Perfect location for Connolly Station and Busaurus: due to Covid we travelled by car this time and hotel's arrangement with Irish Life mall worked perfectly. Tram, bus and Dart trains are within two minute walk but a stroll into the city along the Liffey Quay is hard to beat if the weather is fine. A couple of minor hiccoughs on our visit were sorted without fuss by very pleasant FOH staff - all were exceptional. Housekeeping and dining are still limited by Covid but we were happy that precautions were/are being taken.

I've stayed here for work a few times mainly due to the room only rate and the location close to Connolly Station.
If you know what you're expecting it's fine; the bed is pretty comfy and any room I've had is a good size.
The bar food is grand (one veggie option) and if you're not expecting 5 star for a 3 star price then it's just what you'd imagine!

I've stayed at this hotel about 5 times. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location next to bus, tram and train station. Hotel is a bit old and could probably use a renovation. But the rooms are always very clean and a decent size. Breakfast offers typical Irish breakfast with sausages, beans and scrambled eggs and also fresh fruit salad and all the regular stuff.
Since it's an older building, rooms are not very well soundproof. So you can hear if someone takes a shower, closes the door etc.
Fair prices!

I am actually writing this review as I lie in room number119 unable to sleep (for a second night) due to the paper thin walls and creaking ceilings in this hotel.
The first night we were kept awake by the person in the room above who squeaked, creaked and dropped objects as they consistently paced around their room before ‘going quiet’ around 3am. What little sleep we did get was then interrupted at 7am when the pacing insomniac resumed their patrols, this time occasionally wrapping upon wall or doors.
On our second night (as I write this) the walking insomniac continues to pace around their room, squeaking floorboards as he uses his noisy bathroom facilities or whatever, but to be fair he is a little quieter than last night. Unfortunately, tonight the noises are amplified by a group of loud and obnoxious English guests who insisted on shouting as they walk the hallway, banging doors and are currently and incessantly talking loudly at each other within their adjoining room. We can literally follow the conversation of one of the men who never seems to shut up…
I am reluctant to give negative views on this platform and regret having to give one about the Beresford, which is a clean and conveniently located hotel, is reasonably priced and has friendly staff. But parts of the building are old and appear to have had their bathrooms tiled by a child. I can tolerate minor inconveniences and occasional issues however the excessive noises radiating from (apparently) all adjoining rooms and corridors means that we will never again stay in this hotel (despite being frequent visitors to Dublin) and I cannot recommend that any one else stay here - unless you are a heavy sleeper.
It is now 2.30 am. The room above has now gone quiet but the loud guest still has not stopped talking, I will try to get some sleep before checking out in a few hours when I will be glad to leave.

Hotel is in a central location , unfortunately that’s where it finishes, male when checking in needs to learn some manners, our room was basic but clean , breakfast was just ok for €25,found the staff extremely unhelpful had to interrupt their conversation in their own language , for the basics like butter and milk and on both occasions we were told where to find it while sitting at our table, they weren’t busy as there was only ourselves in restaurant at the time.

The hotel lobby is like a waiting room, no tables to leave scalding hot tea on, the bar closed abruptly, everyone was told by the barman to leave immediately with drinks to the lobby where he thought , we were all going to fit still amazes me , a little heads up that the bar closes early and we wouldn’t have rushed back, anyone attending any shows or concerts chill elsewhere!

Lastly, you get a car park reduction if, YOU ASK at check out ,for either of the 2 car parks close by. Irish Life being one!

I would definitely stay here again. For the price (185 double room only on a Saturday in December) it was perfect for a good nights rest after busy day shopping and concert. The staff were so friendly. Breakfast was delicious and the location is 2 mins walk to Connolly and 5 to the centre shopping areas.

Hotel location is very good, close to Dublin centre, Trains and Bus stations and exhibition area.
However our room was very basic and a little tired to say the least. It was very noisy, on a summer evening when you need the window open for cool air, the sound from the train station were disturbing. The room we were in suffered from very creaky floorboards in the room above, every turn and step was heard throughout the night.
The hot water for a shower was non existent (it was 6.00 am )
The hotel insisted on taking a further payment of €100 in case of any damage to the room, I was hard to see how?
We paid over €300 for one night, i can't help but feel as there was a large exhibition and concert on that evening that we were ripped off!
I am not a hotel snob... but felt the need to repeat what i said to the staff upon our departure

We have passed over your comments to the relevant departments for review. I stayed at The Beresford for 10 days and found it to be a gem of a hotel. My room was spacious and had a lovely view. Great location, I walked the city from there. The staff was friendly and helpful and always smiling. The bed was very comfortable and the bed linens always crisp and fresh, bathroom spotless with a great shower, towels thick and fluffy. A special thanks to Robert for booking me the most beautiful room and to all the front desk staff for making sure I knew how to get to my destination every day. Thanks also to the amazing chef Trish and to Daniel, who made me feel comfortable as a solo traveler. Thank you all so much I will never forget my stay at The Beresford Hotel Dublin.

What a lovely hotel, friendly staff and perfect location.
A friendly welcome at reception and they were happy to help in any way. The room was clean and spacious and offered all the necessary essentials. Breakfast was served in a unique dining area and there was a choice of full English/Irish breakfast, fresh pastries and breads, selection of cereals and fresh fruit and yogurts and the waitresses were polite and happy to help. I will definitely be returning to this establishment on my return to a great city. Thanks for making us feel welcome Dublin!

On arrival:
Only just arrived. Not too happy if I’m honest. Room not very clean, none of the lamps work and wires are all broken which is a safety hazard, bathroom mirror is broken, the room is like a hot box it is so overwhelmingly warm and no air con. This was supposed to be for our 3 year anniversary although I’m not too sure how we are going to be able to relax.

After leaving:
So we have now checked out and thank goodness for that. I paid for late check out (2pm) when booking the hotel but we ended up checking out early anyway as we needed out ASAP. I woke up with swollen, bleeding, crusty lips due to dehydration with how warm it was in the room despite having a 1L water bottle beside me, that ended up warm too. It was colder outside and nice and cool in the hallways of the hotel than in the room. This hotel should really invest in some air conditioning. I couldn’t get a wink of sleep I felt as I was suffocating I ended up hysterically crying. As someone with autism this had my sensory issues through the roof. May I also add that there was numerous flys just is swarms all around the hotel!! All in all I do not recommend! There are far cheaper and more luxurious hotels right in the centre beside O’Connell street that we’ve stayed in as we typically come to Dublin 1-2 times a year. This really has disappointed us.

If I could recommend a hotel that I swear by, it would be Academy Plaza Hotel!!! Check it out :)

Yes, there is, but they are anchored to the inside drawer of the desk in the room and a bit awkward to use. You cannot unplug them and move it either. So if you are really tall they won't work for you. I learned the hard way.
