We only stayed one night on the way out of the country. The staff were very friendly and the rooms are nice. The website says there "could" be noise, change that to "there will definitely be noise" and then make your decision. One of the consequences of being in a good location means noise will be around but this location has a club on the premises which makes it a little more intense. However, the tram and bus are right around the corner so it's very convenient. If you stay here do NOT take room 602 (or any of the 600 rooms), you will not sleep at all.

We stayed at the Harcourt for 4 nights from the 12th June. We were impressed with the speed and checking in on arrival. Our room was in the wing, so we had to go back outside and back into the next building. On arrival of our room, I was a bit disappointed. It was quite dark, with a window at the far end of the room with a window overlooking the back. Everything was in the room, the usual amenities, hairdryer, toiletries etc, white fluffy clean towels, tea, coffee etc. The bed was so comfortable, and the bedding very clean,. If the room was painted in a neutral colour and maybe plain curtains the room wouldn't look as dated. But more importantly, it was very clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was a buffet affair with plenty of choice, the usual choice of continental and full cooked breakfast items, the bacon and sausages were very good quality. I asked the waiter for poached eggs a couple of mornings, instead of the scrambled or fried what was on offer, they were very good! The bar was beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice to be fair, The garden bar was great. There was a student graduation party one night and the security staff made sure the residents of the hotel were very much looked after, it was great! felt like royalty!!
The only downside was no parking, although you get discounted parking at a couple of the multistorey car parks in the centre, we spent about £80 pounds on
parking. It was only about 15 min walk into the centre. Would stay here again deffinatly.

Rooms - NO air con made our two night stay an extremely uncomfortable one. Although the staff very kindly provided a fan, this didn't make much difference and affected our overall stay through lack of sleep. Our friends did have it much worse though. They were on the sunny side of the hotel and when we walked into the room both mornings I do not exaggerate when I say it was like walking into a sauna, despite a fan. We were all woken up at 7am with cleaners banging drawers and dragging what I can only guess was a hoover against every vertical surface they could find, and talking very loudly in the room across the hall (we were room 4107, our friends on 4105)

Restaurant - absolutely amazing staff including security. Made us feel safe and nothing was too much trouble. Ended up staying there most of the time as it was such a great atmosphere. Hotel staff were wonderful also and felt the receptionist listened to our concerns and wrote them down. Also took on board the good stuff above too. Other than that, it was a lovely hotel and had there been air con we would have really enjoyed ourselves. Don't bother with breakfast at their sister hotel the Iveagh, though (separate review on that).

We were welcomed by friendly reception staff and checkin was easy. The hotel is outdated but clean. Walls are thin, we could hear conversation in the next room and some very loud guests in the floor above kept us awake for hours. Bathroom was sooo freezing, not sure if the window was sealing properly. We sat in the bar while waiting to check in and didn’t realise until after we bought drinks they must have been about to close as the staff just started cleaning around us, blocked off the doors and made us feel quite uncomfortable, we’d have rather they just didn’t serve us in the first place. Location is good - easy walk into st. Stephens green area and temple bar isn’t far. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

Hotel was clean staff were professional and helpful. Rates were very competitive but not representative of today's prices as this booking was made early this year. The room was clean if a little noisy because of its close proximity to the main stairway and main lobby area of the hotel. They offer a bag holding service which is handy and there's a very convenient Luas stop only a minutes walk away.

This hotel would be better called the heartbreak hotel. The hotel it's self is beautiful but the rooms were below average for the price. We paid €208 for 2 nights and we got put in a room under the staircase, I felt like Harry Potter. The constant noise of guests and staff stomping up and down all day and night wasent plesent. It was difficult to sleep or relax. I ended up spending more time in weatherspoons which I learnt has a hotel attached with a better price on rooms

Liked · Paid Dublin prices for 2 rooms -1 night 460euro. No breakfast included. One of the rooms was basic twin room, the 2nd room a double bed and single bed room a lot nicer than the twin room. We will stay again as we generally stay on the hotels on this street when in Dublin for gigs etc however the price doesn’t match what we got! Cleaners woke us quite early literally just outside our door talking very loudly. The shampoo/ body wash both were labelled body lotion. Not sure was one shampoo and one conditioner they were stuck to the wall?? Car validation consisted of 12 euro off our 42 euro parking cost?? - last time parking validation put parking at 10 euro for the night?? Other hotels on the road with nicer rooms etc have better car validation.

As a group, we have stayed at the Harcourt for the previous 20 years for the 6 nations rugby. On this occasion, the whole of the City was busy as it happened to coincide with Paddy's Day Bank Holidays. Last minute changes to our booking were ability & smoothly dealt with, via email, by Paul & Joeleen (the sales & marketing managers) at 21.00hrs on a busy Paddy's night. I checked in 10 of our group at 19.30hrs on Friday night adeptly by Magda on reception, she had already efficiently check in 6 of our early arrivals from the group, 2 of which ate an enjoyable meal in the hotel restaurant.
The Harcourt Hotel appears to have come through the COVID very well (near continuous cleaning/sanitising of the surfaces and doors, and mask were worn behind the reception counter) the Staff are well trained, are polite & proficient in the bar area and at breakfast. We won't hesitate to use this hotel again, and also the local bars at Devitts & Foleys, and are counting down the days for our next visit in 2 years time.

This hotel is in a good location in Dublin, walking distance from most tourist areas with good public transport connections outside too. Check in was fairly straightforward, we were a large group so it took a little while. I stayed in a triple room in a separate building from the main hotel, which was fine, it was literally next door. The room was an average size with a double and single bed. Decor was very dated and the bathroom was small, however the room was clean and had everything that we needed, we were even provided with earplugs! We stayed on the weekend and the hotel was quite noisy, a combination of music and loud guests. Despite this, I did sleep fairly well. The rooms could do with an update but the price we paid was fair for its location. Breakfast was very nice with good service. The hotel has a lovely bar area with a decent choice of drinks. Overall a good stay.

Hi Timothy If you stay Thursday-Sunday it will be noisy. We stayed Monday-Wednesday and didn't hear any noise. Dublin is a city for eating & drinking so expect some form of noise wherever you stay in the city. Famous for its Stag/Hen parties. Great transport links with a tram stop outside. Getting from the airport is easy just by a travel pass from the airport which covers you for the journey plus busses and trams during your stay a 3 day pass is just €19. Don't bother with the more expensive airport shuttle as the standard bus drops you of 200 metresfrom the hotel ask for stop (Kels Corner) Wifi was fine just don't expect to be able to down load large files. Regards Nigel
