This was our second visit to the Harrison. We are in love with this hotel and can’t wait for our next visit. We decided to stay for two nights on this trip as wanted to ensure we enjoyed everything thing the hotel had to offer. This time we stayed in the gorgeous John Hewitt room. The decor was top class and the tub in the room was amazing. Melanie was the perfect host and we loved all the changes she made since our last visit. On our first visit we stayed in the gorgeous WB Yeats room. We are looking forward to our third visit and picking a different room to experience. A big thanks especially to Katie who was very friendly and helpful and we had great chats with at the hotel bar. Thanks again to Melanie and all the staff. Until we meet again. Jim & Fionna
This Wonderful Overnight Stay, was simply the Best place, I have ever stayed in Belfast and I have stayed in many hotels in Belfast before. Melanie, what a beautiful person to be greeted by. Her lovely nature, made us feel very welcome and very special too. We arrived very early, with the only attention to leave our bags off, so we could attend our Daughter's graduation. The wonderful person Melanie is, she made us a wonderful pot of tea, with delicious mince pies; while the finishing touches were made to our room and that was more than 2 hours early for check-in. The Room we stayed in, was the 'Ruby Murray Suite', situated at the front with an amazing Bay Window. In the room, we had a Fantastic Four Poster Bed, with a free standing bath with lovely pieces of antique furniture and our own mini Christmas in the room too. The bathroom, had a fabulous 'Rain' shower and stocked with lovely toiletries. The breakfast was brought up our room, which was absolutely delicious. I can't highly recommend this wonderful place enough and we would definitely stay there again! Thank You so much Melanie…
Awesome - really lovely place - superb staff and owner - loved every minute of the stay - perfect balance of breakfast and evening chillout over a jar -superb location near belfast but just out of the way Thank you
I was looking for place to stay for the weekend and the regular boxy hotel room just doesn’t cut it for me. I’m sucker for all things interior and boy, oh boy this place did deliver it. Every turn I found something to gawk at. I filled my camera reel with memories to enjoy for a long time. We stayed on the top floor in the bohemian Swift room, I felt right at home in the cute ornate and I must add very comfortable bed. Shower is something to write home about, absolutely amazing! Staff, and Melanie herself, just could not do enough for us. Everyone is so friendly and attentive. Breakfast was like everything else, simply superb-attention to detail with the fabulous crockery made the breakfast extra special. Next time I’m visiting Belfast I’m not wasting my time scrolling the net - i know where I’m staying again!…
We stayed for one night and will be back. The hotel is in a great location for Queens and the Botanic area of Belfast with fantastic restaurants and cafes nearby. The room we stayed in was very comfortable with good quality toiletries. The complementary breakfast was delicious. The lounge area served complimentary tea and coffee on arrival and in the evening. The Hotel celebrates historical and musical figures from Belfast and wider Northern Ireland with each room having a story to tell. The hotel has an Arty design that captures the imagination and the staff are friendly and welcoming. A delightful stay.
Fantastic ambience. Very personable, helpful friendly staff. Check-in seamless, complimentary coffee delivered to our room within minutes. Decor quirky. Loved the record player in room. Toiletries good quality. Towels too small. Pillows hard, uncomfortable. Breakfast delivered to room, nice touch . Excellent quality produce, well presented. Good variety. Would recommend Harrison, although the area sadly has declined in recent times.
I can't argue with rooms named for writers and other historical figures associated with Belfast. Hotel had a good balance of history and modernity within; the downstairs bar/cafe was also a fine place to spend time. And the staff were uniformly friendly and helpful.
We had a fabulous weekend at The Harrison . We were visiting Belfast with our friends for the Ulster v Sale Rugby match . From the moment we arrived at the hotel , until we left on sunday evening , we were looked after fantastically by Melanie and the Team. Our room , the Van Morrison , was quirky and so comfortable . Nothing was too much trouble , from booking taxis to letting us use our rooms , right upto our taxi arriving to take us to the airport . We were certainly made to feel part of The Harrison family . The entire Team are a credit to Mel . We will certainly recommend The Harrison Chambers of Distinction to all our friends and to anyone who visits Belfast . Thank you guys , we will be back Nick and Tamsin Lawson January 2023
I booked the hotel after seeing great reviews and loved the concept of the rooms having an individual style. The location was also to my liking with free parking. The welcoming was nice and the lobby was warm on a cold afternoon. The parking was difficult to find but adequate in a graffitied alley to the rear of the premises . It felt like a run down area of town. No direct access to the hotel from the rear was available so it meant a long carry of luggage to the front of the building. The room was a suite with a beautiful bay window , period features , a roll top bath in the room, antique features including antigue radiators and 2 chaise longue. It was beautiful. The negatives were as follows-this is not a budget hotel therefore the expectation is that comfort is included with the decor. The windows were single glazed sash , original which is fair enough but the expectation is that inner glazing would be provided for insulation and noise reduction. The room was very noisy and very cold . The bedding was of poor quality with terrible pillows. Premier Inn pillows and bedding are much better . WIFI is available but no TV. Discreet positioning of a TV can be done in a period property . Never before have I been to a hotel without a TV . The concept of the hotel is brave , it is lovely, but not worth the money at this time . The eco friendly carbon friendly 'Wild about Ireland ' shampoos and other products are made in Italy .Sums up the place really.…
Warm welcome comfortable, delightfully individual quirky rooms and sustaining breakfast. Staff are always helpful and personable. Discreet parking close to Harrison's is a bonus with a straight forward walk int city centre.
