoon aperitif before navigating the throngs of people out on the avenue!
The hotel enjoys a privileged location in a historic building which once housed the Louis Vuitton atelier and warehouse. For the curious ones, when you stand in front of the building and look up, you can still see the LV name on the building.
The check-in process was quite efficient, we were in our room in just a few minutes. Our room was facing a courtyard on the side of the building, please note there are many room types here, some which feature views into the atrium where the lobby is. We chose a Deluxe King Room for our stay. The rooms are quite spacious for Paris city-center standards, and it features a cozy seating area, desk, King bed, plenty of closet space. The bathroom was also quite big with both bath and separate shower stall, and featured a vast array of L'Occitane bath products!
It's no secret - this is a hotel that requires a bit of a revamp soon, you will definitely miss modern amenities like usb ports. But to be honest the condition of the room was quite good, spotless and the temperature could be controlled quite easily. As we were celebrating a wedding anniversary, we were welcomed by an amazing display of amenities in the room, courtesy of the Guest Experience team. We were so thankful for this! delicious macaroons, wine and fruit with a personalized message.
The bed was on the firm side, but then again I do enjoy that. Just please note if you prefer otherwise I'm sure the hotel would be able to accommodate upon request. There were several complimentary bottles of Evian in the room. Due to Covid procedures, prior to arrival I was notified that housekeeping service would only happen on every third day of our stay, however I was pleasantly surprised to see that my room had been serviced every day. it was amazing to come back to a refreshed room every afternoon.
I did not use the restaurants or bars of the hotel so sadly can't comment on those. However, what shines here is the people, the amazing team that is willing to help out with any questions, recommendations or directions. A special thank you to Mr. Fabien Villoteau (Front Office Manager) whose expertise and knowledge of the city were invaluable, and also to Ms. Anjana Perera, she takes pride in the hotel and what they do as a team, making sure memorable experiences are at the forefront. We were in very good hands and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking to stay in the heart of Paris.

The entrance is quite discreet right there on the Champs Elysees, half way between the Franklin Roosevelt and the George V metro stations. There are two sections, one older section overlooking the Champs Elysees, I believe it used to be the old Louis Vuitton factory, and a newer section in the back. We had a nice "Junior Suite" that was actually on 3 levels between two floors, great view right on the Champs Elysees, nice minibar, coffee machine, amenities, air conditioning worked great, tv with many channels, lots of pressure and quick hot water in the shower, great internet, just a great room experience for us. The breakfast was really more than adequate, with omelets or eggs cooked to order, smoked salmon, hams, fresh fruit, all sorts of breads, etc etc. The best part of the stay however was the staff. Not one unfriendly person in the entire hotel for three days, quite a feat in Paris (sorry !) !! Highly recommended if you are looking to visit that area of Paris.

I had two reservations made for the following:
- 27 Dec till 28 Dec for Parlor Suite
- 28 Dec till 31 Dec for Family Room
Upon checked in, I was offered to change the Parlor Suite to Family Room instead for easy staying so I don’t need to move my belongings on 28 Dec. I thought thag will be wonderful and therefore I agreed.
When entering the Family Room, it was not as my expectation, the carpet very smelly and the worst thing was the water pressure was very low so it was not pleasant at all to stay in that room.
Without even taking a bath, I asked to be moved to a higher room category. Unfortunately since they’re fully booked, so they don’t have other room available and even the Parlor Suite which was booked earlier was not available anymore.
I appreciated the response from the Front Desk Team who did whatever they could to ensure I continued to stay that night. But since I was not comfortable anymore so I moved directly at 12am in the morning to Park Hyatt since they’re happened to have availability on their Diplomatic Suite.
Again, I appreciated the Front Desk staff at that time who said will waive the room charge for that night and will cancel the reservation with no extra charge. They appologize and helped me to move my belongings. I was very pleased.
However, few days after receiving my credit card bills, I just realized that they have took 2 deposits upon checked in, one at Euro 8,140 and second at Euro 3,650.
What was odd is for the 1st one, the room rate for family room is only Euro 799/night. Even if they took for the whole stay, it should be Euro 3,995 without incidental. How could they took Euro 8,140?
Another worst thing is when checking my credit card bill, it was not a block as deposit but it’s being CHARGED. I called my bank, they said it has been collected by the hotel and now it being collected to me.
Dear Paris Marriott, how could you took 2 times deposit and now even you charge your guest which was never stayed in your hotel???
Now I can not use my card and even I have the credit bill to pay.
I have called the Front Desk, Global Marriott Team and waiting for your answer. And yes I am Marriott Bonvoy Elite member.

I have rated this hotel 3 stars because it has great location and good service. Other than that, there is nothing good I can write about. My husband is a Bonvoy Platinum Elite member so we have been to our fair share of Bonvoy hotels. This one, given how pricey it was (whether paying cash or points) is extremely outdated and lacks major amenities.
The rooms we were given had disgusting old carpets with big stains. The room hasn’t been renovated probably since the 80’s or something by the looks of wear and tear of the furniture and the decor. Our room door lock was broken and wouldn’t close properly without a lot of hassle so we finally had to ask them to change the lock. I’m surprised the housekeeping wouldn’t share this details with the maintenance and we had to. Speaking of housekeeping, it was unpredictable whether they will refresh some things in the room or not - IF they didn’t forget our room. They forgot to clean our room 2 separate days, and we had to remind them. We would leave our There seems to be renovation going on by the sounds of drilling that began at around 8 am or so and lasted the whole day till 5-6pm. I hope they are planning to update the rooms too.

