We stayed here for 2 nights it was clean& comfortable.we had a lovely breakfast which is good after a night on the town! Handy for pubs&clubs only a short taxi ride away& a great price! Just what we were looking for 😊
Paid £80 for a double room not even a toilet in the room. No sugar for tea/coffee and when asked owner quite ignorant. Breakfast times from 7:45-8:45 very early for a Sunday morning. Cooked breakfast... Definitely wasn't worth £80 as other reviewers have said pay the same money for a better hotel! Ps wasn't the cleanest either
As a lone traveller I found the location to be rather isolated. There are no restaurants, pubs, shops or attractions in the vicinity. There are many signs telling you what not to do. I felt like I was at a boarding house not a B&B. The one staff member I did meet was very pleasant and the breakfast was nice.
We stayed here for a Friday to Monday number and the rooms where spot on and with a decent breakfast in the morning to set you up for the day. The staff couldn't be more helpful and the b&b had a lovely feel to it.
The rooms very old fashioned, there was a shower just in the bedroom so you would need to be fairly intimate if sharing with a friend; en suite is so narrow you had to sit sideways to fit on the toilet! Breakfast nice enough but not the true ulster fry experience and you wouldn't need to mind sharing a table with other guests. The whole place could do with a bit of a makeover. Handy to Belfast if you're looking for a budget holiday but just dont expect any luxury!
Arrived for 2 night stay and found the parkview lodge opposite a lovely park with a lake. Lots of free parking outside. We were shown to our room which was on the top floor with amazing views of the lake and park. The room was clean and had everything we needed, tv, hairdryer tea, coffee milk etc. En suite bathroom was clean and had lots of hot water and complimentary shower gel. The breakfast was good and the owner and his partner was pleasant on contact and chatted. The only thing I found a problem is breakfast finished too early we are on our holidays so later till 10.30 would of suited us better. But all in all a pleasant stay.
Stayed for two nights with our 6 yr old. Fab park opposite. Great spot very local to our needs. Owners friendly nothing was too much trouble. Room great, shower a little temperamental but all very clean & comfortable.
Stayed here for 4 nights in June 2015 at a cost of £280 (390 euro) only because the local ibis was booked out. The owners should really try staying in one of their own rooms for a night... the bed was lumpy, squeaky and very uncomfortable.... I feel a visit to the Chiropractor coming on. The shower was lukewarm and in general the place was unwelcoming with notices everywhere telling you what not to do. On the other hand.. you get what you pay for - and the breakfasts were quite good the place was clean and and the owner seemed friendly enough.... I will not stay there again.
Hmm...what can I say! We were shown to our room and we were surprised! Small, creaky bed, odd shower in room (with extension lead underneath - unsafe?) toilet down stairs (can't believe any things out there without an ensuite!!) tea & coffee tray seriously lacking and no plug near kettle would have needed to plug in kettle under TV!!! (We didn't use it!) VERY noisy stairs and paper thin walls...every step I heard and EVERY visit to the toilet near us I HEARD too!!! Guests arrived back all night, latest at 3am! Breakfast uncomfortable, I asked to change a few things on my fry up and this was met with slight grumpiness! When it arrived it was swimming in fat and rather gross!!! It was a pleasure to leave but maybe it suits other people better?
My partner and I needed accommodation for one night in Belfast and as it was an unexpected trip we needed to do it on a budget! After reading the reviews of this b&b I must admit I was a little nervous about staying there! Much to my surprise our room was nice, clean, and the shared bathroom was immaculate. I will agree the owner isn't the friendliest but you don't have much interaction with him anyway so it's ok. Nice handy location taxi into the city was about £7 not so bad. Breakfast was surprisingly lovely! I would recommend it to people looking for a nice warm clean budget accommodation.
