Be aware if staying in Premuim rooms on 6th floor the shower is anything but powerful. Reported to reception who stated its a known problem as its on the 6th floor .Reading concerns re lack of water pressure from last year thought I would report issue to Head Office . Not convinced it did any good and no doubt future guests looking for the advertised Powerful Shower in the Premier Inn general advertising will be disappointed when staying on the 6th floor

Hotel's Favorite
What a wonderful experience we had. From the very first interaction with reception who took our bags into the storage area until our room was ready so we could go and explore the town. The room was very clean, the beds were very comfortable and there was no noise AT ALL from other rooms. Very happy with the whole experience.

The window had been covered with a opaque film, so had no idea whether it was day or night or what the weather was doing. I asked to change room but the hotel was fully booked. Due to the fact of not being able to see outside I suffered badly with claustrophobia

The location is perfect and the staff is great. The internet functioned poorly. The room was not serviced at all during my stay. The staff told me during check-in that if I wanted something I should ask. That was apparently meant literally as nothing further was provided.

Stayed in June 2022. Was on the 5th floor, literally couldn’t hear a single thing from outside. Room spacious enough The air con worked and could easily be cold enough. Expensive for what it is but hey, aren’t all hotels in Edinburgh ? Location excellent can’t get more central

Pros. Location and restaurant (dinner was good. We had to leave too early for breakfast). Cons. Room quality. When we got to the room there was a random towel by the door. Thought it was odd but put outside door. It was stuffy in room and unusually warm in Edinburgh so turned on AC. We only had a few hours to explore so when we got back, I closed the door and noticed a mushy feel to the carpet. I looked up and there was a panel moved in the ceiling and water was leaking onto the carpet. Took picture, went to front desk, nice young lady came up and said it was an AC leak and turned it off. I expressed dismay at the stuffiness of room as well as lack of towels (since I used them to try to soak up leak) Her solution was to give us more towels and a fan. We thought a new room should be offered but it wasn’t. Since had to catch a taxi at 3 am we didn’t have energy to fight. But really, completely unacceptable that you would knowingly rent out a room that already had major water issues. Not good. Would not recommend

Stayed here for work. A good quality premier inn which seems recently refurbished. Great location in the centre of Edinburgh opposite the castle. Breakfast was great and varied. Only downside was the temperature of the room. The AC is controlled by the hotel which is strange, and it says central control on the screen. This meant I didn’t sleep very well as was too hot, on an unusually hot period in Scotland. The staff said they had some problems and rarely used it due to Scottish weather, but you shouldn’t advertise AC if it doesn’t work in the hotel

We had stayed in this hotel several years ago so had little hesitation in rebooking based on previous experiences and we were not disappointed on this visit. Although Edinburgh was crowded and our visit coincided with the first rail strikes we were pleased to find the Hotel clean welcoming and a major contribution to our stay.

Stopped here for 1 night and had my first experience of a Premier Plus room, for the views alone would pay for this, great view of the castle, but did see they have Premier Plus rooms that wouldn't have this view so worth asking for it in advance if possible. Upgraded toiletries, coffee machine, free water and some small chocolates, plus fridge, all added to making a very comfortable stay.
