We stayed Saturday night at Marantha House - we were unsure what to expect, but as soon as we stepped into the hallway to be greeted by a smiling Marion - we knew we had made the correct choice! It is a very pleasant - clean - well maintained property - nothing fancy - but very comfortable and VERY good value. Marion makes sure you are aware of the Covid restrictions and explains no kettles - hairdryers etc and is most apologetic even though its not her fault! What is lacking ion these few facilities is more than made up for by the lovely - fresh and generous breakfast served by a very pleasant young lady - with Marion cooking. Location wise - its a bit out of the city centre but taxis are plentiful and not expensive and the saving you are making far outweighs the need for a taxi. This B&B is a labour of love you can see if throughout the house and Marion is committed to giving her guests a very safe and enjoyable visit - well done. PS There is parking at the front which is really handy.…
A very warm and friendly welcome , the staff and Marion so helpful and have great local knowledge. The location for us was perfect and just a short distance to all points of interest. Our room was clean, warm and comfortable with wi-fi and TV. If you do stay here I recommend that you sign up for the cooked breakfast of a morning!... The perfect way to start your day in Belfast.
A recent visit to Belfast to pick a puppy up and we booked this hotel to stay. Mary was very attentive giving us a courtesy call before we turned up and was there to meet us showed us to the room and explained everything thoroughly. Took a great personal interest in our visit and took time out to chat. The room was clean and everything we needed just off the main city centre (20 min walk) and not far from train station and bus stop right outside hotel Breakfast was great a good selection and very attentive with customers needs making sure we had everything we wanted When we return to Belfast we would definitely Book here again
1. decent brekky. 2. good quality beds. 3. refurbed bathroom - my room had a bath. 4. friendly staff. no comment on parking - used taxi. no complaints here! slept really well. thanks for everything. great stay.
A delightful 3-day stay in this gem of a place which was safe, secure and a lovely walk just 15 mins from the city centre. Marian couldn't do enough to ensure I felt welcome or needed for anything. The room was spacious, spotless and warm. The breakfasts alone were worth staying for. Would definitely return!
We stayed for three nights in the lovely Marantha house. The staff were lovely, the food delicious and the rooms spacious and spotlessly clean. Close enough to walk to the city centre or hop in a taxi if it's cold. Marian was also helpful with local tips. Would highly recommend.
We found this place on a whim and it worked out perfectly. Incredible breakfast and very nice rooms. The house has a lot of character and the room we were in was modern and updated. I wish we had more than one night here! We had a car which worked for getting into town but it may not be the perfect location if you want to be downtown Belfast but don’t have your own transport.
Great location, delicious breakfast, large rooms, and the hospitality excellent. Marien will take care and help with any tours you want to take. More than willing to order taxis. Will reccomend you stay here!
This was the first stop on our trip to Ireland. It is not downtown so had to Uber it but that was not expensive. The house is lovely - clean, warm and comfortable. There is no lift and no a.c. but this is common in Europe. The hostess was warm and helpful. The room was clean and that bathroom had been updated. The best part was breakfast. There is a lovely dining area and the hot options that were offered were varied and delicious. I would stay here again.
Maranatha House was our first stop on this trip to Ireland. I must say it was a very nice place, the rooms are comfortable and clean. The lady that runs it was very kind. The breakfast is made when you order it and was very good. Don't be afraid of stairs if you stay here. There are 5 floors and no lift. We where on the fifth floor. Also do not expect A/C as that is also not common except in the nicer hotels in Ireland. Normally it is fine with a window open and a fan. If you drive with a car be aware parking is very limited. The bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked. it was a little on the firm side. All in all I would stay again at the Maranatha House and can recommend it.
