The staff at this hotel are amazing. We were so well looked after. The hotel was really nice and peaceful and calm. Breakfast was great and our bedroom was huge (we had an executive double). The only downside was that the shower cubicle was a bit small. Other than that it was perfect. We would like to mention Lorna and Phil who were both amazing and took the time to help us and chat to us about some of the additional Pride activities such as the interactive Pride trail. We have already booked to come back to this hotel next year and can’t wait to return.

I've read other reviews and the hotels responses, I am trying to be considerate of the building's age and natural wear and tear - however, I wanted to include plenty of photos for others to view and judge for themselves. Ignoring general wear and tear, my main issues were: Multiple hairs found in and around the bath (unclean) Grime in Bathroom fittings and fixtures (unclean) Faulty lights - bedside light flickers (electrical fault?) Floor lamp broken - has come away from the stand on one side Faulty door lock (unsafe) - door still openable from the outside, can manually lock from the inside with some wriggling back and forth effort. VERY squeaky bed - I'm here alone and both sides are unbearable. Again, plus additional wear and tear (plenty of it) I'm so disappointed in my room I am visiting reception to request a room change. Even if the hotel resolves this for me, I think it's still perfectly valid to leave a public review so others can make an informed decision to stay here. …

Good afternoon, we are sorry to hear this. While we are aware that there is a degree of wear in places, many things like the door, lamps have not been reported to us. When we hear of such we send the maintenance manager to resolve the issues. Most of our mattresses are new or currently being replaced. Do let us know what room you are in so that staff can investigate. We work hard to resolve any issues that a guest may face to ensure a comfortable stay. The hotel over this year is having many improvements, so we hope this rectifies many potential issues. Regards, Pete

Totally disappointed that there was not an actual duvet cover on our bed. Really ruined the night of what should have been a comfortable sleep. Seems a make-shift duvet cover was designed from two sheets and a substandard duvet. I would not have any opinion on the duvet if I hadn’t actually seen it. I think whoever made our room up had to improvise but I couldn’t sleep and felt very disappointed by this obviously. There was a tear in the curtain too. Tea and coffee and biscuits were fine and the bathroom was clean.

Overall, nice stay. The hotel is located in the city centre so you are walking distance from everything. The room was clean but dated. The staff I’ve encountered were friendly, And I’ve met quite a few as I have to go to reception twice or three times a day to code my key card so I can access my room. Though I was keeping that thing by itself it kept being demagnetized. The front desk staff were very helpful. The bartender was okay did not have much interaction with him he was busy talking to his coworker so just visited the bar that one time. I used my coffee mug on the first day and that dirty mug remained on the counter the entire stay. Great location,Friendly staff but that’s pretty much it. Will not be my first choice for my next trip to Manchester.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights on a first-time visit to Manchester. We based our accommodation choice on location and the fact that it’s not part of a large chain offering a cookie-cutter experience. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and offered an early check in, which was an unexpected and welcome surprise after a long flight. Our room was clean, quiet and cosy, the bed very comfortable and the daily buffet breakfast offered a generous selection of options. The staff were unfailingly friendly. We would return in a heartbeat.

Absolutely amazing hotel. I could not have had a better experience here. Me and my partner booked it on Wowcher for a standard room and breakfast. We arrived early and were able to drop off our luggage before we checked it which was great. When we came back, Phil, the gentleman at the desk, offered to upgrade us to a suite as they didn't have too many bookings. All the staff have been absolutely lovely with us. The room it's self is absolutely stunning. The size is great, the electrical access is is great places, the cleanliness is next level and the whole room felt like home away from home. It was very comfortable. Highly recommended staying here!!

We stayed at the hotel as part of my 60th birthday celebrations and could not have picked a more perfect hotel. Lovely decor, fab location but most importantly brilliant staff. On arrival, the lovely Phil gave us a room upgrade and a complimentary glass of fizz - it was so unexpected and greatly appreciated, a fantastic start to our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for any member of staff we dealt with - I don't know all the names but thank you to Natalie and John for our mega icebuckets, to the lovely breakfast girls who got me veggie sausages and to Pete and Paul for just being thoroughly pleasant. We loved Manchester and had some great food - Fab pizzas in Rudys, amazing chinese in Happy Seasons and lovely Indian food in Radjoot however the totally disinterested and surly staff (apart from the pleasant young man behind the bar) did not make that dining experience the most pleasant, but that's another review. Thank you team Townhouse for a memorable stay for our special occasion, we would return in a heartbeat and would highly recommend others to come to the hotel too.…

Booked a suite- the bedroom had no window at all- don’t use the q park it’s expensive - they don’t make the beds apparently unless you ask- not restock the minibar or even give you clean glasses. Way better options at this price point

Thank you for leaving a review. We welcome & appreciate your feedback. Car parks (including hotels) are approximately £24-£30 for a 24hr period within Manchester city centre. We offer a 20% discount code that can be used when pre-booking a Q-Park. Rooms for a stayover guest are at request as many do not require this as standard. I will inform housekeeping however about the refurbishing of glassware as this appears to be an oversight. The rates in which hotels charge vary on a daily basis. Dependent on the demand within the city for accommodations. Due to the Grade II listed status of our building, some of the the suites on the top floor have windows in the living room area & not possible in the bedrooms. Like many buildings of it's age, it just isn't possible to alter the building in such a way. The interior however has started a programme of improvements & we hope this maintains a level of satisfaction with guests. We receive many great reviews on our services & hope to build on those as the year progresses. Ensuring that we resolve any issues that may occur. We wish you well in your future choices.
