We had the best time at the Maranatha house, and so enjoyed talking to the hosts. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous. We had balconies and really enjoyed our time watching the rabbits and listening to the birds. Everything was very clean, and the breakfast room was delightfully decorated The hosts pay attention to every detail and show an interest in your trip. We would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone staying near Blarney.

We visited Ireland from the US. When I saw the photos I immediately wanted to stay here & booked our rooms. When they day came for our arrival I began to worry - what if it’s not as good as it looked? Well, that was a complete waste of my time. This was absolutely the best lodging we experienced throughout our travels in Ireland. The rooms are very large and absolutely gorgeous!! Even better in person than in the photos! When I show photos to my friends they all say, “you actually got to stay there?” which always brings a huge smile to my face. They provide a tea kettle and a selection of teas and coffee in each room. The sunroom where breakfast is served is delightful and the perfect place to start your day (along with the delicious food). The antiques and paintings are beautiful and have some great stories behind some of them. Olwen and Douglas are the perfect hosts and made us feel welcome the moment we walked in the door. There were other guest there during our stay and they introduced us to each other and encouraged us to sit in the gathering room, enjoy complimentary tea and snacks and get to know one another. It was just so very welcoming and appreciated. We met some wonderful travelers and shared tips and experiences with each other. It is obvious that the hosts genuinely enjoy their guests and treat them so graciously. I truly did not want to leave Maranatha Country House and hope to return in the future. Next time we will definitely stay longer!

If you want modern and impersonal this is not the place for you ….. but why would you when you can stay in this beautiful traditional Manor House with the warmest of welcomes from Doug and Olwen.
We stayed in the regal suit and it is exactly that regal ! The biggest jacuzzi bath with an abundance of bit water and the biggest comfiest bed ever !
Breakfast was amazing and plentiful and genuinely not nothing was too much trouble, the owners and the rest if their team were attentive without being intrusive and made sure we had everything we needed.
I know I said nothing modern however the wi fi and smart TV are the exception 😂
The grounds are just stunning too

You deserve every success as you really do go above and beyond and we could r have wishes for a nicer place to stay

Our hosts were friendly and extremely helpful, great people indeed. The house is a most grandiose with its enchanting arrangement and its lovely views of the garden hiding in the woods. The breakfast is a feast in a lovely breakfast room. It is plenty, diverse and tasty served on luscious porcelain. I wish I could be back there soon.

We stayed here for two nights and three days and it was really wonderful. Olwen and Douglas are very kind and attending hosts, genuinely interested in us as guests and they did everything to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Breakfast buffet was large with many options, room was huge, clean and beautifully decorated.

This was an amazing place to stay. Near Blarney castle. The rooms were fantastic. The owners just charming. Beautiful grounds. They had plugs for both 220 and 110 was well as usb. Beautiful garden sun room for breakfast. We recommended this place to friends who are coming to Ireland for vacation shortly.

It has an old world charm with an almost regal feel from the moment you walked through the front door. While I prefer something simpler, the decor here may appeal to those who like a royalty atmosphere ! Room was very quiet, though no lift to upper floor.
Breakfast was substantial and hosts were very friendly.

A hidden treasure on a hill in Blarney. Staying here is a bit like stepping back into the Victorian Era! That is all thanks to Olwen's attention to detail in the decoration of each and every room in the house. My wife and I spent two weeks in Ireland and this was our most restful and relaxing stop. The grounds are quite impressive! You'll likely see many bunnies enjoying it as much as we did. Be sure to ask Douglas about his car collection!

A wonderful guest house set in magnificent grounds. Our hosts were hospitable and gracious. The decor was something else, an eclectic mix of syles providing a real wow factor. We had the Champagne room which was extremely spacious having a third bed and its own balcony. The only slightly negative comment relates to the cooked breakfast which was pre-cooked and somewhat limited. But overall, to be recommended!

Any room that my 14-year-old gets excited over is tip top in my book. The drive into was gorgeous. You walk in and feel like you're stepping back in time to a very modern early 19th century Victorian house. It's with a 5 to 10 minute drive of Blarney Castle and gardens. The Garden was well maintained and absolutely stunning. The house was. There's no words. It took my breath away. We stayed in the Rose Suite. I would to go back and spend a few more days there.
