My lads and I stayed here for golf at Carnoustie and Panmure. What a great room with a view of the links. We were able to check in early. We stored our luggage on the day of departure. We walked to the pro shop at Carnoustie and were only a 5 minute ride from Panmure. The hotel made this stop so easy. And the size of the rooms was perfect after a few nights of much smaller rooms. Very pleased and will see you in 2023!
The rooms were nice and well appointed. No air conditioning so needed to keep door/window open. Noisy in early mornings due to greens mowing. Mattress was firm. Breakfast very good. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
I stayed at this hotel and played the 3 golf courses. Our rooms were great, overlooking the golf courses. Great shower, very comfortable. All the staff are genuinely polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb, great choice, quick service. We had dinner one night at the restaurant, once again, really good food and service. The bar with outdoor terrace is very good. If you are playing the golf courses you must stay there.
Had a fabulous weekend here watching the golfers. The staff were the best thing about the hotel and everything was first class. Our bed was a double and we found it a bit small but everything else was exactly what we were hoping for.
We decided to make it a two night stay, and add a treatment or two. It was fantastic, yes decor and furnishings are a tad tired, but staff are wonderfully helpful and room was a good size. Felt very relaxed after treatments and had a great evening too
I highly recommend this place. Absolutely fantastic location. Rooms were spotless, staff were amazing. Loved my stay here. The staff helped give my sister the best wedding day and we can't thank you all enough.
Enjoyed a two night stay here staff were great and facilities were great Rooms are a bit tired but not a problem and ours was overlooking car park and not the golf course but the terrace was great where we sat with drinks
Hotel needs upgrading - holes in arms of every inside chair we sat in in Calders. Great Location, lovely walks along sea front and links. Service in Calders bar appalling - as we had a dog we had to sit at one of 2 tables for dinner, just outside restaurant (they wouldn't let dogs in carpeted area). This meant for dinner service we were basically ignored, drinks left on bar for ages before we collected them ourselves, ignored at dinner service, no one cleaning our table, or providing sweet menu, when they did give us menu, then just ignored us again. Eventually we just left. Service in restaurant at breakfast time was fine (no dog at that stage), but having a dog at dinner meant seated elsewhere and almost non existent service.
We returned once more to the Carnoustie Golf Hotel but this time with our extended family - a total of 14 of us! Our bookings were directly with the hotel and Janis was very helpful in arranging rooms to suit. It had everything we required - a beach and playground nearby for the younger grandchildren - a swimming pool for the older grandchildren and a bar and restaurant with a great view for the adults. The breakfast was good and staff were excellent. The putting green in front of the hotel was a multi generational hit. The barmaid made my granddaughter feel very special. I asked for some water and she suggested a "cocktail" I love when people go out of their way "just because" There is also a train stop close by to take you to Broughty Ferry and Dundee. Our room was a standard double but happened to be an "accessible room" so was quite large. A very nice stay.…
The hotel is faultless, staff are excellent, venue is unbeatable for a golfer. Package deal is great value and we were very impressed by both food quality and service. Fresh calamari! Well cooked and served
