Point A Dublin Parnell Street is a comfortable and welcoming base for guests, located within walking distance of Dublin's best shops, bars, and riverfront. Opened in 2022, the hotel has plenty of guest lounge and workspaces, as well as Moore Lane, the first cafe bar in the Point A family. Yes, you can get a pint of Guinness as soon as you arrive. Other features include fast and free WiFi, plenty of power points, and 24/7 hosts to help you feel at home during your stay in Dublin. The daily continental breakfast buffet is extensive, with a healthy and hearty selection to please all tastes. The bedrooms are fresh, modern, and full of useful essentials: five star beds, mood lighting, TVs with Chromecast, coffee and tea making facilities, and plush towels. In mid-March 2023 we begin works to add two additional floors with fantastic views to the hotel. The hotel will be open as normal. Breakfast, bar and snacks will all be still readily available. Just be aware that some of the exterior of the hotel will be under wraps and top floor rooms will not be available.

We chose the hotel as it was very good value for money, especially in an expensive city such as Dublin. The staff are very friendly and helpful, we were able to check in early which was great as we had caught an early flight. Our room was on the lower ground floor which we were warned had no view, which didn't bother us and on the plus side it was a good size. Everything was very stylish - loved the "mood" lighting. Also the shower was very good - immediate hot water and a choice of shower heads. One big plus for me was the hair dryer which was situated right by the mirror - I travel a lot and it always annoys me when the cord for the hair dryer doesn't reach the mirror! Breakfast was continental with lots of choice. The bar/breakfast area is nicely presented and comfortable. Location is good - about a 10 minute walk to Temple Bar and a couple of minutes from the AirCoach drop off/pick up point. I would definitely stay there again.

This brand-new hotel is in great shape, and the staff is on top of things. The rooms are small, but well laid-out with individual controls for lights and temperature. We had a package with breakfast, which is substantial and offers many healthy options. The lobby also has places where you can plug in, charge and work, as well as relax. There's a good lobby bar as well.

I wanted to still have a nice experience staying in Dublin without breaking the bank as I was traveling solo. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. The rooms are smart, modern and super clean. They are small, but I was just sleeping and showering/getting ready here and I felt I had more than enough space. The hotel felt safe and was in a very central location without feeling too noisy or busy. The staff is incredible. I arrived super early on my check-in day because my flight had landed early. While they didn't have a room ready immediately, I was given coffee and croissant and made to feel very welcome sitting in their beautiful lobby watching Netflix on my iPad. They did their best to get me into a room as soon as possible and I was so appreciative. The hotel is really cute and I would definitely recommend to friends and consider it for my next visit.

Stayed in Point A with a friend for one night while attending an event in Dublin City centre. Great location within walking distance of most of the city centre amenities and close to bus and rail lines. The hotel itself is spotless, modern and has everything a city centre hotel needs. Staff were excellent nothing was too much for them. Bedroom was very comfortable and quiet with barely an ounce of outside noise to be heard. Would highly reccomend Point A if considering a stay in Dublin!

While nothing in Dublin is particularly affordable currently, Point A certainly gives you the most bang for your buck. The rooms are small, but they're modern, attractive, clean and very comfortable, I stayed for 6 nights total with my 2 teenagers (in two rooms) and honestly never felt too cramped. For longer stays, you just need to unpack and use their storage options to their full extent.

The continental breakfast options were delicious and more than enough for us. Coffees (including lattes etc) were included with our breakfasts. I saw some previous reviews that said they weren't.

If there's a downside, for us, it was the location. It was my first time in Dublin and, in retrospect. I may have chosen to search for options south of the river. Everything is still close but, other than O'Connell Street, everything else is at least a 10 min walk away. And the neighborhood is grittier too (a bit like staying in downtown Brooklyn vs a gentrified DUMBO) but it gives you a great feel for the city.

But, again, at ~$160/night it was far and away the best option for the price point.

Our stay at Point A Dublin was nothing short of exceptional.

From the moment we walked through the front doors we felt the genuine warmth and charm of the people that looked after us, right till our final farewells.

Upon entering our immaculately spotless room we found a personalised note and treats welcoming us to what we would call our sanctuary for several days. Needless to say, those treats didn't last long.

The room itself isn't overstocked with unnecessary amenities. Instead, it boasts mood lighting, 5 star comfortable beds, air-conditioning and ethical shower essentials - all of which added a nice touch.

