We stayed here for 3 nights to attend our daughter's graduation. The room was clean and the bed comfortable and was adequate for our needs. The shopping centre is nearby and the hotel is on bus routes into the city centre.

We have literally got home yesterday and had to come straight on and review this hotel absolutely amazing from the min you enter the hotel til the time you leave !!! the staff are amazing so friendly throughout your stay but a big shout out to clare on reception she is what customer service is all about !!! It is so nice to see a friendly face after a 7 and a half hour drive and she was that !!! She bent over backwards to make our stay pleasant along with the other staff members . She Helped us out with buses to and from the city centre even popped outside to show us where the bus stops are . We have stayed in a fair few travelodges and this one is definitely my favourite huge thank you to you all and we will 100% be back very soon 😊

A reasonable hotel within a bus ride to the town centre. There is a shopping centre nearby. The rest of this is just to make up the 200 characters because the area is un-remarkable but pleasant enough.

It's taken three years following covid to return to Cameron Toll but the ethos on customer care hasn't changed. It's one of those places that's staffed by human beings Melvin, Jamie, Claire and others who empathise and generally care about those who visit. Edinburgh however has changed, once you've taken advantage of the super frequent buses that run past the place straight into it's heart, you'll find! Expensive pubs and expensive restaurants because everything seems to have stepped up a gear in price. In some case it's an absolute joke, Unfortunately Jenners has also closed...disaster! Princes St is now dotted with the usual High St dross that exists everywhere else in the UK. Exceptions being CW Sellors, Laings and Vacheron Constantin. Setting back the Christmas market by a week was the final nail in the coffin for us, that and some total moron who'd vandalised the Born Free Sculptures. This shouldn't have been left on for longer than 24 hours, but that's civic organisations for you these days. As a result of the cost's It's no surprise Wetherspoons are heaving in this city! And that's where the catering at Cameron Toll surprised us enormously. One night we bit the bullet and ate in, the food was spot on. We'd already had breakfast and that was superb being now the wiser we ventured upon the evening meal. My wife had the Bâtonnets de Poisson en pain brioche avec frites :=) (Fish Finger sandwich with chips}....You know you want one! Steak pie with mash, peas and onion gravy for me!!! Kinckerbocker glorys for desert and two course for £12.75 each. In light of the rip off prices in the city this place has become even better value. The food isn't Michelin. it's value, tasty and edible! The very restricted beer range is on the whole better value than in the city as well, again with the exception of the likes of Wetherspoons. It's not all perfection though, we were missing a freshen the room card when we arrived so we missed a day of housekeeping, However that was sorted out pronto! The chairs in the rooms are not the epitome of comfort they're hard and unyielding. The sofas and soft furnishings in the bar and dining area have had it! Read this review. do not change what you do fantastically well, improve on the above and don't get greedy like so many in the centre that I feel will possibly price themselves out of existence, not everyone has bottomless pockets!
