Have stayed at the other Holiday Inn Express in Manchester on Oxford Road. This is more convenient for the centre - Arena, Cathedral, Northern Quarter, Deansgate/ Spinningfields etc, other one better for Academy, Gorilla, Ritz, RNCM and Palace Theatre. Staff here very friendly

Picked as handy fro Victoria Station; not too far from Piccadilly either. In the trendy "Northern Quarter", new build with nice rooms (great showers) and OK breakfast. Lots to do nearby, inc some great restaurants and bars, shops close too

Hotel is clean, rooms basic but fine, bar sparse but adequate. Real problem with this business trip was lack of attention to detail. I checked in and went into the bar - rested my arm on the bar, and put my sleeve in a pool of beer. Wipe the bar down guys, there was no-one else

First time staying at this hotel Checked in at 11 am and room was ready The room was warm and clean with everything you needed My only niggle was for me the pillows were way too hard but that is just me Would certainly stay here when going to the arena
