Travelodge is a new hotel in a great location between Tara Street and Pearse DART stations and within a five minutes walk to Tritity LUAS stop. You can walk to most sights or take the LUAS.

It is better than many other Travelodges: The room and the bathroom are a good size (they only have a soap dispenser next to the shower and next to the sink, no other toiletries), the room is clean, the rooms facing the inner yard are quiet (Townsend Street is not that busy so probably also the rooms facing the street are qiuet), there is a kettle and an espresso machine in the room. The room and the bathroom have been designed with a wheelchair access in mind. I do not need it, but the appreciated the thought that had gone into the planning. A mini fridge would be nice thing to add to the rooms as they are big enough to fit them.

There is a tap with still or sparkling drinking water close to the reception. The hotel has a bar where the staff are exceptionally friendly and polite. I had questions and visited the reception several times. Everybody I spoke with was friendly and professional, the ones I remember are Melissa, Sorin, and Abdel. I added a late check-in at 14:00 for 10 euros to my stay, which was very reasonable.

The only little complaint I have is about the housekeeping. After my first full day in Dublin I came back to the hotel and noticed that the room has not been serviced, i.e. nothing had been done. I went to the reception to query that. They explained to me that I should have put a sign outside of my room to indicate that the room should be serviced. On my request they sent some tea and coffee sachets to my room to help me get my eyes open in the morning!

The morning after I knew the process, put the sign outside of my room and the room was serviced.

Overall I was very satisfied and will happily return to Travelodge on my next visit to Dublin.

Stayed here as it was close where we needed to be, great location it was the first bus stop from the Airport at Georges Quay and its a 2 minute walk from there. We stayed in room 360 which was a corner room, big windows and a double bed, i think there was also a pull out bed but it wasnt needed. It had a samsung TV, samsung aircon, a really tiny shower room with soap and hair/body wash available. Kettle and coffee machine in the room, hairdryer and an iron/board. I didnt sleep the best as its close to a train bridge. We didnt have the breakfast as i found it quite expensive and walked 10 minutes up the road to a wetherspoons ‘The Silver Penny’ which was cheaper and also could order food and drinks to our table on their app without having to get up and que at the bar. This also helped us after checkout, the hotel checkout was 11am and after a wonder around trinity collage which is close by we also had lunch 2pm at this wetherspoons before travelling back to the airport.
I would stay at this hotel again, booked it on Booking . Com

We needed a fairly central location in Dublin to be able to get to our day trips and it worked out great. We arrived from Canada early and our luggage was stored immediately with a smile. We explored the city a little and returned by 2 pm and the room was ready. The front desk staff are excellent and friendly. Thank you Ken and Emre. They booked a taxi for us on the morning of our departure.

The room was very clean and comfortable though a little smaller than we are accustomed to but we were not in the room for extended times so it was ok. The shower was very nice and modern with a soap dispenser in the shower for shampooing and washing. The bed was comfortable and Petra was great at getting our room in perfect condition. There was not a dresser to store clothes, so we lived out of our luggage which was fine.

We chose the breakfast option for 2 days as it opens at 7 am and for 2 of the days we were out before then. The breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful for 12 Euros each. On our first try, there was a tour group going through so it was very busy but still great. The second morning was more relaxed with less traffic and Fernanda was very attentive to our table. The food was excellent again and fresh. The breakfast was a great start to the morning.

As stated before, the hotel is well situated to get to some day trips. It was about 20 to 25 minute walk to get to our meeting points. The famous Temple Bar Pub was also about a 20 minute walk from the hotel and we had a nice meal there.

Don’t know if we’ll return to Dublin but if we do I would not hesitate in booking here again.

The atmosphere upon entering the hotel is reminiscent of a classical jazz cafe. Designed with truly elegant decor and a touch of nature for a calming and tranquil ambience. I had no trouble sleeping and it was as if I was in a remote destination. There were no disturbances from the outside rumble of the busy streets.
There is a restaurant within the hotel and a bar to grab some refreshments before heading out or tucking in after a long day of exploration. The rooms are fitted with soft carpet your feet will thank you for. The hotel is situated in the city centre and close to numerous retail stores, coffee shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Taking public transportation was hardly necessary as entertainment is just around the corner or 5 mins away. I highly recommend staying at Travelodge Plus. The price is extremely affordable for all the amenities you receive and I was not disappointed at all. I will be booking a stay again. Thank you for all the professional and swift hospitality.

