Really enjoyed our single night stay at the Maldron - thank you. The hotel is centrally located, a short walk from the train/bus station and is ideal for those attending the local Opera House or Ulster Hall (as we were), and there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the locality.
The hotel itself is new, modern and really well furnished with a small bar and restaurant. The rooms are among the most quiet and comfortable we have ever stayed in (and we are fortunate to have visited many hotels), not a single sound was heard through the night and we were beside the lifts! The bed was very comfortable and the spacious room had all the usual facilities (inc. a hairdryer, ironing board and safe). The bathroom was large and clean with a great shower...
Finally the very busy reception and bar staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the bar staff who were good ‘craic’ when they had a moment to chat.
My new favourite Belfast hotel!

Had a very nice stay in the sense that the room itself was clean, tidy and bed was comfortable. The ice machines on some of the floors are a great idea as there are no fridges in the room.
The staff were brilliant and very helpful, we decided we wanted to eat in our room and ordered a takeaway, even though it was not food from their own restaurant they provided us with plates, cutlery, condiments and napkins, we thought this was a very kind gesture.
Unfortunately our room was directly opposite a very noisy building site so we had a rather rude awakening early on Monday morning and couldn’t open our curtains or window as we had workmen staring in!

Both myself and my son headed to the Maldron 5-7 July. Check in very easy and all guidelines re covid adhered to. I booked a twin bedroom which was extremely clean, comfy beds and pillows. Air con very good. Shower is great with 2 different settings could of spent hours in it. Tea coffee kettle hairdryer safe in room. There is no problem in requesting extra towels if required. We took the breakfast option booked in for 10am. I do note a contributor comment re breakfast but be assured noting is to much for the staff on breakfast duty and if you require anything they are more than happy to please as per my own experience. Breakfast its self was very good couple of different options including vegan. We had the bacon sausage egg ect. On the second morning I went on my own but the servers were more than happy to put my sons in a takeaway box to be consumed in the room when he finally awoke. On this occasion I did not have lunch or dinner but have returned since where we did and will review that stay later.
The hotel is very centrally located with shopping restaurants bars all with in easy walking distance. Train station 10-15 walk or 5 min by taxi.
All the staff the we encountered were very professional and courteous and for some potential guests who may have covid concerns the front line staff were all wearing there masks and always conscious of there guests surroundings.
I would definitely recommend the Maldron to anyone that I know traveling to Belfasf.

Partner booked for us to stay here on new year's eve. Upon check in we get told that we are getting a better room with a wet room instead of a normal bathroom with better views blah blah blah making it all sound great.

We get up to the room open the door and get hit with a foul odour, it literally smelt like soiled nappies.

The wet room is just a disabled bathroom, you cant use the shower because theres a big metal chair in the way. And the over all cleanliness of the bathroom is disgusting, it also smelt, the floor was dirty and stained, as was the shower curtain.

I went down to reception and explained that the smell in the room was horrible and we wanted another room, the girl said they didnt have any other rooms but would have someone up to clean right away.

We left for a few drinks to let them sort it out and when we got back to the room it still smelled like soiled nappies.

I MYSELF had to go to the tesco Express around the corner and spent £10 buying and electric diffuser to leave on in the room while we went out for dinner.

When asked the next day at check out how everything was I repeated all of this to the man asking. Although he did say they would have to look into this, there was no real apology or offer of compensation for it. We left feeling like nobody in the place really cared.

Extremely disappointing stay, we wont be back.

Disappointing stay in the Maldron hotel Belfast.

When you arrive, there will be no car park attached to the hotel so you will have to drive to a car park and pay an additional £12 for 24 hrs. It’s a 5/7 min walk back to the hotel with your bags. Reception staff didn’t have a map of route to car park and advised me to “google it”

Once inside, the room was clean and temp controls helped us to stay comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities are provided (no fridge or mini bar) and large modern shower in en-suite.

Unfortunately, we had someone repeatedly knocking on our door at 3 am. This terrified my daughter and I so we rang reception and waited with the lights on to hear back from reception that the offender had left. Worst nights sleep ever!! Reception never followed up. We sat up bleary eyed before dozing off in the early hours. When I enquired at reception the next morning was told that they had looked but couldn’t see anyone. Really feel someone should have phoned us back to tell us this as we were too scared to open the door to check for ourselves.

As for the food; waiting staff very friendly and breakfast was good. Dinner in the evening was a lack lustre affair of cardboard pizza in a grey corporate space. Local restaurants provide better food, value and ambiance.

