Stayed here with our camper. Everything is great..... then the BUT. BUT they are bit creative about the distance from town! We had bikes so it was not too bad but it could be a real pain. The nearest supermarket is a healthy stroll away too! Think they should be up front about it though.
Disappointing. The Staff were great but the owner arrived on our doorstep. He was rude and very arrogant. Made me and my partner very uncomfortable. Not acceptable at all. Totally uncalled for. For the money we had to pay I should have gone elsewhere. We unfortunately would not recommend. Manners cost nothing.
According to the write up in Caravan Camping and Motorhome Guide 2021, it states away from busy roads. However the main Cork to Killarney train runs parallel to the site. Wifi didn't work as we were too far away from WiFi receiver. Not much to do for small children, except a few weather beaten goal posts. Facilities were clean but very over priced and over rated. My advice would be to stay in Killarney Flesk which is located across from Muckross Park, the Gleneagle Hotel.
Being new to camping, I didn't know what to expect. I was very concerned about shared facilities. I was happy and relieved that this establishment obviously prides itself on cleanliness. The bathrooms, showers, dining areas, dishwashing areas were all immaculate. I enquired of the seasoned campers next to me if this was standard and was told, no - this place is very, very good. The children loved the spead-out nature of the site which gave them lots of room to ride their bikes and make friends - and I felt safe letting them go off on their own as the site is laid out in such a way that I could relax. There is a shallow river at the bottom of the property that my children discovered and decided to wade, but they did come to get me so that I supervise. The company does mention the river in its brochures, but be mindful that young explorers may go out of their way to find it. In all, a lovely, idyllic spot and an excellent base for discoving the sites of Kerry.…
lovely clean site. plenty space for families to pitch together. facilities nice and clean 3 locations of toilet showers. few mins drive to town cemter, muckross house, national park etc. shop pn site for essentials like bread milk icecream.
We stayed in Flemings in a mobile home for 6 nights recently and would highly recommend it. The site itself is really well maintained and spotlessly clean! The shower and toilet blocks were cleaned regularly and plenty of them, even when the site was busy there seemed to be a good amount to cater for this. There is a little shop on site for the basics and nice for children to be able to go to pick out their treats. The bins were plentiful and emptied regularly. We were very comfortable in the mobile home, it was very clean and kept up to date with new flooring etc. Nice picnic table outside to enjoy the fine weather. The owners here are very hard working, friendly and welcoming but don't bother you if you don't bother them. I would definitely return to Flemings as a base to tour the area.…
First family camping trip in our tent, Flemmings was brilliant as the grounds were so well maintained , toilets, showers, sinks for washing up were all spotlessly clean & common areas also. Will definitely be back! Staff were all so lovely genuine people & very helpful !
This was our first camping trip with our 4 and 6 year old kids. We would be amateur campers and were a bit nervous but we absolutely loved it. The grounds are lovely and very well maintained. The toilets and showers are really clean and there’s loads of hot water. We found the shared common spaces with the fridge and kettle very useful. The Owners and Staff could not have been any more friendly. Overall a great experience and we’ll be back
Stayed here recently in one of the parks self catering mobile homes. The mobile home was spotless and so well equipped. The park itself is beautiful, well facilitated and everything is of a high standard. Kids had a ball! Moira the owner is very welcoming, a lovely lady and so accommodating. I can't fault anything! Ideally located just outside the town, shops and amenities close by. Highly recommend!
We camped for 3 nights here mid September (RV) and found it less than half-full and very quiet despite its suburban location. Occasional passing trains. Helpful friendly staff. Facilities open and very welcome including laundry. Level hard standing pitches. Bike hire appreciated too. Handy base for Dingle and Kerry as well as Killarney itself. Big Super-Valu supermarket in precinct 2 mins drive away.
