Hotel is very close to the centre of Belfast, only a 10minute walk to the City Hall. Room was serviced daily with clean towels and the staff were friendly. We weren't bothered atoll by any of the surrounding bars or the noises of the city, albeit, we were on the 6th floor. The rooms are basic with the shower enclosure being built in the the room, only the toilet had its own space, we asked for and were given a hairdryer and some extra pillows, as the bed was made up with one each on a double bed, the flooring was a bit dirty as it was laminate rather than carpet. Pool table in reception was great but the tvs were muted and no music so quite a dull experience. Breakfasts are continental only.

Hotel's Favorite
The ETAP (Ibis) is a great budget hotel in Belfast, close to all amenities including the Great Victoria train / Europa bus station. (5 min walk from the hotel). Our rooms were small and basic, what you would expect from a budget hotel - but were clean and had all that anyone would need for a short stay. Hot drinks are readily available on tap in reception 24/7; as well as them serving alcoholic beverages during licencing hours. Pizza was also available 24/7 at the great price of £7.75; and Breakfasts, although we didn't partake, looked to be great value for money. We found all staff to be very friendly, helpful and efficient, and we really enjoyed our first stay. Would definitely stay at the Etap (Ibis) again.

Stayed here for two nights with my son and brother. Check in wasn’t the best. Front of house staff were obviously too busy to try and appease us. Hotel was next to a noisy pub but to be fair we were on a high floor so it didn’t really effect us. Room was clean enough although a little cramped for 3 but we knew what the situation was so no real complaints. Hotel location was a positive and the check out was swift with no dramas. Would use again if in the area for a night and the price was reasonable.

I stayed here for one night with my daughter. We had booked an accessible room, which I hadn't realised, and it was small but had a separate bathroom/wet floor shower. The room was clean, but the beds are very hard, and you only get one pillow. You also have to ask for a hairdryer from reception. The room is painted a very dark blue and the tiny window opened onto the wall of the pub next door so it was very dark and didn't give any natural daylight. No kettle in the room, and whilst it's free downstairs, I didn't want to go down at night in my pyjamas or get dressed to do so. We paid £8.50 each for breakfast, which sadly wasn't worth the price. It was fine for one night but I wouldn't want to stay for longer.

Overall value for money. However my partner and I were very upset to find that our souvenirs had gone missing from our room on the Sunday morning after housekeeping had been in. They weren’t worth a lot but that isn’t really the point. We didn’t have time to rebuy before we left. We did bring this to the attention of the staff who said they would check with housekeeping but have heard nothing since. I wouldn’t stay here again. It’s not worth the risk. Plenty of other nicer hotels in/around Belfast city centre.

Stayed here for 2 nights after first arriving in Ireland. After reading previous reviews was a little nervous it might be rowdy being next to Filthy McNastys. Didn't hear any noise from the bar. Our room was not directly facing the bar side, it faced the front road side, but also didn't hear noise from the road. We went to the bar and it was packed being the holiday season. We were a bit old for the crowd there but there was some hilarious people watching. This hotel is in a good location as it is very walkable to the downtown/city hall area where you can easily board the hop on/hop off buses. The buses also have a stop right outside the hotel. The hotel is in the "filthy" district with a lively night scene and some great pubs with live music. The famous crown pub is in easy walking distance. Location worked very well for us and what we wanted to do. A huge benefit was a very close paid parking lot so we didn't have to search for parking for our rental car. The room was compact but well laid out and clean. The bed would be the only complaint as it seemed very stiff. There is always access to free tea and coffee which was very nice with it being so cold outside. The staff was all very nice and helpful.

Room Tip: If concerned about noise from the bar, ask staff for a room that doesn't face that side if possible.

arriving early before check in the staff were happy for us to leave our cases with them so we could take a wander around the area then return at check in time. Quick and efficient check in, 2 door cards which was helpful and everything you needed for a short stay. Would have preferred tea/coffee making facilities in the room but these were available in reception for free. Didn’t have the breakfast so can’t comment on that. Hotel centrally located and just around the corner from the bus station. Happily Paid £2 per case to leave at hotel after check out as we had a late flight home. Would definitely recommend this hotel if it’s a no frills stay you want

The stay at Etap hotel was beyond perfect, from the Check in with Manuel, who welcomed me in the most friendly way, to the night receptionist Gerard that was really kind and and treated me with white gloves during all my stay.

Hotel located right in the centre of Belfast. Very easily accessible. Rooms were basic but just what we were looking for. Beds were comfy. The rooms were a bit small but they were very clean. Staff on reception checking us in were lovely and we had an overall pleasant experience. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 starts was that we didn’t have a TV remote in the hotel and had to ask the reception for one and the bathroom was a very weird layout with the sink being located outside the bathroom and only a couple of feet away from the bed. All in all was a nice hotel and I would stay again if I came back to Belfast.
