Arrived at grange manor and was greeted with a nice lady on reception. She held her call for me to fill out some forms. I was allocated room 304 in the annex around the back. The room was very spacious, table and chairs and large bathroom. The bed was a little small for the room but the confines totally made up for this, slept like a baby ! The rooms are a little dated which I guess fits with the manor type building, however other areas of the hotel seem a bit more modern so maybe a revamp may be due. I felt the room was clean and a pleasant stay. I had tea at the cook restaurant attached and was amazing ! The breakfast was impeccable ! We were served by Connor who was extremely attentive. They had a buffet of cereal and pastry etc and plenty of cooked options. I had the vegetarian breakfast which was served in around 5 minutes. Overall great stay would 100% return.…
Excellent value for money . Staff couldn’t be more helpful, nothing was too much trouble . Restaurant had great ambience . Great location , near the Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel. Good breakfast and fabulous breakfast waitress . Will definitely return .
Overnight stay, DBB. First of all, in agreement with previous review, almost died at the price of a prosecco, £9.95!! have never paid that much even in better places in Glasgow. The hotel is supposed to be 4 star, and is obviously charging 5 star prices, but it is no more than an average 2 - 3 star in terms of service and rooms. Room very dated and dark, tiles in bathroom grubby, no nice touches like toiletries or even biscuits on tea tray. Wi Fi very intermittent! Did not know before arriving that dinner was served in restaurant outside of hotel, so make sure you have a warm coat to cross over the carpark on a winter's night! The meal however in Cook's restaurant was lovely, and the girls serving in there were friendly and efficient. Breakfast in morning in Rosie's tearoom was disappointing, not plated up very attractively, and very greasy. We had a Sunday night deal, so it was okay for what we paid, but I wouldn't rush back.…
Today with my friend we went for afternoon tea at the Grange Manor. We have been for many afternoon teas in the past I have to say the sandwiches and cakes were just average .However staff especially the lady who was on duty were very attentive but I was slightly horrified at the price of a small bottle of Prosecco £9.95 !!!! Don’t think I have ever paid that for a glass of Prosecco even in Edinburgh so was slightly disappointing!
I booked in here at late notice with my father and the staff were all very good, polite, attentive and yet not intrusive. Whilst they were all good the barman in particular was excellent. Chatty, nothing was too much trouble and whilst not on the menu he made me fresh coffee and sandwiches as we both preferred a light bite. The food in cooks was excellent the portions were very large, certainly value for money. Rooms clean and tidy. The breakfast I consider cheaper than a lot of hotels and whilst everything was fresh I personally would have preferred slightly more choice from the buffet (wider range of fruit and yoghurt) and from the hot menu although there was a veggie breakfast perhaps the option of a veggie breakfast roll so there was something hot but not quite a big breakfast. Would stay again.…
