So far not great. There are very few staff and they all seem young inexperienced and frankly in need of training. I arrived at 2.45pm to be told I would need to sit and wait as check in was from 3pm. I sat. I waited. At 2.55pm I was told my room was available and indeed no one had stayed in it the night before and it had been ready all along. Great start. Was directed to room. It was a self catering apartment across the road. 709. Got there no mention of Malone Lodge Hotel just nos. Got in took lift. No Room 709. There is a Room 7, Room 8, and Room 9! Tried them all. Key did not work. Called Reception. Waited some more. Housekeeping came and let me in to Room 9. It was freezing. I mean. See your breath on the air cold. Asked house keeper for a heater. We both tried to turn heating on. No job. She went for a heater. I waited. She came back without a heater. Her boss came too they were going to fix the heating. I was expected to sit in the cold. I pointed out that I clearly did not want to do that. One lady went to get a heater. I waited. Then I went to reception. Where I ..yup...waited. To be told the young man on receiption was far to busy to deal with me and I could ...yup...go wait!!!!!!! After 20 mins went in search of a Manager. Who ....yes indeedy....made me wait. She told me she was going to get me a very large warm room. She did not. She made me wait 20 mins and came back and told me my original room was probably warm enough by now. Zero compensation for my time, inconvenience or any thought for the paying guest. Who clearly will not be paying again. In warmish...room with my coat, 2 jumpers and a duvet around me..hoping it warms up quickly. Did I mention the banging..yes builders..repairs ?..no idea...no point in complaining as they would just make me wait until it stops....... If you want a warm room with a key that works and pleasant staff ...try another hotel..

The wooden window didn’t close properly. My breakfast sat for over 20 minutes on a hot shelf, was hard when I eventually received it. Maintenance woke us up by knocking on the wrong room door, as they incorrectly had our room number. All guests were told to leave the hotel bar at 9,30 without proper explanation. I complained verbally to staff that morning and with two unanswered emails.

Great hotel hop on hop off outside hotel, spotless room. Friendly staff, food great in restaurant and greyhound bar. Press the taxi button there in under 5minutes. Only downside for very hot in room but that's down to personal preference. Gave advice on what to see and do chatted made us feel very at home .

Very clean hotel, very friendly and welcoming staff especially Tony on the breakfast. The only downfall was the underground car park with all the stagnant water created an awful smell but only noticed when you parked the car. Other than the car park would highly recommend

Dreadful place. This could be a fantastic place if managed properly. The staff are so unprofessional. Ulster breakfast was poor.. Apparently you must ask for beans!! Yes cheers Scouse.. Absolute forgot my crystal ball as I should have asked.. Every day we had to go back to reception to reset our cards as they wouldn't work.. Final night we were locked out for an hour as we couldn't find any staff. Avoid folks..

We had a very pleasant stay the Malone. We were given the executive suite due to it being a family room. It was huge with all the necessary amenities. The bathroom was particularly impressive with a big corner bath and shower. The hotel itself is beautiful and despite some of the bad reviews we were not disturbed by any noise. We had breakfast included and this was lovely with plenty on offer. A particular shout out to Tony our host for most of the weekend. He was so friendly and attentive. You really noticed the difference when he wasn’t there. The only reason I’ve knocked the rating down is because the breakfast on the Sunday was cold and they got our order wrong. (As I said we missed Tony!) We also asked the reception to provide us with more tea and coffee and this wasn’t done. This certainly didn’t put us off and we will be back again.

Our stay at The Malone was a lovely place to be housed for our weekend in Belfast. On entry, the lobby was very spacious, the staff were very helpful and friendly. On arrival we had been booked into an executive room which we could only have for 1 night due to Lastminute.com mix up but the staff were very helpful in moving us for our other three nights to a suite room which was huge. The 1st room was more than adequate and the suite was double this size. Both rooms were clean and light, with comfy beds. The breakfast was tasty with a choice of both cooked and continental, Staff Toni was a lovely host as were the bar staff in The Greyhound. The food was delicious in this area and friendly staff too. Only con would be the showers could be cleaned better. Overall stay was comfortable and we would return.

We stayed here on Saturday 9th March. We were in room 102, an Executive Double room, the room was spotless. Room was warm and very comfortable. We ate in the Restaurant before we went out for the evening, the food and service were excellent, Daniel in particular was great. The Reception area was was very spacious and lots of comfortable seating. We had a few drinks in the bar, again the service was very good. Breakfast was a buffet style, with both cooked and continental food. There was plenty of choice, with tea and coffee also provided. Carpark was to the rear of the hotel, it was free and has plenty of spaces. A great stay at and excellent Hotel.
