The hotel was amazing room was very clean reception staff was so nice and very helpful very child friendly I went with my cusion and my 2 children and stayed 2 nights for both my child and cusion birthday room service was amazing and even sang happy birthday I wasn't keen on first floor restaurant menu due to my kids being fussy so wee ate in bar and the food was beautiful and staff so kind and helpful couldn't fault this place in anyway would highly recommend staying with or without family
Room was lovely and comfortable. Staff was lovely and helpful. Pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna facilities were great. Dinner in the river bar was lovely chicken wing starter, chicken burger and brownie dessert was great. We got Breakfast included had a good selection. Fruit was lovely and fresh. The hot breakfast was alright sausages and eggs were nice but bacon was hard and the black pudding was so fake and rubbery. The small bread rolls were hard too.
We booked my parents into the hotel for a birthday present, the room was amazing We also went for a meal, the food was amazing and the staff went over and beyond and we had a beautiful booth. I would highly recommend this place, so relaxing 😌
IHG chain hotels are going downhill fast and this is another on the way. Rooms are nice enough and clean, however hotel is massively let down by food and beverage situation. I booked this hotel out of group loyalty. It’s in the middle of nowhere but boasts 3 restaurants….only one of which was actually open on the night I checked in. The one that was open was the river bar. River bar has a VERY limited menu. On top of this it was chaos. I sat at a dirty table for ten minutes and during this time I wasn’t even acknowledged nor the table cleaned. I left and ordered room service. Room service food was ok. Breakfast….I am beginning to feel that IHG chain hotels have a minimum requirement for what the group believe should be offered at breakfast. Most seem to just about meet the minimum. Unlike many other hotels there is nothing to delight at breakfast. Just the basic cereals, poorly cooked hot breakfast. Every hotel seems to have a chef that doesn’t understand how to cook the fat on bacon. This hotel was no exception….it’s a crown plaza serving possibly the most uninspiring breakfast I have seen in a while…the bear minimum… I doubt I would stay at this hotel again…Belfast has many others.…
We travelled to Belfast for an ice hockey tournament and I chose the Crowne Plaza as I am an IHG member. The hotel is excellently located and I have to commend Madelina in the front desk for ensuring that our stay was exactly what we had expected. She went out of her way to ensure everything was in order, thank you very much.
Arrived late evening , check in was really welcoming just what you needed after a hard day travelling Allocated club room on 2nd floor Extremely good facilities for business traveler , great desk with plus points and also usb Very well equipment bathroom Large king size bed Dined in restaurant , quiet but attentive staff great menu just lacking caloric values for me Gym extremely well equipped with pool Parking on site free - Normally brand loyal to Hilton but swayed with free on site parking Overall would book brand and hotel when next in Belfast
Booked the hotel for a last minute treat for my family to celebrate New year's Day with the intent to enjoy a nice relaxing swim and meal. The family room was spacious and nicely decorated however the sofa bed was very uncomfortable and lacking for the 4star price. The swimming pool and foyer were both very cold which took away from the pleasure in both areas. The river bar was a very nice atmosphere, great service however aiming for the last treat of the Xmas period we booked to eat in the upstairs restaurant, big mistake wish led we had of stayed downstairs. The menu was very poor in the choice of Indian cuisine, the service very slow and poor for 4star in fact I had to get up and enquire as to where my desert was 30 mins after it was ordered. Three of us ordered the tikka Masala which tasted nothing like tikka. All in all there are better hotels in Belfast to choose from. Disappointed with this hotel.…
Highly recommend this hotel after a lovely night away here. Check in was quick and easy. The information sheet given at check in is very informative and came of great use. The room is very tastefully decorated. We had an excellent night sleep. The bed, duvet and pillows were very comfortable and we heard no noise the entire night, The hotel as a whole was spotlessly clean. A special mention to Rio in the restaurant who was warm, welcoming and friendly. We love that you can mix and match from the spice menu and the traditional menu. The food was exceptional!! Breakfast was very busy but the chefs were constantly putting out fresh food and there was an excellent variety of hot and cold options. We throughly enjoyed the use of the spa during our stay and especially like that you can make use of these facilities even after check out. It was a nice way to prolong our stay at the Crowne Plaza. We will certainly be back! …
This was my first stay even through have lived in Belfast my whole 37 years. Staff were absolutely fantastic throughout during all interactions. A very special mention to Maggie in the restaurant, couldn't have been nicer at breakfast, a credit to the hotel. We stayed for New Years Eve with no real plan so just had a relaxing time, availed of the business lounge which given then time of year was just being used by us. It was nice to just relax. Breakfast was superb, very well presented and both chefs very pleasant. Potato bread done perfectly. After breakfast we took a walk down to the Lagan River and walked a 1.8mile loop. Nothing too challenging but really pleasant. Enjoyed late check-out and again magnificent staff. Already booked again for February.
Very disappointed with my treatment by staff regarding payment. I booked and fully paid for 2 nights upon arrival. I booked a 3rd night through reception on the 2nd day and was told I could pay later or tomorrow. The next day my key card with disabled without my knowledge and while standing in reception after the swimming pool wet and with my young child in a towel I was told I needed to pay now ie in order to get the key to the room. I was absolutely shocked by this. I was given the key card reluctantly and I told them we would come back down and pay. Some time later they rang the room again stating I needed to pay NOW Hotel refusing to confirm their policy requires full upfront payment and told me verbally the reason they were chasing my imediate payment was because someone walked out of the hotel without paying and a receptionist was made foot that bill. General manager has told me like all hotels they require swipe of card....which they already had from previous nights....and thats not at all what I was told. I was told I needed to 'pay now'. Have had no reply from the hotel requesting comment on their full upfront payment policy and why I was told I was to pay as a customer walked out without paying. Have received no apology other than- manager is sorry if I FEEL it was handled incorrectly. I dont need anyone to apolpgise for my own feelings. Girl on reception seemed more sorry. Iv no issue paying for a hotel stay before, during or after but I absolutely have an issue not having being communicated to properly regarding payment policy, being told I had to pay now while standing wet in reception, having the room called and being told to come down and pay and finally a ridiculous reply from the general manager whos sorry for how I feel. Really crazy client treatment and not to the standard of IHG.…
