We were staying down the road at Blackbird Cottage and thought we'd go for a drink. The pub is lovely outside and in. The bar tenders were very welcoming and friendly. The pub is dog friendly which we loved (seeing the dogs happy with their owners made us happy) the bar was well stocked and full. They had local telford pork scratchings which we enjoyed. The food looked amazing even though we didn't eat there. Definitely be back soon.

Spent two enjoyable nights at this establishment whilst in the area. Ample free and secure parking. Excellent ensuite room with comfortable bed, good plumbing and nice refreshments tray. Downstairs in the pub excellent choice of wine and beer. Food and service with friendly staff exceptional. Very good value. I will return and would certainly recommend.

We enjoyed a beautifully cooked Sunday Lunch at the Shakespeare, portions were generous and well presented, pudding was a delight and the staff were very attentive -we will definitely be returning - I would highly recommend booking ahead.

For an old building rooms are of course small, but that is what you would expect. The pub does play loud music which is very audible throughout as are the sounds of drinkers - so do not expect to go to bed before closing time. Food served is okay and passable but I wouldn't rate it higher than that. Parking can be a lottery at busy times as the car park seems to be used by everyone visiting the area not just the Inn, the road is normally very quiet but does seem to attract the odd speeding sports cars and leisure motorcyclists so beware. Overall though - a charming place to stay to enjoy the location.