Dear bapkin, Thank you so much for reaching out to us regarding your recent stay with us at Maldron hotel Belfast City. I am sorry to read that we let you down during your time with us – this is certainly not the level of service that we aim to give our guests when they are staying with us. I am so sorry to hear that we were not able to offer Map to Car park and i have addressed this issue with team at front desk. I am very disappointed to hear about some one knocking door at 3 am and absolutely agree with you that Night Manger should have phoned back for reassurance and i assure you this was addressed too. Despite the poor experience you had, I do hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back for a much better experience as I can assure that we are much better than this Once again, please accept my apologies. Stay Safe!

Stayed here for 2 nights, excellent location for visiting all Belfast attractions (Titanic 30 minute walk and city centre 10 minute walk). Our first experience of a hotel during Covid and we were so impressed, masks worn by all staff and guests, one way system through reception and rooms sealed by housekeeping before arrival. We were not nervous before travelling but were reassured by all the precautions the hotel is taking. We used the hotel bar, the staff serving were excellent and very friendly. Reception staff also couldn’t do enough to help. Very modern, clean and well maintained hotel.

Rooms clean and spacious, bathrooms neat and tidy.
Room service not available 24/7, bar closes early even for residents, only one paper cup per guest in rooms, I think the paper cup alone was an insult considering dining in an upmarket city centre hotel, it definitely was not for recycling as there was no specific bin, lifts very busy at check in and check out, staff were lovely at check in and check out but this hotel suffers due to the sheer size of the place.
Breakfast was sold out as well, I think rooms are great value but I think location of hotel makes it feel like the hotel does not trust their residents to have a drink in a residents bar or even a cup of tea in an actual mug in the room. No biscuits in the room either which would be lovely touch but again it seems like hotel is going for the cheap buck of hotel rooms affordable enough for young people out on a sesh and because of this reason this hotel will be disappointing to alot of people

I'm just back from a 2 night stay in the Maldron Belfast and I really feel let down by the entire stay. The hotel is modern and centrally located but that's about all of the positives I could find. Check in is at 3pm, absolutely none of the rooms were ready and the reception staff kept telling people it would be about a 20 minute wait, which would have been totally fine. We dropped our bags and went off shopping. 2 hours later we came back to find the rooms were still not ready and to take a seat in the overcrowded lobby. Eventully at about 6pm, we were given 1 room and told to wait there until the rest were ready - it was another hour before the other 2 rooms were ready which meant is was almost 7pm by the time we could get settled. When we did get to the room, there was no covid cleaning seal on the door, the remote and phone were very clearly not cleaned and there were fake tan marks all over the walls and the chairs. It's also a very busy and very noisey hotel all throughout the day and night.
The pick up pint for those boozy bikes is right outside the door of the hotel so if this isn't something you're into, maybe avoid this place.
The rooms are not serviced if you are staying for more than one night and you have to use the app to order fresh towels/toiletries etc. You can also check in and check out on the app but it crashes consistently so it's likely you will still have to go to reception to get sorted.
There is also no room service menu and the beds are very uncomfortable.
On the plus side, it's one of the very few hotels I've stayed in with an ice machine and air con.
Overall, I was very disappointed and would not stay here again.

The hotel is in a good location and within walking distance to shops and public transport. The staff are nice, and we were greeted warmly by the receptionist. The room we stayed in was a little small for a "deluxe" room (compared to other Maldron's we have stayed in) for a four-star hotel. Our room wasn't adaquetly cleaned with stains on the bed sheets and some grime lingering on the shower/bathroom walls. Usual bits and bobs like tea/coffee etc which you'd normally find. The breakfast was ok with choice but could be better. If you like your coffee in the morning, don't expect to find anything great as you get a small pot of instant coffee (Bewleys I think).

We don't like to complain, but this Maldron can improve in some areas having stayed at other Maldron hotels.

Dear Meh, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. Sincerely, Mike Gatt, General Manager.

My boyfriend and I stayed here on Friday 11th December on 1st night of reopening after the latest covid restrictions. We had stayed here a couple of years before whilst attending a concert in the city and it was my first choice when picking a hotel. There is such a lovely relaxed vibe about the hotel... the staff are so friendly yet professional and take a genuine interest in you and the purpose of your visit offering advice etc if needed. We were unable to have a drink in the bar as we had booked dinner in a nearby restaurant but we were able to take drinks up to our room which was fine as the room was very comfortable, amazing comfy bed and pillows with super shower , tv, tea and coffee making facilities etc. The room was absolutely spotless honestly just perfect. All the staff were complying with covid guidelines with a smile behind their masks 😁 breakfast was table service, delicious fry with continental as well if you wanted it. Special thanks to David at reception who checked us in, he is a real asset to the hotel and we will most definitely be back ! Keep up the good work folks, a hotel to be proud of ! Rachel +Noel x

The Crown bar is very close as is Robinson both are great for food as well, at the back of Robinson there is a place called Fibber Magees. All are within a 2 minute walk of the Maldron. I highly recommend them. Have a great time.
