On arrival, smooth check in, rooms spacious & clean, on site parking but it costs £6 which isn’t too bad, on arrival for breakfast in the morning, lass met us on getting in to serving area, asked if we had any allergy issues or dietary requirements, breakfast good, seamless check out, wouldn’t hesitate to return.
We recently had a staycation for a few nights in the Hampton by Hilton Dundee. As Hilton Honours Diamond members we have stayed at lots of Hiltons around the world. This was our first visit here and we were very impressed having had a great stay at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and this is obviously a very well managed and operated hotel which we will definitely be coming back to for a future visit. The hotel is in a very good city centre location in Dundee, near to a lot of tourist attractions, restaurants and transport links. It was very clean and safe - rooms were spotless, giving you a lot of reassurance during these COVID times. Well done to the staff at hotel and thanks for a great stay.
Returned to this hotel as its well situated and comfortable. Room was a bit of a disappointment as no room to get round one side of the bed. Towel in bathroom also had a worn hole in it 3 inches wide, not what we would expect from a hotel with hilton in the title. Apart from that room was clean but felt quite small. Would consider returning but hope for better next time. Jim
Stayed here for three nights. Everything was absolutely fantastic and great coming back to a place we love to visit. Dundee is on the up and lots more things to see. Staff in here are wonderful but i must give a small mention to Simon. He was wonderful from start to finish , his dedication and love for what he does is clear to see and people higher up should be very grateful to have such a dedicated young man. If it was busy mornings or busy nights he was always around to take care of us. Our meal at night was first class but must praise the breakfast its the best breakfast we have ever had in this Hampton and the omlettes are a great addition. Keep up your good work and look forward to another visit at some point.
I visited here last night and the service was appalling, Check in was quick but took 30 cash deposit and card for possible damage. Room was ok but very basic. We went down on the evening for a meal and drinks, no table service at all even though very quiet. First drinks order was wrong and when we asked where food menus were we had to wait while 2 were printed off. The menu was very basic. I ordered food at the bar and when food came items were missing. There was no atmosphere at all very bleak. We went ba k to the room around 8.30 pm due to poor service. Through the night there was doors banging roudy people returning all through the night people knocking on our door at 3am We had a very poor sleep. In the morning before we went down for breakfast we went to make a coffee in the room we only had decaf coffee sachets or tea which was poor , The food and staff were fab great choice of food especially the haggis, very clean. We tidied our room and left around 9am the staff checked us out and returned deposit and rang us a taxi. I would not recommend this hotel. We have stayed in various other Hilton hotels all over the country and have never been disappointed this has been a one off.…