My husband & I stayed here last weekend for two nights with my husband's brother and his wife. From the moment we walked in the doors we were treated like royalty, the staff couldn't have been friendlier. Check in was seamless and our room was beautiful. It was a lovely large bright room with plenty of windows. The bathroom was compact and ideal which meant there was more space in the bedroom itself. The bed was large and luxurious and the staff had left a lovely touch of a plate of brownies. My brother in law's wife was celebrating a significant birthday and the staff sent a bottle of prosecco to the room.
We had breakfast included in our stay in the bright restaurant in the hotel. The breakfast was buffet style with plenty of options. We loved that the tables in the restaurant are well placed so that you are not sitting on top of other guests. We really enjoyed the food. We had dinner included on one night and boy did we enjoy it. We had a 3 course meal with wine that was stretched out over 3 hours, every course was as good as the next and the service was exceptional.
All 4 of us have been raving about our stay since we came back and now we want to book it again. I honestly can't recommend this hotel and especially the staff enough.

Booked for one night on a trip to Dublin, hotel was easy to find and just off the main streets of Dublin City centre. First time staying in one of Travelodge’s “plus” hotels and I was pleasantly surprised about how much of an upgrade they are to there standard hotels. Clean modern check in with a restaurant and bar next to check in I arrived just after 3PM and there was a line to check in took about 10 mins from joining the line to get to the front, check in assistant was pleasant and welcoming. Was assigned a 1st floor room. Upon entering the room was a small but functional room featuring a desk and chair , telephone , tea and coffee facilities, and even a safe. The rooms are also equipped with Air Conditioning. Also i noticed upon entering the Room the Window was open which I wanted closed to have a better nights sleep and block out the City noise upon trying to shut the window I noticed it would not close. Went to reception and they sent a gentleman up to try and close it, this didn’t work and said he’d send for maintenance. Gentleman came and temporarily fixed the window to get it closed. Sleep wise I didn’t hear anyone from the room above which was amazing but that might be due to the ultra thick piling carpet in the rooms only disturbance was from the corridor as doors were opened and closed. The bathroom in the rooms are tiny but functional but the shower I had in the morning wasn’t the best very low water pressure and had to hold the shower head as seemed like the holder had broken as it would not hold it up . Overall this is a great base for exploring Dublin. Unfortunately I cannot comment about the restaurant and bar in this hotel as did not partake in any food and drink there. Would definitely rebook this hotel if I’m back in Dublin

The hotel is in a good location although the area is quite run down, the reception is also nice, after the that things go downhill. The rooms are small, no shower gel in the dispenser, the shower leaked as the shower curtain was useless which then meant the towels were used to mop up excess water we then had to request new towels as they expect you to keep your towels for the stay, the room was not serviced bins not emptied beds not made.
The restaurant was an even bigger problem we went to the restaurant before it’s advertised closing time but we’re greeted with a number of the staff making various excuses as to why they couldn’t serve us, the day after the poor service continued with a general pointing in the direction of a table, wrong drink arrived quite frankly it was service with a scowl

I checked out at just before 10am on Friday 3rd May. However while I was out in Dublin Town centre, my girlfriend suddenly became ill and needed a place to lie down. I took her back to the travelodge and a chief member of the concierge named Ken made sure that my room was kept as it was, so my girlfriend could rest. In addition to this, he remained courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. The staff even brought a camomile tea to help with my girlfriends stomach problems. I highly recommend all the staff at this place (especially Ken) as I could not be more thankful for the service that me and my girlfriend received,

Thank you, John Crompton

We had the best night in Dublin, all thanks to Ken! Ken very kindly created an itinerary for us to get the most out of one night in the city, and each recommendation was perfectly suited for our preferences.

Ruta was also extremely helpful, she found laundry services for us that could accommodate a quick turn around service. She even printed us a map so we wouldn’t get lost!

The rooms were cozy and clean, the bed offered one of the best nights sleep on our trip so far.

We cannot wait to return at the end of the week for another great stay!
