In a central location, the hotel offers comfortable rooms, well equipped, taking care on those sensitive areas such as cleaning room and bathroom and quietness. The breakfast is really good which allow to start the day happy and full of energy :-).
In our experience during three day there, the personal at reception and the restaurant was very friendly, offering a service of excellence.

This is more like a 3* hotel but with 5* staff (namely Oskar and Jonathon from the hotel bar).
At first we were given a room that was quite clearly adapted for people with disabilities or mobile issues, including a lowered bed and wet room with a shower seat (this hotel would be fantastic if you needed an adapted room). However, myself and my husband called up to see if we could change rooms as the bathroom was not practical for us and the bed was quite low. They responded and gave us a more appropriate room.
The room was clean and spacious, comfortable bed and nice bathroom.
We visited the hotel bar a few times and were met with friendly service, it was a nice area to have a few chilled drinks before heading to your room. We didn’t eat there but the food looked very good.
The location is a 12-15 min walk from the city centre, saving money on bus/tram transport and great if you want to walk around the city.
Overall a good stay here and would visit again.

Booked a twin room for me and my son we were going to an event at the 3 Arena, Location was ideal for the 3 arena only a short taxi ride or 15 minute walk .. We had food at the bar and it was fantastic would recommend the Italian meatballs there to anyone, When we checked in we was told the car park was full as it only holds 10 cars they said so had to park in nearby car park at €40 cost for the night .. Went to our room which was clean but it was a disability room .. it did not make any difference bed wise but shower was low down for wheelchairs and had to stoop down to have a shower .. it would have been nice to be informed at reception of this and asked if it was ok for us .. stayed here cause of price and location but since we paid €40 extra for car park we could have stayed at a hotel closer to 3 arena with free parking ... know better for next time

This is my worst review to date. It sounds like a giving out session but we had a horrible stay.
Started off with no room in the car park. (Find your own) Room was clean but cold. Shower was a death trap. (Plug hole cover was broken and foot fell into drain hole) the noise in the hall and rooms all night was horrific, till about 5am. No sleep was had. Bed was spongy and with the cold room it was just uncomfortable.
Hotel residents bar was closed before 1am when we came back for a night cap and the nite staff didn't care! Cleaning staff just wandered into our room in the morning without knocking!
The reception staff acted like they couldn't care less and were dismissive when i tried to explain my stay and issue's.
Sadly i would not recommend this place!

We Booked this hotel for 2 nights for The Garth Brooks concert, so we had waited a very long time for this trip. The hotel was very expensive due to the event in Dublin that weekend.

The check in was very quick and parking was an extra 15 euro per day. Our room was on the 3rd Floor and as soon as we got out of the lift on our floor we were met with very dirty, stained, worn and tired carpets, As we headed along the corridor to our room we could see all the carpets were the same and the doors and paint work were extremely damaged. The linen trollies were all in the corridors and empty bottles and used bathrobes were left lying on windowsills. 2 cleaners were sitting in a "cupboard/storeroom" to the side on mobile phones.

When we got into the room, it was so dark. There was a tiny window with what seemed like bars on the outside. We had to put on all the lights in the room as the room as SO dark. Thats when we discovered dead flies lying on the lampshade hanging from the roof. We also found the carpet was full of very obvious stains and had not been cleaned properly.

On further inspection of the room we noted that bathroom was very grubby and many black grout stains/mold in the shower area. We also discovered that the bin in the bathroom had not been emptied from the previous guests and the dirt on the floor was still there and what seemed to be chewed nuts spat on the floor. I was DISGUSTED. I went out to find the maid (who was still on her mobile phone) and told her about the room, however she had NO English at all. She just kept saying "I not understand". So I showed her the bin and she was very red in the face and offered to change it.

We also found a small fridge in the room however it was turned on but did not keep our water cold.

We decided to eat downstairs before going to the concert and the food was very nice and we were served by a lovely man who I think was called Colin. All seemed fine until another lady at another table was asking a waitress (long blonde hair, NOT tied up around food) and glasses about her meal, and the waitress was very defensive. She proceeded to go to the kitchen but quickly and actually shouted across the room to the lady who had questioned something, YES, ITS NEW. She repeated this. This waitress was very unhappy and proceeded to bang bottles and glasses behind the bar.

To say we were disappointed with our stay would be kind. We booked a 4 star hotel in the heart of Dublin for a concert but what we got fell very short of that. This hotel was full of staff who are foreign nationals, but very few of them could speak any English or very poor English. This is unacceptable in the hospitality industry.

I will be taking my complaint further as I feel people should be given what they have paid for. I feel this hotel needs to "clean" up its act in all respects.

First time to Dublin, we booked 2 rooms to celebrate my husband's 50th.
My son and his girlfriend were firstly given an accessible room and as they are both very tall this was not suitable as the bathroom fittings were to low. Staff at reception were informed and happily and quickly changed their room which was situated over the corridor from our room. Perfect!

The staff were so accommodating during our stay. Helen at reception was so helpful and arranged for us to store our luggage both when we arrived and when we checked out. A gentleman (sorry didn't get his name) in the bar who served me coffee was wonderful, friendly and professional. The housekeeping staff were discrete and nothing was too much trouble. The staff provided us with plates when ordering takeaways.
Our rooms were spacious and clean.
There was some noise from the court yard but this did not keep us awake and was clearly people returning from an evening out which was great to hear as our lives during Covid have been so quiet for so long.
The hotel is only a short walk to town so a perfect location at a much lower cost then most hotels in the city centre.
Our hotel experience was excellent and we would stay here again.
A big thankyou to all the staff at the Maldron hotel you were the icing on the cake to a perfect first time to Dublin we will be back.

Hotel is located a short 10 min walk to the centre of Dublin in a mixed residential and commercial area of inner Dublin.
Was given a room on the 2nd floor facing the main road and the double glazing worked well, with very little noise.
A good hotel buffet breakfast was available for €12 (pre-booked and pre-paid). Very enjoyable stay, staff were professional and friendly. Room was very clean.

Having booked a two night stay in the hotel wanting to be in the city center I could not have had a better experience or booked a more fitting hotel. The receptionist Nabil went out of his way to make sure my boyfriend and I were comfortable in our room by switching a room and providing anything extra we needed straight away. My boyfriend and I were both truly impressed and felt extremely well looked after with how accommodating and nice any staff we encountered were. Incredibly clean, modern, well-kept hotel, would definitely recommend!

Parking below hotel was a great feature. Our rooms shower was not working propeller was the handle seemed to be stripped and would only supply extremely hot water unless touched just right. Shower gel was also empty when we checked into the room. Breakfast is not included and cost 14 euros per person for an average breakfast. Beds were comfortable and hotel location was in walking distance to most must see areas.

I had a lovely experience in the restaurant of the Maldron, Pearse St, on Thursday 2nd Jan. I ordered a potato cake with salmon and fries and some water. The food was beautiful but what really impressed me was that one of the staff members, Oscar, added a straw, slice of orange and a decorative umbrella to the glass. It was a small touch that really made me smile and showed great pride in his work.