Breakfasts wasn't overbearing at all. Freshly baked pastries whiffed through the lobby as we entered the breakfast hall, and freshly prepared cut fruit, yoghurts and grains/cereals satisfied our morning cravings.

The ambiance of the hotel suggests that this establishment is more than just your average hotel. It doesn’t have corporate blues or purples palettes that are dull and dreary; instead, the natural wood, green plants and gold accents imbued with chilled music elevates the senses and gives it’s upmarket boutique feel.

To end, we’d like to express our gratitude to the people and teams that rolled out the red carpet for us; Patrick and Alex, Julia, Maria Rosa, Jason, Eileen (sorry if I spelt that incorrectly), Victoria, and the rest of the wonderful people who make this hotel a haven, a warm and big thank you from us to all of you . You have made our first trip to Ireland a treasure to remember and made us golden girls feel like a stars - a spectacular effort!

Let and Flor.

This was my last stop on a 2 week multi hotel visit to Ireland and was absolutely perfect for my needs.

It's not the most upscale location in the city but it was in easy (& safe) walking distance to everything. I got to tour pick up sites, the airport shuttle bus, the popular Liffey/O'Connell street area and a host of good pubs/restaurants and shops within 5 minutes.

The building looks like it is brand new inside. I was promptly checked in to a room that was ready early immediately upon arrival. The rooms are very small - but an absolute feat of space saving modern design. As a solo traveler I was more than comfortable in the space provided which in addition to the comfortable bed included a fold out (space saver!) chair, kettle/tea/cups and very fun Virgin Atlantic light 'mood lighting.' You couldn't easily throw a party in there but it was perfect for me who was out and about most days/nights and primarily in need of a clean, safe and well located place to sleep.

Very nice lobby and restaurant area with friendly/efficient staff. I did a lot of long tour days and I was SO appreciative of the long open hours...630am until past 9pm - this meant that I was able to get coffee, breakfast & late night dinners even on 12 hour tour days which is not always easy to do.

Breakfast was very good for the price - a number of fresh, warm and tasty options.

I would definitely stay again and look forward to trying out their other properties as well.

Absolutely couldn’t fault this hotel. The location is just perfect for a trip to Dublin . All the rooms are high tech touch points which gives it a futuristic modern feel. Shower and amenities included were all great for our visit. We didn’t have breakfast as we were up and out on at Patrick’s day but we did have lunch the following day and the food was reasonably priced and tasted great. If going for st Patrick’s day again the location is great as the parade was a 2 min walk away in the next street.
All the staff were so friendly and helpful and you can drop your bags off before check in if needed.
We will def be returning to this hotel and highly recommend.

This hotel is spotless and well maintained, stayed in a double with a close friend, beds are comfy, towels are fluffy, free safe, kettle, hairdryer, tv and aircon was all good, the only thing is it is very small, no room to move about and the shower room is very tiny so you have to move about to get in and out of the doors. The shower its self was a good size and worked well. Free hand soap on sink and shower/hair gel in shower. Room cleaned and towels changed every day. Great location for the city centre and very quiet at night. Buffet Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and great hot and cold drink choice. All staff are great and friendly.

The Point A is a brand new hotel and the decor reflects this - modern, stylish and un fussy. The staff were all competent, friendly and very welcoming and the location is great for the bus to and from the airport. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants nearby too and you are close to the tram (Luas) stops for anything further afield if you need it. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well equipped - there is even a kettle if that is one of your needs! The only negative is the LED mood lighting controls which in my opinion are unnecessarily fancy and complicated and are a bit of a nuisance as anything other than the reading light could only be controlled from one side of the bed and the ambient stuff needed a trip to the bathroom door to switch off. That said, the room is well appointed with sockets and USB charging and there is everything you need for a short stay. The basement rooms have no view or outside space so try and get one on the upper floors if you can.

Is this a safe location in Dublin for young women?

I have stayed in this area quite a few times but mainly for shopping trips. It's a two minute walk to O'Connell Street and if we do venture out at night I prefer to stick to the main roads as I feel safer there. I have family in Dublin and visit frequently so I don't overthink it. Incidents have taken place in various areas in Dublin, but like every other main city, just be vigilant. The hotel itself has a beautiful/ reception bar area if you don't feel like going out at night.

No they are not large twin beds! The beds are comfortable. Not much space between beds and window! The bathroom is nice size but when you open the door to the shower it is tight between the shower and the bathroom sink! The room is clean!
