Stayed for 3 nights for wedding anniversary and birthday celebration. Booked a castle view studio and on arrival discovered we’d been upgraded to a suite on the top (4th floor) with gifts of drinks, snacks, and a congratulations card from the hotel staff team - a lovely gesture which was greatly appreciated. Hotel has everything you need and more, and all staff were lovely, warm, welcoming and friendly every time we saw them. Castle views from lounge and bedroom were fantastic, and we had simply the best time and will definitely return to the Wilde Grassmarket - thanks to all for a great stay. P.S. Hotel is in an excellent location for everything in the Old Town and a short walk from exploring the New.

What a wonderful stay at the Edinburgh Aparthotel. A fabulous location with lovely staff and everything you could anticipate needing. It was well priced and perfect for a short break. Well worth thinking about if you are dropping your youngster(s) off at university and also want to make the most of the city break

Absolutely loved the Wilde Aparthotel! We stopped in early in the day to check our luggage and the entire hotel staff made us feel welcome and engaged in lots of conversation and recommendations. We returned after thoroughly exploring the city to find we’d been placed in a room that had an amazing view of the castle from both the bed and the couch! The whole place was very clean, the bed was lovely, there was an espresso machine in the kitchen, which was necessary for the long days, and plenty of space between the studio to move around amongst ourselves. They have a bar and self service pantry for any late night drinks/snacks you might need, and a good gym next to a laundromat that we definitely took advantage of.

Great room but so many minor issues all to do with staff training or lack thereof, such as disregard for basic hygiene, inability to follow basic instructions and unhelpfulness. If that sort of thing doesn't bother you, I recommend Wilde Grassmarket for very short business trips but nothing more.

All the good things first Great location down the bottom of Grassmarket near the castle and about 15 min walk to princes street Comfortable beds and everything you need in the room for a lovely stay Love the tech in the room and all the little touches good quality products and facilities Great little pantry of food and snacks for that midnight munch When we called reception for decaf tea it was no trouble at all, delivered with a smile Just the things we experienced Did online check in but that didn’t hurry up the process, when we arrived only one member of staff dealing with high numbers of people so had to leave bags and come back an hour later not ideal as we had to be at a reservation so was tight on time Housekeeping had left litter in the room but it was clean and well stocked just clearly in a rush to turn room around Bathroom door didn’t close properly Privacy curtain broken Would certainly use again and found staff to be friendly and professionally just that extra touch missing to make it 5/5 for us but would still recommend…
