This hotel is tired and very confused in its branding . We were given the smallest double room hardly big enough to swing a cat . It was well worn. The bathroom door was cracked and split . The toilet wouldn’t flush and the retro fit air conditioner unit inadequate. Breakfast was self service buffet but also table service where you could order the same stuff . Not easy to work out what to do . The food was OK but this hotel needs investment

Had a two day stay with my mum. The hotel were really helpful in giving room advice when we booked. Our room was spacious and clean, plenty storage space, seating and a small balcony. The bathroom was huge with a tv built in. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice of hot and cold, a mix of self-service and order from the kitchen. All staff we dealt with were helpful and friendly. We had both dinner and afternoon tea during our stay both of which were excellent. The grounds are great for a walk. Well located for getting out around the local area. Look forward to visiting again.

After being badly let down by another venue Norton House arranged my daughter and son-in-law’s wedding in less than 3 weeks. Their professionalism and outstanding service from all staff provided us with a day to remember. We thank them from the bottom of our heats for giving them the best of everything; absolutely outstanding and completely flawless from start to finish. Thank you all so very much. We are eternally grateful to you and would recommend you as the perfect wedding venue without a doubt. Please pass on our appreciation and thanks particularly to Laura and Wiktoria.

As a frequent visitor (for meals & accommodation) it was a somewhat disappointing experience for the Mother's Day afternoon tea. We had a 4pm booking and I don't know if that was a reason for what we were offered up but, sandwiches were a bit stale and not everything was available from the menu (e.g. ham & prosciutto mini brioche replaced with coronation chicken, not even close as a comparison). Cakes and scones were lovely though. It also seemed odd to be told there was no green leaf tea left, so just a green teabag instead. None of these are massive issues but not we've come to expect of this, normally, excellent establishment. As always service was absolutely first class and the surroundings are lovely. Wouldn't stop us returning but just left with a little sense of disappointment based on previous visits.

I'd like to start by saying that the staff members at this hotel are just great, and the food is delicious. However, this past visit left lots to be desired!! The room had low ceilings, and an awful view of the bins. Room did not smell fresh, and toilet smelled of urine. Little to no sound proofing, woken up by chatting in the hallway, and lorries outside at 6:45am! Towel rail didn't work. But the most frustrating part was not having Internet reception or a TV signal! Ruined the stay. Best to check everything first, and request a change of room if possible.
