A great feeling to see the old jute mill has had tome tlc. Its years since i have seen this building which was crumbling and badly neglected. I hoped that one day it would be converted into apartments or hotel even if to preserve this grand old buildind. IHG have done a fantastic job with it seems no expense spared. The rooms are very spacious and tastefully finished. Really enjoyed my stay here

Decided to stay in Dundee as we had never stayed overnight before. My husband found this as it is marketed as dog friendly. As usual I treat this with a little scepticism as usually you are provided with poor rooms. On this occasion I was delighted to find I was entirely wrong in this assessment. Upon checking in the staff could not have been any more welcoming and advised we had been given a free upgrade on our room, which we did not request or expect. The staff gave clear instructions on the care of our dog whilst we were there. All entirely reasonable and what we would expect. We arrived on the Wednesday to be advised between 6pm and 7pm there was a free meet and greet with the staff and free food and drink provided. We attended and all staff were amazing and friendly. The free drinks were welcomed and the food was plentiful. The room itself was spotless and spacious and far better than expected. The bed was one of the comfiest we have experienced during our many weekends away this year. At breakfast, both hot and cold options, we were able to bring our dog to a room set aside for guests and their pets. As we were able to do the previous evening at the meet and greet. The room was spotless and welcoming to both us and our dog. This is an aspect we did not expect as we usually have to put her in the car. I had read some nonsense reviews regarding parking. We were informed of a local council run car park that was approx 100 metres from the hotel. This cost about 10 pounds per night as you only had to pay between 0800 and 1800. It is well lit and in a quiet part of town so the lack of security was not a concern. This low cost is what I would expect to park in any city. Also has the option to pay using an app so no need to run down at 8am to put more money in a meter. The staybridge is an outstanding venue with fantastic staff who are a credit to the company. I will definitely be back

Loved our first visit to Dundee, and the home-from-home that is The Staybridge. Site of a former Jute Mill and a listed building, the Apartments Block is an adjunct to Hotel Indigo. Our room was lovely, with a small lounge area, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom (with a bath, oh joy!). We had a fridge, microwave and dishwasher - there was also a laundry room and a Gym available on another floor. Breakfast was served informally in a large lounge area, with plenty of options, and take-away items to eat on the move if you want. They also had "social evenings" on Mondays through Wednesdays, with a free buffet and wine! Don't know what the occupancy rate was when we stayed, but our floor was remarkably noise-free and we slept very well. The staff were all lovely and seemed genuinely pleased to see you and help you - we got lots of good advice for places to go. I can't honestly say this is the best place to stay if you go to Dundee - but I can say that my wife and I won't be looking to stay anywhere else!

Great to hear we have another regular converted! Most people find the hotel quiet, guess that's the positive of such thick walls in an old building, we all love that too. Hope you managed to take up some of the teams advice and enjoy what Dundee has to offer. Look forward to seeing you again.

We had a great start when they let us park the Tesla in the electric bay and borrow a trolley for all our bags. Really friendly check in by Alice. Room 202 was a lovely suite with a kitchenette at the entrance then a small lounge, through to the bedroom and then to large bathroom with a very good shower over the bath. Lovely level of finish and the décor was in shades of grey with fabulous bare brick ceilings. Photos of its history as a jute mill were a nice touch as well. The Wi-Fi was excellent and there were loads of charging points by the bed etc. First night we had takeaway meals from Daisy Tasker: chicken korma and fish and chips, both delicious and piping hot. Breakfast had an excellent choice and we liked the option to take it back to the room, although we only did that once. The evening social with wine and beer plus generous food: pate, cheese, crisps etc. was a fantastic idea and a chance to chat to the hotel managers informally. The location is quiet and a few minutes walk from the centre and the waterfront - and has a new Marks & Spencer food hall opposite

Had a long term stay at the Staybridge Suites due to a family emergency in Scotland. The staff and service could not be not be faulted and we were treated to first class accommodation and food. The welcome was one of the best myself and my family have experienced anywhere in the world and the manager and her staff could not do enough for us, truly outstanding hospitality and a very convenient location for Dundee city centre, thanks to Dianna and her team for making us feel so at home at a difficult time, Mike Ford
