We stayed at the Ripley Court to see Slipknot in the 3arena from the 14th of January until the 16th. The check in process was very smooth and the hotel is located very centrally making it easy to travel within Dublin using the tram and to and from the arena itself. Overall we were very comfortable with our stay here, however one criticism would be that I thought the hotel rooms could be updated to be a bit more modern

Positives: central but quiet location which was an easy walk into Dublin centre and had useful shops very close by. The staff were very helpful and booked us taxis and looked after our bags on the day we checked out. Very comfy beds with clean, fresh bedding, and everything you need in the room (except I had to ask for decaf coffee). Shower room was very smart and shower good and powerful. We did sleep well whilst there although woken early by cleaners. With the breakfast included it’s pretty good value for money for Dublin.

Negatives:The Ripley Court is dated and would benefit from a redecorate and refurbishment. Communal stairs were dirty. We saw a coffee cup on the window sill on the stairs and it remained there the whole 3 days of our trip. There were a few bits in the room that had not been cleaned. There was a horrible small stain on the centre of the carpet. The dressing table chair and chairs to the little table dusty and covered in hair. This was rectified quickly. One morning out of three there was no hot water to shower. The remote control batteries were flat. The cleaners woke us every morning by parking their trolley outside the room and talking and laughing very loudly. Breakfast was mediocre and a bit of a performance as cold food was in one room and hot food in another. Not much provision for vegetarians.

Room was Clean, Car park is operated by a gate man inside who comes out when u pull up which i found strange, Breakfast was average and kind of Deli style, we had to go into the next room which had continental just to get a drink with Breakfast.

We Stayed because we were going to a concert in the 3arena and it was perfect for this 5mins on the luas got us in and back and we had food in an indian we found only 10mins walk from the hotel. - we never had to get a taxi so this is a bonus.

Overall hotel was clean and staff were friendly - recommend this hotel on a budget just lay your head down trip.

We managed to get a great offer on the hotel and paid little more than we would have for a double room in a hostal. The hotel was under some work but we never heard anything or were disrupted. The staff were friendly, we left a do not disturb on our door and we were left a bag of clean towels which was very thoughtful. The hotel itself is a bit old and has some wear and tear but for the price you can’t complain. The bathroom was well furnished. There was a desk in the room and still plenty of space. Though we didn’t eat there, the restaurant smelt amazing but closed quite early. We stayed for 2 nights and the situation was perfect, we were maybe a mile and a half from the main touristy areas like temple bar. There were dozens of shops around and souvenir shops. There is a tourist information desk in the entrance with hundreds of flyers for all kinds of great activities. The hotel is next to the airport bus stop when arriving to Dublin. We had a safe in our room and the area was relatively good in terms of safety at night - overall it was an great place to stay.

We arrived at about 10.30 in the morning and I must admit the hotel didn't look very nice from the outside and the surrounding area didn't look good either but when we went inside it was fantastic! The staff were really friendly and said our room would probably be ready at 12.30 although on their website it says checking in was at 2pm. We left our luggage in a secured locked room. We got back about 1.30 and there was a carvery in the dining room. It was only 9 euro each. It was wonderful! We had roast beef and all the trimmings. We were really impressed. We went to the room and it was quite big but cold. We soon got the heater on which worked with the key. We got ready and went out. When we got back again the room was cold. The breakfasts the next morning was fabulous. Cereal, bacon, eggs fried or scrambled, sausage, black pudding, beans, mushrooms, toast, orange juice and tea or coffee. The next night when we went out we left the key in so that the room would be warm when we got back. I would recommend this hotel but would just say all the corridors were cold and when you get cold out all day it's not good.

all the staff here are very friendly and helpful, especially the doorman and behind reception. some of the rooms and hotel does need doing up as it does look a little dated. However the beds and pillows are very comfy. The shower is super with a good water pressure. Rooms are always cleaned to a very high standard as is the rest of the hotel. plenty of tea and coffee in room. wi- fi works really well. The only thing is that the tv in the room barely picked up any tv channels however it was a smart tv so you could log into netflix etc. There is a room to store your luggage and a place to put your car if you hire one. The breakfast is fantastic with plenty on choice of the hot and cold variety of which you can have as much as you want. loads of choice of drink behind the bar as well especially whiskey.

Stayed at this hotel for one night, had the worst nights sleep ever. Room seemed clean and comfortable but they were not at all what was advertised on booking.com, as they were very dated. We were woken throughout the night by a man shouting outside of our door and constant noises that can only be described as barking. Wouldn’t stay here again as the loud noises made us feel very uncomfortable and unsafe as the noise appeared to be right outside of our door. Noise continued throughout the night. However, staff were lovely and very accommodating.

We stayed two nights in the Ripley Court and had breakfast in the hotel. Rooms were good, staff was helpful, breakfast was excellent, bar was open, price was good; what's not to like? The location puts you near bus, train, and taxis, but there is a lot within walking distance. We walked to restaurants, tour buses, sightseeing, shopping, airport shuttle; it's a very convenient place to stay.

The carvery is five stars. At €9 a plate it múst be the best value carvery in Dublin. And carvery is an Irish institution. So no better way to indulge in some native gaelic epicurean culture than feasting on a plate of the Ripley Court's carvery. I had corned beef, roast beef and all the veg. Set me up for the afternoon.

The hotel is very well connected to the airport, since the bus is at a 7 min walk from there. And so is the train station.
The hotel street goes all the way to the James Joyce statue and is full of grocery shops, pubs and places to eat at. It is a really quiet yet centered location! The best of both world.
Great hall, and there is the elevator.
The room was very simple and pretty. Really warm, and you can control the heater. Towels provided, and also toiletries. Tv and hair dryer, and also an iron for the clothes.
Wi-Fi connection was ok.
Breakfast included, with sweet and savory options
Really good deal for an hotel! Recommended

My family stayed there and I asked for rooms at the back because the train runs by the front of the hotel. We were there for a week and no one had any complaints about noise. We were on the 2nd floor.

Hi, it is virtually across the road from Connolly station. Pub on one corner, Spar shop on the other. Walk past those and Ripley Court is under the railway bridge.
