Room was very small, however it was clean and warm. Shower was excellent! Downside was having to go up and down a few steps to access our room from the lift, not very good for anyone dodgy with legs or on walking sticks? BTW I am personally fine! Also there were dirty glasses left on the floor opposite the top lefthand lift on 2nd floor for 3 days we were there? Surely the cleaner(s) must have seen them?

Hotel's Favorite
Check-in was seamless and quick. Very nice and helpful staff. We stayed on the 5th floor overlooking hunters square. Room was very quiet. Bed was really comfortable. Hotel is very central and just off the Royal Mile and close to both the Castle and Museum. It was wonderful to see the city coming back to life again. Now is a great time to visit. I really enjoyed our stay in this hotel and intend to come back in the near future. Very enjoyable experience.

Our second stay at this hotel did not disappoint. Friendly, efficient staff provided great service. Very convenient for Edinburgh centre and the Royal Mile. Rooms a good size and very clean. Some road noise if at front of building and window is open.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay, and we’re really impressed with this hotel. It’s really central for the royal mile, the castle, and just a short by steep walk to / from Princes Street. The hotel was spotless, I would love to know how they get their taps and showers so sparkling. Our room was a perfect size for the two of us. We were lucky to receive a complimentary upgrade to a square view room. I personally didn’t hear any street noise, it their was a sigh by the bed to say earplugs were available. I’d say after a day sight seeing you would sleep so well that you wouldn’t need them. The only thing we did hear was the piper playing each morning at 10, which I thought was amazing. Breakfast was great, and set us up well for the busy days sight seeing. Altogether a perfect stay

We went to Edinburgh for a 4 day family reunion. We arrived a few hours before we were supposed to check-in. But the very courteous girl at the desk was able to let us check in early. That was great as we had travelled for quite a few hours to get there. First impressions were excellent, as always with Ibis hotels. I have used them all over Europe and they never disappoint. The foyer was warm and inviting, with a small bar area at the front looking out in to the square. The room was also warm and cosy, and spotless too. Breakfast was very nice, self service buffet style. Plenty of choice, hot or cold, and a continental selection if you liked that as well. All in all a pleasing stay at the Ibis Edinburgh. We will be back someday and will definitely use the Hotel again.
