I chose this hotel in part for the fantastic reviews on TA, and because it was within our price point (not too inexpensive where they won't have showers and such, and not too over-the-top expensive). The other reviewers were absolutely right. This hotel was superb. It was clean, modern, and comfortable. The rooms were small, as customary in packed cities...

My girlfriend and I stayed here at the end of May, our first trip to Paris which we had planned to coincide with my girlfriend's birthday. We found the staff to be absolutely brilliant, e.g. upon finding out it was my GF birthday they presented her with a gift from the spa, and when we asked about local restaurants not...

Loved everything about this charming hotel in the Latin Quarter. The location is perfect. It is not far to Norte Dame, Pantheon, shopping in St Germaine, metro stops and lots of small, charming, wonderful restaurants recommended by the friendly staff. Some restaurants are a street or two away ...But somehow we didn't discover them ourselves. The breakfast was very ample...

Small boutique hotel, conveniently located within walking distance to Louvre museum and Gallery LaFayette. The rooms has stylish decor and the reception is very helpful if you need advice. The breakfast is small but really tasty. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. The only weird thing was is that you have to leave your room key at the...

Had a fabulous stay in Paris with perfect weather. Hotel Monge was delightful. Staff were very pleasant and super helpful. Went BandB... breakfast didn't look anything special so nothing missed. Good location 15 minute walk from Notre Dame. Bedroom very nice if slightly on the small side. Definitely recommend.

Very very tiny room, you basically walk in and step on the bed... it is renovated so that's very nice. You can hear EVERYTHING outside your door, so if someone leaves early or comes back late you will hear it. Staff is very attentive, helpful and will make an extra step if you need anything. Very good breakfast. It doesn't...

Excellent hotel in the Latin Quarter, very close to multiple metro stations and within walking distance of many attractions, most notably Notre Dame Cathedral. It also looks over The Arenes de Lutece, a partially reconstructed Roman amphitheatre which is now part of a park. The daily breakfast was excellent, and in the evenings the breakfast room was used as a...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
