Great find if you want an affordable boutique hotel close to Belfast city centre. Breakfast is included in the room price. Rooms are tastefully decorated, comfortable and immaculately clean. Staff are so friendly and efficient. You certainly won’t get this level of service from the larger branded hotels. Tara Lodge is an easy walk from the city centre, with lots of coffee shops and diverse places to eat on its doorstep. This will be our base on our next visit to Belfast.
cosy and comfortable accomodation . Very good value. Location is only a few steps from train station and local amenites with restauarants and bars aplenty. The hotel is in the middle of a tercae of what appears to be mostly student accomodatiin.
I chose the Tara Lodge for a birthday trip for my partner for our 1st visit to Belfast. We had Room 7, a Signature Double. The room was spacious & very well appointed. Nice bathroom with a good shower & nice Orly Kiely toiletries. Comfortable bed, lovely bathrobes & quiet. Every detail was covered even down to a powerful hair dryer; something you rarely get in a hotel. We had a fridge & safe & daily fresh milk put in the fridge. Breakfast was simple but fresh. Nice choice of good quality hot food freshly prepared. Location was excellent. A few minutes from the Botanic Rd with its buzzy restaurants & bars & within easy walking distance of all the sights. We were able to store our luggage as we were departing on the night ferry and we liked the generous departure time of midday. Staff were all lovely. Very friendly and helpful; we were made to feel very welcome.…
Tara Lodge is a very comfortable, reasonably priced small hotel in downtown Belfast. We have stayed quite a few times over the years and it is always a pleasure. Room facilities excellent..and improving all the time. We had a signature room, quite spacious, very quiet and looking out over the city. The staff are always helpful and very friendly and there is a very good choice on breakfast menu. There are parking spaces too, most useful in a part of Belfast where parking is almost impossible during the week! Can thoroughly recommend Tara Lodge
Probably the best hotel/ guest house I’ve ever stayed in. Breakfast 10/10 and cleaning of the rooms 10/10, but the best thing was the quality of the staff - Eveann and her staff were absolutely fantastic - Grainne, Colin and Rebecka are just three I could mention by name. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. We’ll definitely be returning to Belfast and we wouldn’t consider staying anywhere other than Tara Lodge. As Tina Turner would say it’s simply the best Respect Paul Rebane
This hotel was booked purely for price and availability to begin with, now I would highly recommend, the hotel was immaculate and the hotel staff couldn't have done enough to make you feel welcome. The rooms were equipped with everything you needed and the breakfast was second to none, such a large selection. Nothing was too much.
We loved this place before we arrived. I'd contacted the hotel requesting a ground floor bedroom with accessible bathroom as my partner has MS and received a lovely email that could've come from a friend, They were so super helpful and attentive to his needs, it was clear from the get go, that this was a place that cares for its guests. On arrival we were greeted by Aaron at reception, who not only arranged taxis, gave recommendations on where to go for coffee, food, pints, but also printed off the rules for Ice Hockey so we could familiarise ourselves with the game before we went.
This is a great hotel ideally located for Belfast City Centre and also to take in a trip to Ulster Rugby. Open top bus stops nearby too. Staff were really friendly and breakfast was exceptional. Highly recommend
Just spent two nights at Tara Lodge… welcomed by the most smiley receptionist who could not do enough for us.. rooms were fabulous… the breakfast was to die for… the staff were so friendly and helpful and recommended some lovely places for us to visit… would definitely go back
Great place to stay. The hotel is located in rhe Queens quarter, slightly removed from the hub hub of the city centre but accessible by Bus or a 15 minute walk. The museum, and exotic greenhouses a short walk ( well worth a visit). Restaurants/ coffee shops only a short walk. We ate in Scalinis which too was excellent. The hotel gave us the warmest of welcomes, a good bed and great breakfast. Although we were only on a short stay, we were made to feel like Royalty. Would definitely return.
