There is a warm welcome in Glenmore but it does little to make up for the souless surroundings. To me the exterior especially the back looks most unkempt , paint cans outside room , timber , ladder and broken downpipes just lying on the ground. Our room was without any nice touches , no rug , sheets of the coloured variety which I have not seen in a B and B for years, The bathroom was fully functional but again no nice touches. Breakfast was adequate without being special. It is located in a glorious part of Ireland and I feel a little TLC could make it a lovely venue and justify the 130 euro for a double room .

We were welcomed brilliantly . And felt welcome . But after that went down hill . Every time I approached the lady working there . She looked at me like an inconvenience . After a while didn't bother . The location is class close to everything. . Be happy you have customers x

Where do I start.....initial thoughts to the guest house when we arrived was it seemed to be ok but not brilliant like other stays we have had at other places cheaper than this place. First encounter was the loose door handles as we entered the room and then the curtains coming off the rail. Very dated room and decor but the bed not so bad. The room also had a very fusty smell about it. Shortly after this, we realised the water from the bathroom tap was cold but we managed and when we left for evening to go out, there was no one at reception to report this to. The following morning, there was no hot water from the taps and then the shower. I called reception and she advised they would look into this and come back to us. No shower and I had to heat up water in the kettle to wash myself at the sink. When we went down for breakfast, when asked was the issue was resolved, we replied that no one had come back to us. She totally ignored our response. Breakfast was mediocre, have had better. Dirty cereal bowls and very small selection of cereals, nothing like what is shown on the photographs. At check out, I stated that we were not happy with the stay at all and requested that we get some sort of refund. The owner I am assuming, said all the switches were on and working for the water but had no idea where the issue was but he was not open to any criticism whatsoever and became very defensive. Offered a £10 discount to which I said was not acceptable. He then said, well take it or leave it and left the reception area in a huff. What a rude man! Never have we encountered such behaviour and such arrogance. My advice to anyone who is looking to book this place, please avoid at all costs. Please check out his responses to unhappy customers in booking.com, this will reassure you. I'm not one for leaving bad reviews but in this case, it had to be done. The money was not an issue, it was the principal of the matter.

We did not actually stay, however I thought it worth making an excellent review in the circumstances. We had booked, but had to cancel our entire trip a couple of days out due to an acute family illness. Despite being beyond the cancellation policy period, they agreed o waive the fee, I am guessing on compassionate grounds. I therefore recommend this business as customer friendly and ethical, which is not always the case, in todays world. We intend to stay if we get to go to Northern Ireland in the future.

We had booked 2 nights stay at Glenmore Guesthouse, arriving on Fri 13 May and departing on Sun 15 May. My partner and I had decided to take a well deserved weekend break to get away from the stress of the 9 to 5 working week and what can I say, we were not disappointed!! Upon arrival on Friday evening we were greeted by the owners of the guesthouse, who I must say where very pleasant and friendly.

We were then shown to our room and was pleasantly suprised with the warmth and cleanliness of the room. It felt like going into a room in a 5 star hotel, no it was actually better than a 5 star hotel. The room was so spacious with TV (Flat screen on wall) and tea/coffee making facilties. We then went outside to bring in our lunguage when the owner's young son had offered his help and having feeling slighty tired I took him up on his offer.

As we were feeling too tired to travel any further for something to eat, the restaurant in the guesthouse was perfect to setttle the hunger! The food was amazing and I have to admit, it was one of the juiciest steaks I have ever eaten. With the southing music playing in the background and the candle lit dinner we felt so relaxed.
Opposite the restaurant their is a small bar for people who wish to order pub grub. So you do have a good choice here. We then retired for the night after I had a lovely shower!

The next morning we got up for breakfast after having the best sleep off my life (beds are sooo comfortable). We both had went for the cooked breakfast and as the name suggests it was cooked! Not one of these people who just heat it up in the microwave. Everythinig was so fresh and the fry was delicious, I could have eaten another one!

After our first chat with the owner on our evening of arrival we were told that they also offer caravan and camping facilities so we decided to go for a walk and check it out after our breakfast (more so to walk it off). We were really amazed at the size if the site with areas for caravans and tents. They have a toilet/shower block on site for the campers.

Also they have two lovely fishing lakes and the walk around them was so peaceful and quiet. We watched one fisherman real in a whopper, it was great! We also explored the wonderful carvings presented around the grounds which were done by the owner's brother. We then went on our way to explore the nearby towns and attractions.

Later that evening when we arrived back to the guesthouse we decided to eat there again as the meal the previous night was so delicious. While we were being served our food , John (owner/chef) invited us down to the bar later that night as his 2 daughters were playing some Irish Traditional music and what a treat that was!! One was singing and her voice should be on the X Factor!!!! After a few pints of the black stuff and the good craic we retired to bed!

The next morning we did not want to leave the place. it was so peaceful and quiet. we could have stayed another 2 nights!!! We will definetly be returning very soon!! An excellent place and very much reccomended as the hospitality received was brillant!

Glenmore House B&B was great. It is located on the main road to Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge and the Giant's Causeway. Though it is on a "main road", there is so little traffic that noise is not a problem. The house is on 95 acres with fishing ponds and beautiful wood-carved statues around the property to explore. A beautiful view of the ocean can be seen from the front of the house. The owners are so warm and friendly. They will give any help they can to make your stay enjoyable. They even have a small restaurant and bar in-house (very good fish and chips). Overall, this was an excellent choice for us.

I stayed 2 nights in Glenmore house on April 21th and 22nd, and what can I say, it was well worth it. From the moment I arrived, I received a warm welcome from the owners of the guesthouse, which was nice. I was then showen to my room and it was lovely, very clean and comfortable. There's also a resturant within the guesthouse, so I had something to eat there. The food was really nice and the service was excellent, recommended if you are to stay. Also the owner's daughters played some irish music which in my book was a big bonus. They were really good, another recommendation if you are to stay at Glenmore. Overall Glenmore Guest House is a beautiful place to stay. Very friendly and welcoming and they would make sure you are well looked after. Would recommend it to anyone. I will no doubt booking in again very soon.

My family stayed at Glenmore for two nights the kids loved the family room as it was next to the play area, and they loved the two small pony’s, the people that run this Guest House are so friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and spacious with tv, hair driers and facilities to make tea and coffee, the reception is more like an Hotel than a guest house and is very impressive on entry. we had Irish music played for us on our second night with a demostration on how to play the Bodhran, I was very interest in this, as I had just bought one at the Giant's Causeway.
Also there is a choice of 4 breakfasts, but try the traditional Irish as soda and potato bread is served and not many other places serve this with the breakfast, this Guest House will not disapoint you and is an ideal location for visiting northern Ireland.
