With Sleeperz Dundee you couldn’t ask for a hotel in a better location overlooking the River Tay and the V&A. Our room had everything we needed for an overnight stay and was clean and comfortable. The staff were all really friendly and ensured that everything from pre check-in to discounting our parking was well organised. Dundee is excellent for vegans by the way. Try Serendipities for lunch and Loco Rita’s for tacos and frozen margaritas. Both are only a short walk from the hotel
My husband and I stayed at Sleepeez Hotel Dundee in October. The hotel itself wasn't bad, although more expensive than the Premier Inn. If you have booked this hotel, or intend to, please don't eat there. After waiting over half an hour for food, what a disappointment. My meal was send back 3 times! I ordered steak pie, mashed potato and veg. The food was cold, sent it back. Then I put gravy over my dinner, but the gravy was cold. Hence I had a cold dinner again. The waitress was very helpful, but we were both embrassed. The next dinner came out, he must have put the pie in the microwave as I couldn't even cut it! Disgusting. So I ended up paying for a plate of mashed potatoes. Sorry I can't remember what I paid. Even the vegetables were not fresh, they seemed to be very watery, as if they were using frozen veg. The pie was like something from a hot food bar, not good quality. Please don't waste your money and eat somewhere else…
We loved our stay at Sleeprz, our first experience. A spacious clean room looking on to the Tay, 4th floor. The staff were all polite, friendly and very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. We arrived early as the rain was dreadful and our room was ready so we got an early check-in. We were so grateful of this. Breakfast was hot and plentiful with lovely coffee..!! Pina colada in the bar was fantastic. I can't fault anything with Sleeperz and would definitely return as the location is first class, next to the V&A and Discovery. In town I recommend the Secret Bar and the Phoenix.
I had a recent overnight stay here and liked the hotel. It was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast buffet was fine and had plenty of choice. Special mention for the reception staff on the night I stayed. I had some noisy guests in the room next to mine playing loud music at 2AM. One quick phone call to reception and it was stopped promptly. Well done. I'd certainly consider staying here again.
Good hotel in a very central location. Our room had a view of the V&A and The Discovery which was lovely. The rooms were a decent size but the toilet was a bit tight. Only complaint is that the bar & restaurant had an all day food menu which wasn’t served at lunchtime. We never got to see a lunch menu but we did not eat in the hotel so no idea of choice or food quality.
