I stayed for three nights. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. City centre and old town within approximately 15 minutes walking distance and you can walk through a lovely park just underneath the castle giving you a lovely view. Would love to come again and can definitely recommend.
This is the perfect place to base yourself for a city break. This is our third stay here. We stayed 4 nights in a bigger room. Staff are efficient, friendly & helpful. Check in was swift. Rooms are immaculate. Beds are so comfortable. It was lovely & warm in the rooms with a temperature control on the high tech headboard which also controls the lights. Complimentary water bottles. Free tea & coffee obtained from the bar area. Black out blinds & a quiet location for a great night sleep. Rooms were serviced during our stay & towels were changed daily. Continental Breakfast is £5 great value. Haymarket Hub is our favourite place to base our city breaks to Edinburgh. It is close to Haymarket train station & the West End tram stop. However please be aware that due to the tram extension all trams currently terminate at West End at the moment (Feb 2022) & do not go into Princes Street & beyond. However the buses are just as reliable. Top tip: Download the Lothian Buses transport Edinburgh app to get you where you want to go. To visit the Royal Yacht Britannia. Walk 5 mins to Morrison Crescent for a direct bus (number 22) to Ocean Terminal for Royal Yacht Britannia. Journey is approximately 40 mins. Day tickets costs £4.50. Buses from Haymarket run into the city centre every 5 minutes & on return from Princes’ Street try to get a bus to Atholl Crescent it’s the closest stop to the Hub & the one before Haymarket. We regularly eat out near the theatre & York Place. There is a bus stop straight outside the Vue Cinema at Omni Centre which will get you back to Atholl Crescent. It is a 5 minute walk to the top of Princes Street from the Hub. Walking to the Castle along the Castle Terrace straight onto the Royal Mile is the quickest route to the Old Town, Royal Mile & Castle. Enjoy your stay here. We do. Highly recommend.…
I stayed at Hub by premier inn haymarket Edinburgh for 2 nights but it turned into a terrible experience as there was no hot water for showers entire my stay and i was given a disabled room. I was even asked to go look for anyother hotel we will refund you the amount . Plus my room was not cleaned despite asking them to. Thats not what was expected during my leisure trip. I would never recommend anyone for staying at Hub anywhere. Horrible experience
nice bed & TV, some free movies. dirty carpet; no glasses in toilet for holding toothbrushes; the shower was down for a few hours, and even after the shower was resumed, there was no hot water at all, we have to use cold water for showers, which was very unpleasant
Hsd an amazing stay at the hub! Lovely rooms, great service and had an amazing continental breakfast😊 Was close enough to walk to the castle and Princes Street! Will be back and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to visit Edinburgh!
We stayed here for 3 nights visiting Edinburgh’s attractions and it is a great location for the castle and other central sights. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I would have liked a kettle for a morning cuppa - but complimentary drinks are available on the ground floor. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel continental breakfast was very good; fruit , granola, yogurt and pastries.
Comfortable and excellent storage. Hi tech control of lighting and temperature. Good work space . 24 hour drinks station and lovely breakfast included porridge. The compact rooms resemble ship’s cabins really. En-suite spotless with soap and shower wash. Hanging space and under bed storage. Vegan options on menu. Staff stored my oat milk in fridge as the option provided was soya milk. Very very handy for conference centre EICC. Will definitely return.
I had a “bigger” room, but very comfortable, great shower and nice decor. Very quite on the 5th floor, despite very central location. Breakfast basic but nice. I like the limitless tea and coffee in the bar area and that you can take this to your room (though no facilities in room to make tea). Double bed was actually two singles together which was a little frustrating.
The Hub is a good quality budget hotel which is very handy for Haymarket station and exploring Edinburgh. The room was great with a really comfortable bed, big shower and smart TV. Staff are very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast is good value at £5.
We spent 14 nights at The Hub by Premier Inn Haymarket during our 21 day trip to Scotland and found the hotel to be a good value for the money and the location easy to get to all parts of the city either by foot, Uber, or Hop On/Off bus. The Hub is not a luxury hotel and it doesn’t pretend to be, but it is clean, safe, quiet, and the employees are fantastic. While we would have appreciated additional pillows and a top sheet on the bed, the room was adequate. A bit small for two people, but doable. That said, USB ports on both sides of the bed would have been extremely helpful and a dedicated light in the bathroom (not controlled by the unit above the bed) would keep from disturbing others at night. Breakfast offered a good selection although more protein selections would be appreciated. We did eat from their dinner offerings a couple of times when we had long days and it was adequate. What really set this hotel apart from others that we stayed in on this trip were the helpful employees who gave us suggestions for places to see and things to do. Lindsey was a wealth of information and always greeted us with a smile and a hello. Gemma was equally friendly and had suggestions for places to dine. Both Gianluca and Vanessa were kind and helpful with anything we needed. Keep in mind that housekeeping does not visit unless you ask for it (not a big deal for us) and the staff will give you new towels if you ask for them. Overall, we felt that we made a good selection of a home base while in Edinburgh and would stay there again.…
