Travelers' Choice
Winner of ‘Leading Hotel of the Year 2019’, The Edwardian Manchester brings redefined five-star luxury to the city’s beautiful Grade II*-listed Free Trade Hall. Following a recent multi-million-pound redesign, the hotel has been transformed into a lifestyle destination that introduces a new standard of service. Its 263 bedrooms are distinguished by ample space and floor-to-ceiling windows, whilst many of the stunning suites feature sweeping city views, entertaining areas and outdoor space. Nestled underneath the iconic colonnade is The Spa & Gym, a state-of-the-art wellness retreat in the heart of the city. Natural, tactile oak walls and a menu of mind-resetting ESPA treatments instil pure calm, alongside an expansive aquamarine pool with cabanas, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. Remaining a stage for celebration and entertainment, Peter Street Kitchen captures the essence of the building’s former glory and atmosphere, winning the prestigious “Best Luxury Restaurant” award in 2019 for its exquisite selection of contemporary Japanese and Mexican small plates. In The Library curated by Assouline, a space for relaxed socialising sets the scene for afternoon tea, signature cocktails and a Parisian-inspired menu. Located in Manchester’s city centre, the hotel provides unparalleled access to Spinningfields business district and the shopping and nightlife of Deansgate.

+1
I stayed for three nights, and it was absolutely amazing. From the moment I checked in, the staff couldn't do enough for you. The room was stunning, the breakfast was delicious and the hot tube, swimming pool and spa with different water features was tranquil and inspiring. I recommend this hotel and you will enjoy the experience.

Hotel's Favorite
I very much enjoy staying in this hotel, this is our second time here; there is something Zen and tranquil about the ambience as soon as you walk through the door. Staff are unobtrusive but polite and kind. Our room again had a quietness that I have only ever experienced in a very special Rocco Forte Hotel in Florence., again very clean. The beds are extremely comfortable, which is very important as I have a equally fab bed at home. Air conditioning excellent and ease of use. We had a great view of the city which I always enjoy when I come to Manchester. Breakfast was very good, but there was two of us, due to restrictions it was not ideal eating on the bed, I would not have ordered this had I known ( why not put a narrow table in with an extra chair?) One reviewer complained about the Japanese salmon muffin breakfast being half a muffin, all you have to do is order two, but this should be mentioned in the menu. If I order a muffin I expect two halves with salmon. I would like to put a special commendation in for Keeley in the spa who was absolutely lovely, helpful and professional. After hearing me mention to other spa guests that we fancied the open top sight seeing bus, she found out the times and let me know… also after admiring the amazing aromas in the spa, she found out the price of the Espa vaporiser…. so now upgrading from Neom many thanks! Thanks to Vittoria too who looked after our needs when we checked out and wanted to further explore. This is a great hotel and I will be returning, thank you. Caroline and Adam Stevenson

Stopped here a few years ago and given the covid situation it was nice to see positive staff and a clean organised environment as usual. Although the restaurant was closed but room service was offered and our breakfast in bed was included in the room rate which is always nice. Always recommend this place its a perfect location for all areas of Manchester. The pool and spa are worth a visit too

Our first trip away since restrictions lifted to meet up with family who we have not seen for far too long and I am so pleased we picked The Edwardian in Manchester for our stay . It has a calm , welcoming atmosphere made even more so by the extremely friendly and professional front desk staff member , Jonathon who was able to help with all our questions. The hotel is spotlessly clean and fresh . The rooms are very well appointed and I can not think of anything that has been over looked. AND RELAX !!

WOW can't really say much more than that. The room was stunning and they pulled out all of the stops to decorate it beautifully with rose petals to celebrate my birthday. The bar staff went out of their way to make any drink we wanted regardless of whether it was on the menu but special mention must go to Gary on concierge, is there anything this man can't arrange??? Massive kudos to Gary for ensuring our stay was seamless even down to ensuring we had restaurant reservations in the very best places. If you want that little something extra special then this is the hotel for you...just make sure you say hi to Gary