I typically try to stay here for business trips to Paris given the location and service I usually get.
The staff is very attentive, treat you well, acknowledge any status you carry with Marriott Bonvoy and acquiesce to any request you make in advance or at the time of arrival.
Breakfast is one of my favourite things about this property as it sets me up nicely for a busy day in the Paris office.
The rooms are clean, comfortable, and generally nice. There's typically a good ambiance in the hotel too.
Value for money is questionable since prices fluctuate immensely given the location and city [there's always something happening in Paris that drives up the cost].

Arrived at the hotel at approximately 15:30 and was told the room was not ready but the cleaning team was in the room preparing it for us. After nearly one hour, I spoke with reception and was told that a supervisor was inspecting the room and it would be ready shortly. We thought “wow, this room is going to be impeccably clean” but were we ever wrong. After a nearly 90 minute wait we received our keys and when we entered the room we found a dirty cloth on the furniture and a previous guest’s dirty clothing on the floor. I firmly believe that we were lied to as the room was obviously not inspected and never have I seen a room take 90 minutes to clean.
I asked the concierge team to have a manager call us which they did quite promptly but the result was lackluster to say the least. We have always enjoyed staying at Marriott properties but this time has been different. The manager said he would speak with the housekeeping team to sort out the issue but that was the extend of the goodwill.
As we used a significant amount of Marriott Bonvoy points plus cash to stay here, we were disappointed that no goodwill gesture was made by management to correct the shortcomings. Additionally, I messaged the hotel personnel using the Marriott app and have not been responded to. At this point we have determined that the hotel management is not bothered with customer satisfaction and we are going to enjoy our time in Paris despite the poor service.
On a positive note, the hotel is perfectly situated and within walking distance to many of Paris’ attractions.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The common areas are lovely, lobby, restaurants, etc. It's also in one of the most prime location in Paris. In the evening, you feel comfortable as there are doormen that let you in and out of the building. Further, staff are very, very nice and try to be as accommodating as possible. Oh, and the lobby bar is fantastic!
The only big issue is most of the rooms are in desperate need of a revamp. Our first room had stained carpet, walls, and window drapery. We pointed this out to the Front Desk immediately and housekeeping was sent. The housekeeper mentioned that there was not really much that could be done and that many rooms are in need of an upgrade/update. As a Bonvoy Gold Member, rooms like that would have never been up for sale here in the US. I am fine with 'worn,' but this was terrible. We were then moved to a Suite for a hefty upgrade charge. It was much nicer, but significantly more expensive. Room views at this hotel are drastically different, as well. One side of the hotel faces the front street, the other side faces the Paris skyline, and other rooms are 'interior' with limited views of the atrium.
Overall, I would suggest this hotel, but choose your room wisely.

The location is great for being proximal to so many tourist attractions including the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe. There's a metro station right there. It's not in a quiet area as the Champs Elysees is a busy place, but it's right in the heart of all the great shopping. That said, inside our room you couldn't hear the street noise. The staff was great and always willing to answer questions and genuine in their want to assist in any way they could. I would stay here again.

I am a lifetime Marriott Gold member so generally like their hotels My rating reflects the “value,” ie the experience relative to the cost and self assessment Marriott Champs Elysees refers to themselves as a 5 star hotel and charges ~$800 a night The location is obviously fine and the rooms spacious and clean, the lobby beautiful. The defects were as follows;
1 The concierge service was among the worst i have come across One man, Zuhair, spent 20 minutes arranging for me to buy a ticket to the Army Museum for $20 ( plus $5 tip) when in fact the museum was free on Saturday and Sunday He generally was curt as well, providing little advice as to the quality of said museum vs others Leandre would not provide receipt for refund for Museum, forcing me to call front desk manager to do it He also reserved an awful restaurant for dinner, and would not tell me how hard it would be in the morning to grab a taxi or uber (since Sunday is no car day starting 11am) They were unhelpful and rude
2 The gym is ill -equipped The only stair master did not work There is one non Peloton bike and a treadmill, along with a crappy set of weights, and no universal The technician could not fix the stair master
3 It is a bit awkward to navigate the place To go to gym one must go on 1st floor, take bridge over and then go down to basement There are two elevator banks to separate room blocs, with poor demarcation as to which rooms go where Furthermore the elevators are finicky in allowing the room cards to activate floor selection Being on floor 2, i often could not get it to work fast enough, forcing me to go to a higher floor and then come down
4 The bell captains are unethical, mercenary. One would not get a taxi for me so I was forced to hail one After getting into car, the bell man ran out to my driver and said he had called for someone else, trying to kick me out!! The taxi driver said this was untrue and that these bellman do this to get 15% of the fare and/or a large tip from rider
So more like a 2-3 star experience

Responded Sep 21, 2022
Dear Mr Robert, I recognize your time is valuable and appreciate the time you took to provide your feedback. We have well understood your disappointments regarding your stays and we feel deeply sorry about the issues you have experienced. Obviously, the service you described does not meet our standards of operations and the service we strive to give to our guests. Of course your feedback will be share with the rest of the teams and managers. Please note that regarding the taxi situation, our bellmans do not get any percentage from the fare or any tips from the drivers. The taxis our bellsmans call on the street are all external professionals and do not have any links to our hotel. I have taken good note about the difficulty you encountered to go to the health club and we will do the necessary to improve the sings that indicate the way. My hope is the next time you are in the area, you will give us another chance to provide the guest experience we strive to deliver. Kind regards,

The rooms are small as compared to the other Marriott properties. We had a an upgrade and after that I am saying, the room was an average size. I don’t think all the rooms are renovated.
Only 38 rooms updated - when where the elevator to the workout room was out of service the entire week we stayed. Seats in restaurant warn out, our room wa in disrepair, cracked mirror, broken vanity mirror, stained dirty carpeting.
