A little late reviewing. Me and my partner stayed in April for just the one night, it was out last night in Scotland after travelling for the last two weeks. The staff very kindly got us an upgrade and sorted extras for the room on short notice! The room was beautiful. We also stopped for dinner and were looked after fantastically by Amy and Danielle (if I remember correctly?, Sorry if I haven't!). They even went the complete extra mile and managed to find my boyfriend some waffles for breakfast (his favourite). Real amazing hospitality and made us feel so comfortable and looked after. Would recommend and return!

My sis in law booked this hotel based on an event we were attending at Caird Hall that evening and arriving into Dundee Train Station that day. The location of Malmaison Dundee was absolutely perfectly located for both Dundee Train Station and Caird Hall, both being within 3/4 minutes walk. The hotel itself inside is quite dark as that seems to be a running theme of Malmaison Hotels, but having never stayed in one before, I didn’t know this. We had booked a standard twin (Room 519) on a Bed & Breakfast basis. The room itself was perfectly ok for what we needed as we were pretty much in and back out again for dinner and then straight onto the event. There’s some great air con in the room as it was pretty warm the weekend we visited and the room was pretty stuffy. The twin beds themselves were super clean and extremely comfortable with crisp white sheets and a really cosy mattress and a snuggly duvet. Perfectly located TV to watch in bed too. The only thing I would add here is the bathroom is very dark ! Breakfast the next morning was absolutely delicious ….. choice of continental breakfast and cooked breakfast if you wished and help yourself to tea and coffee. The tea is from a machine and was dreadful. Much prefer it from a pot. All in all a pleasant stay.

Arrived late and exhausted. My room was overlooking a very busy and noisy Dundee nightlife. Asked reception if I could change to a quieter room, if possible. They had a couple of options that they checked first to hear which was quieter. Moved me seemlessly. I’d ordered a late supper, which they then gave me on the house because of the inconvenience caused. This is going beyond my hopes and expectations, and having not slept well for most of the week, really meant a lot. Consequently, I got a great night’s sleep. Thank you so much to the friendly, super helpful and thoughtful staff at Malmaison Dundee

We stayed here for a week and felt completely at home (if not better). Room was beautiful, the view and location were amazing and we were made to feel very welcome and that nothing was too much. We had a 3 year old with us and the staff couldn’t have been more fun and accommodating - especially at breakfast which was delicious and plenty of choice with both the continental and cooked options. Kerry and the lady who spoke Spanish went out of their way to make sure she had a pleasant experience (and that the Nutella stayed stocked up). Highly recommend and we will be back!!!

Very welcoming staff at reception and in the bar area. The room was a club room and was a nice size. Plenty of mirrors and sockets. The chocolates were a nice touch. However .. The bathroom shower was appalling. I didn’t even want to get into it in the morning as it did not look safe for a person with a vulnerable immune system. I did get into it but it wasn’t pleasant. Hubby had a flannel wash as we were just driving home anyway. There was just no excuse for it. The tap on the sink seams to be fitted too low. It made it very awkward to do things in the sink. The toilet needs some maintenance as it kept running water after flushing. We didn’t report it during our stay as we figured out how to get it to stop every time by pressing the button in slightly. We ended up at the bar after eating out. The staff helped us find a comfortable seat and the drinks and atmosphere where good. Overall I would not stay in this hotel again.
